We were stopping in on a trip home. We ate inside. It's a bit of a weird experience. Open air dining room crammed into a little space. There was a nice waitress that didn't have the best english. We ordered a pita and hummus plate and there wasn't enough pita to eat the hummus, so I asked for more pita and got another plate of pita and hummus. The falafel sandwhich was really good. If I had it to do again, I would hit the drive through or just go another five minutes down the road to one of the chain restaurants....

I haven't had anything bad here. The food is really good. I ordered the Traditional Gyro Pita sandwich today and it's soooo fresh!!

YEERO-YEERO! OPA OPA! GOOD GOOD! I just don't know what to say. What an experience to eat here. The blue and white exterior overwhelms but does not surprise you. It was decorated in the "Mad Greek" motif of that famous restaurant in Baker, CA or the one on Rainbow Drive in Las Vegas. (See the photos). When you open the door you expect the typical Greece tourist motif with the posters of the town on the cliff overlooking the Aegean. What you get is a parlor; dark and richly decorated as though a Greek version of those old Las Vegas gourmet room restaurants. Over the service window a TV shows an opera from the Megaro Opera House in Athens. I love it! The food... Oh, the food. We had gyros. They were terrific. I'll tell you something about French fries, though. I have yet to have a gyro that did not come with the best fries I ever tasted. It must be a Franco-Greek thing. Oh, one more thing: Is baklava now listed in the market along with gold? It should be.

Excellent food with multiple (5-10) options for vegetarians. I ordered the falafel sandwich combo (adds fries and drink) at lunch recently and left very satisfied. The falafel sandwich arrived on warm fluffy pita. The falafel inside were fantastically herbed (not too heavily or too lightly), tasted fresh, and were not overtly greasy. There was just the right amount of falafel to fill the sandwich. Also included were crisp lettuce, tomatoes, fresh onions, grilled eggplant, and wonderful hummus that presented a rich and vibrant flavor. The mix of textures, temperatures, and flavors in the sandwich made it an absolute joy to eat. The fries came piping hot, perfectly cooked, and were lightly seasoned with herbs and salt. A very simple but satisfying accompaniment to a great sandwich. Price: The prices have risen compared to the prices listed on the online copy of the menu. My falafel combo was ~$10 after tax - a bit expensive for the category this restaurant occupies. Thankfully the quality and taste of the food provided strong vindication. Service: Quick and fairly friendly. My order reached my table ~5-6 minutes within ordering, though I was eating before the lunch rush (11:30). The waiter checked in a couple of times on me during my meal. I reiterate what Manda stated previously - if you choose to dine in at Yeero-Yeero, the interior is quite elegant and almost a complete 180 degree turn from the loud blue and white exterior. However, it is a bit cramped inside, and it is not very suitable for larger parties. It would be appropriate for a small group of friends/family or couples. Highly recommended for the food! Looking forward to trying all the vegetarian options.

I don't get the 4 stars at all! We got in at 4:35 and were told wed have to wait until 4:50 when a server arrived (the reviews sounded good so we decided to stay). The exotic tea is wayyy too sweet, the server didn't understand our order so we got the wrong (more expensive) food and because we didn't figure it out until the check came ended up paying $8 more for our unseasoned, lackluster meal of mixed platter and chicken kabob with a side of pilaf for our 2 year old. Nothing had salt or pepper, the hummus was runny and overpriced and they don't tell you that you have to pay for drink refills until it's time to pay (they just refill your drink without asking so you assume it's free refills). During our entire meal the guys in the kitchen kept yelling at each other an no amount of elevator music could cover that up! So the service was lame, they charge you whatever they want, the food keep calling amazing tastes like unseasoned flip-flops (FYI: I lived in Turkey, I know Mediterranean and this was NOT it). I'd been going to Greek Corner in Bossier city and decided to try somewhere new because the service other there had been lackluster last time I was there but I think I'd he ok with slow service because their food is ACTUALLY good. I'd rather have crap service and great food than crap arrive and crap food. Never again.

After an evening at A.C Steere Park we ventured over to this Shreveport gem. I read the reviews and had high hopes for this Greek establishment. I need to manage my expectations better next time. We ordered two traditional gyros and the Greek sampler platter. The meat in all the food was delicious, well seasoned and tender. However everything after that was disappointing and bland. The Greek salad was a house salad with Greek dressing. The spanakopita was dry and crusty. The pastichio reminded me of beefaroni. The moussaka was decent. One of my favorite parts of Greek food is the tzatziki, and this did not deliver. It was short on dill and garlic. Overall this place was bland and I felt the food had been made hours ago and warmed up in the microwave after I ordered it. I will say the other reviews I've read have convinced me I may have just hit them on a bad night. I'll return for a lunch time gyro but I think ordering anything else off the menu here would be a stretch.

