I love this place! Great prices, and great Seafood Delight! When we lived in Slidell, we ordered here often. Now we live across the lake and don't get it as much- but we think about it often :)

This is your perfect neighborhood Chinese restaurant. They are very nice. I've been here twice now and love that they have dinner combinations, each coming with an egg roll and pork fried rice. The first visit I ordered the sesame chicken and the second time I ordered the pepper steak. The chicken was flavorful and good. The pepper steak wasn't what I was expecting. It was good however, my taste buds probably won't order it again. The egg roll is super delicious with shredded veggies. The fried rice is always fresh. They have 2 tables and 8 chairs so it's pretty much a takeout spot. Remember to ask for plastic ware if you need it because it is not provided.

Please do yourselves a favor and do NOT order from here. My husband ordered the general tso chicken and I had bourbon chicken. Both were absolutely disgusting. We shared fried wontons and aside from the fact the filling was nauseating and indistinguishable they were about as hard as a rock, I wouldn't even let me dig eat it. Surely we thought the egg rolls would be okay, how hard could that be? But oh no, they were brown inside and had an extreme gamey flavor which scared me. I felt sick all night and into the next day. If I could give this place no stars and stick a warning label on here I would.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Slidell, it reminds me of Chinese food from NYC. Everything on the menu is amazing and the portions for the price are very worth it!

It's great to find a Chinese place where the fried rice isn't dry! The General Tso chicken is amazing and so is the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli and chicken with cashew. Service is always friendly and the kids that are often there are adorable - you know it's a family place! Love the quart size takeout containers - we wash and reuse them for leftovers. :) Don't forget to tip! :)

Meh. Didn't like the hot & sour soup. The chicken & broccoli was good. The rice was weird. The egg roll was just ok.

I only like white meat chicken, so I always get the Kung Poe Chicken. It is very good. I've also had the hot and sour soup, and it was very good. Quick and cheap.

Great take out!!! The rice was some of the best... Had great flavor and wasn't dry at all!! The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. This was my first time eating here and I will def go back, my only complaint is that I didn't care for the egg roll... But it may have just been a little over cooked.

When the family wants take out Chinese food. This the GO TO place for us. The prices are cheap, the turnaround time fast, and the food? It's the bomb diggitty. Keep in mind, their forte is take out, so don't expect any grand dining experience while eating at the restaurant itself. It's tables, a few chairs, and that's it. Dammit, now I'm hungry for Chinese...

The food came out quickly and it was very good. It has the look of any normal little cheap Chinese food place, but the chicken and veggies are obviously very fresh. Pass up the panda express and choose Mr Joe's

Generally good eats. Lemon sauce could have more flavor with lemon chicken, but still good. Great fried rice! You don't get the runs after eating here. Best for takeout, unless you like plastic forks.

We wanted Chinese take out and decided to go with the place that had the best reviews and ranking. Mr. Joe's was great. Anytime I go to a restaurant and their kid or kids and playing or reading behind the counter is cool for me. It makes me think this is a truly family run business. The wonton soup was just average, but the shrimp egg rolls, shrimp Lo mein, and general tso's shrimp was good too. We will definitely be back, especially with prices as low as they were were and the quality of food you receive.

Mr. Joe is your average Chinese take-out place that every town has and we order there all the time! It's right next to our neighborhood so it's completely convenient for us. Everything that we've ever ordered there has been good and tasty. The prices are great and they're really quick! Our orders are always ready in about 15 minutes or so. Plus, we keep the majority of the containers that the food comes in so it's a bonus of tupperware!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
