My friends, this IS the Chinese restaurant of Slidell. Don't waste your time at the repulsive buffets. If you're looking for delicious Chinese food from the Asian grandmother you never had, look no further. This is the only Chinese restaurant in town that makes an attempt at creating the authentic atmosphere. You won't hear modern American pop songs but rather soothing music from the orient. The staff is professional, fast, and polite. The food is a flat-out bargain for the quality AND quantity you will receive. Imperial Chopsticks of Slidell, LA receives a high recommendation from me.

Not that great. The service was really fast but the food was not ALL THAT GREAT. Not that great of a place to sit and relax. Not that good.

Good food... Minus the hair fried in to the boneless chicken The chicken was good until I noticed a strand of hair in the crust of my fried boneless chicken.. Maybe it was just a bad day for them. I don't know. It was my first time eating from there. I won't be back.. I'm gagging just thinking about it. Then I witnessed the waitress bringing food out to the only table that was occupied... She picked up the fork and proceeded to dig in the patrons food and said this the wrong sauce.. The patrons were extremely nice stating that they would eat it anyway (which I certainly would not have!). Wtf was going on in that kitchen?? I wish I could blame it on the restaurant being crowded but it wasn't... or the huge demand of people waiting to be seated but that wasn't the case.. Ugh... Never again... I'd much rather spend my $6 elsewhere.. Or starve

The food and service are really good! I eat there all the time and will continue. A little expensive, hence the one star reduction.

I decided to try a new chinese place to see if other places were better. My wife. Got sesame chicken an i got lemon chicken. Id rated the sesame as average in taste and the lemon at below average. The egg roles were great though. The bill was 28$, needless to say i was shocked, i couldn't really understand the waitress on the phone which wasn't a big deal but i would have cancelled the order. I thought well cant cancel now so i took it expecting at least better ingredients. Nope turned out i can getter a better taste for 10 dollars cheaper at Yees off ponchartrain. Rice was regular rice no even fried! Good portions but what good is that if its bland and expensive no thanks. Yees im sorry i cheated on your chinese food!

Service is very fast. Within 2 minutes at lunch time I was already served my iced tea and soup with fried noodles. I had the Boneless Chicken (my favorite). Big serving with fried rice. The tea glass never went empty. I have been here a few times over the last few years the food has always been good and the restaurant clean. The restaurant has been at the same location for years. Very polite. I will be back with my family.

We enjoy our food every time we eat here. I usually get the shrimp with lobster sauce and shrimp fried rice. The food is always fresh and their lunch is very affordable.

Was looking for a Chinese restaurant and not a take away so choose this place. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening. I ordered the ginger beef and this seemed fine but my husband ordered the chicken curry and was most unimpressed. He left most of the curry and the waitress asked if he wanted a to go box and he told her he thought it tasted a little strange. The waitress told him that they hadn't had anyone else complain. It seems a lot of people come in for take away and this is a little off putting as they stand at the counter and talk, this did not help with the ambiance of the restaurant.

Nice little Chinese Restaurant everyone should try. This restaurant is kept clean and the service is very fast! I came during lunch time and was seated right away. The waitress took my order and within 2 minutes, she served me my drink and soup! My whole order came out fast, which is good since my lunch break is very time limited. The food portions was just right. My favorite entrees are the sweet and sour chicken and moo goo gai pan. Their prices are cheap also! You can get a lunch plate of your entree w/ rice and appetizer, soup, and a drink all for under $10! I think its the best Chinese Restaurant in Slidell by far!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