This place is a strange little gem. It appears that it was once a gas station and it still has many of those elements from the outside, but once you walk inside it looks fancy. A nice chandler, high back chairs, solid furniture. There is a TV playing a documentary on greek history. But that is not the only conundrum you will face. The majority of the time we went the server was what appeared to be a recently released ex convict. Not to say the service was terrible, but the servers gold teeth and dress code never matched the decor. Not a problem, almost adds to the charm, but still worth mentioning. The owner though is a cute little Greek guy that seems to really care about the food. Now for the food. The Gyro's are great, fresh and seasoned really well. I've eaten Greek food all across the county and this place ranks in the top 5 for sure (maybe even top 3?) and easily the best in the area. Really flavorful meat, great Tzatziki sauce. It's affordable, especially considering the portions. Overall this place is great.

This is quite the surprise. I'm a vegetarian and the waitress was quite helpful with the decision making process. I got the falafel gyro with a side of the cucumber sauce with fries on the side. Excellent. I will be back since there were quite a few options for vegetarians. The decor on the outside doesn't prepare you for the luxurious accommodations on the inside. The owners have made good use of the space.

Great little spot in Shreveport for lunch or dinner. Prices are fair for the amount you get. My wife and I usually share a salad or pita sammy and it's plenty! The French fries dipped in the humus is my favorite! I've never used the dining room but the drive through is always fast and friendly.

The chicken gyro primavera penne is excellent. This is their Tuesday special. And once again I love the floor show the owner puts on when things do not go fast enough for him.

I've only been through the drive thru- however food has always been fast and delicious. Gyros are huge and flavors are great. Would highly recommend giving this place a try!

My only explanation for the reviews posted here, is that folks base them on drive through visits and not dining experience. I also assume that this is the only location in town that serves gyros?? I am a Chicago guy and getting a good gyros in Chicago is easier than finding a Waffle House in Shreveport. I assume folks can't compare this place to a how most of these are run across the US. Yes, I have had better from CA to NY. Service: The tiny restaurant was attended to by one lady, whom I assume is the owner? There is no much happening inside and even getting refill requires her to pass the empty glass through the opening to the kitchen. With only one other table occupied, she still managed to spend more time sitting on a stool by the kitchen and not checking on my app or entrée after serving. Managed only one refill as well. Food: I ordered the fried eggplant and the combo gyros entree. It would have been nice for her to mention that the entrée already comes with a vegetable, you guessed it: fried fucking eggplant!. So as a lone diner I shell out $9 for eggplant and then get more eggplant. thanks! The food came out about 2 minutes after the app, as gyros are cooked on spit and get plated in minutes, Again, if you run the restaurant, you can time the delivery, I am not in the drive through. Plate comes out with gyros piled on top on salad. Is that the right way to serve hot/warm meat to put it on top of cool lettuce? Amateur hour here. The final straw was charging ~$15 for a plate that had several slivers of gyros meat. In Chicago I would pay 1/2 to get 3x as much. Apples and oranges, but still an issue. Sorry. hope to not offend the locals, but for me this is a one time visit. I wish you guys had more options.

First off we were their ONLY customer that were dining in. We walked in and the only server was on her phone, then handed us our menus, still on the phone. We ordered the beef kebob and the traditional Greek gyro. The beef from the beef kebob was alright, kinda dry but it was still ok. It came with rice and MAN I swear it's cheap minute rice because it had a weird stank in my mouth. The traditional gyro is actually pretty good but it's crazy expensive. If you just order it, it's $9.16 and does not come with fries (even tho the bottom of the sandwich section on the menu said it came with fries, but apparently that's only for the "combo") or else you pay extra for fries. So I'm not too happy about the price. The waitress was pretty rude. I will say I'm satisfied with the traditional gyro and might come once a year for it.

By the looks of this place you don't expect it to look so fancy inside. It's a bit stuffy and dark and the waitress was a bit strange, very aggressive and snarky, but no complaints about the service. The food was excellent. The hummus is delicious but they don't give you very much. My husband and I ordered the Ibiza and the Moussaka. The Ibiza was like a panini, flavorful crispy and creamy all at the same time. I would come back just for that. My husbands Moussaka was comfort food at its finest. It was like a Greek Shepherds pie. Go try this place it's worth a visit.

  • M M.

Maybe my opinion has to do with the fact that I'm from the Northeastern part of the US but this is not good Greek food. The tzatziki that I make at home is better than theirs. The hummus that you buy at the grocery store is better than theirs. And the chicken that I got was blah, served on a bed of lettuce, soaked in oil.

This place was always a favorite for getting drive-thru after school, and I always considered it more of a "fast food" type place until I went inside. The inside is a total surprise judging by the way it looks on the outside and the type of food they serve. The dining area has a very cozy and intimate feeling and is decorated very nicely. You wouldn't assume a place that serves gyros and french fries would be so lovely inside. Service is okay. They only ever have one person waiting tables because the place is so tiny and there is usually no more than a few tables occupied at a given time. It doesn't take very long to get food, and the menu is a lot more than just gyros. The hummus is the best I've eaten (compared to other Greek places in the area). Some of my favorite dishes are the Greek Trio and the paninis. Just a bit of a warning: this place is not ideal for groups larger than four. I went once with family and we had to sit at separate tables (they said the tables were too heavy to move). The food is great for a casual eating experience.

I was excited to try this place as we drove through Shreveport based on the reviews. But I was pretty disappointed. We walk in and it's clean so good start. But then I sit down in what must be one of the most uncomfortable chairs known to man kind. And wait and wait And wait And wait And wait For the waitress to turn around and acknowledge me. She finally does and we get the dolmades appetizer, the falafel sandwich, and a combo plate. It was not worth the 40 dollars we spent. The falafel was drive the hummus was plain. But the dolmas were good and the sauce was good. I won't be back next time I drive through

Four stars for this unique Greek restaurant located on a tiny corner of a busy four-lane highway. Parking is limited and you can drive through if you like. The interior is amazing and wonderful. You have entered an elegant restaurant, high ceiling and ornately decorated. Menu is great with all the Greek typicos and the waitress was a hoot. she is listed on the receipt as server 2. They have specials each day. I had stuffed g rape leaves which had meat and rice inside and were covered with thick lemon sauce. Yum. That came with salad or soup, but I wanted both so ordered a Greek salad as an additional side. Great salad and the soup was terrific. Lots of lemon in chicken soup with veggies. I could have eaten a serving bowl of the soup and suffer no embarrassment. It is that good. Wife had the traditional Gyro and that was HUGE. Their blend of meats for the revolving thing in the braizer was mild and tasty. I just could not get over the size of the pita bread for the gyro. That was from yum yum city also. Did not fully agree with server 2 that the fries were to die for, but they were cooked nicely and had a unique salty/sage and some other touch of flavor. This was a nice treat. Give it a try.

We love Mediterranean food and eat it in cities all over the country, so when we were passing through Shreveport and found this place on Yelp, we were anxious to try it. The first time we came, we were in a hurry so we just ordered from the drive-through, despite suggestions on Yelp to do otherwise. The food was outstanding! The Moussaka was my favorite, but everything (and I do think that we tried almost everything amongst the 6 of us) was as good as it gets. The next time we sat in the dining room (despite reviews of bad service). Boy, were we glad we did! It was so lovely and beautifully themed. Our server Duke was very polite and responsive and our food came out hot and prompt. The presentation of the food was right on and the charming setting made us feel like we were in a far away place. We plan on stopping here every time we pass by on I-20. Thank you for a fun experience Yeero-Yeero!

Been going here for awhile, I like the Gyro plate or sandwich to go (what I order most of the time) Atmosphere and seating is typical, (got to understand the culture). Service inside ... well one time the waitress - lets just say shouldn't be waitressing if she can't handle the job. (Don't blame this on the restaurant) Another time we had a waiter, very polite and proficient, easy to talk with. Provided great service. Always enjoy visiting with the owner, reminds me of when I was a kid in Chicago. Keep in mind this is a family owned place, not fast food, not a chain, but typical of this culture.

I'm disappointed, and I've waited almost 48 hours to go from angry to disappointed to post this. We eat here once or twice a month, usually via the drive through. The food is good, not usually knock your socks off - but good. My issue is a customer service one. I went through the drive through, gave my order, was given a price, paid, drove to the "pick up" side. Was then shown that they didn't charge me for my entire order, I needed to pay more, did that, was given my order, drove home, unpacked food, discovered I was missing an order or Spanakopita, phoned and was told to come get it and phone slammed down. Drove back, said I was there to pick up an item from my order that was missing, it was basically tossed out the window at me with a "here." Drove home and ate my now cold dinner.

Ok. I love Greek/Lebanese food. I had a rare evening to be able to pick up whatever I wanted just for me since the family had already eaten. I usually don't come to Yeero Yeero because honestly, I find them to be far too expensive. I went there for supper for the convenience of a drive-thru. I ordered a gyro and an appetizer of falafel. I grabbed a falafel at a red light because I was starving. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so damn salty I couldn't eat it. I thought I'd grab the tzatziki to dip it in to calm the salt a bit (my other places just included it with falafel), but none was provided. When I got home I found my sandwich with a small container of hummus. I thought that was odd since I didn't get pita, and have never dipped a gyro or falafel in hummus. Maybe they just grabbed wrong container. Hmmm... Dipping it in hummus didn't help either. Threw them away after my twelve year old made the most horrible face and spat a bite of one out. I don't know if it was a fluke, but it was upsetting since in all honesty fried kibby and falafel are my two favs when I go Greek. Gyro was good, though. Super bummer.

Beautiful atmosphere. The service is never much, but I don't mind. I love the food, but I stay away from some of the menu items because they can get greasy. The price can start to add up quickly. Overall a good spot for lunch. I always try to at least make it in once when I head to Shreveport.

this is such a special place to me, when i was a kid the building was a drive thru/walk up hamburger stand called "short stop" and boy has it come along way from then, this is one of Shreveport's first "greek" eateries. They started off, just as the hamburger stand did, as a drive thru/walk up place. But as it grew in popularity, so did the place, it turned into a little sit down restaurant! I am so glad shreveporters took to this place, how could they not? it's delicious food, moussaka fabuolous, and everything else is so wonderful. i heart yeero-yeero!

I've never been to a drive thru greek place before but it was a good experience. The service was fast and they were really friendly. The pita bread was good, but it's hard to mess that up. I also had the chicken gyro platter. It was decent, but I've had better. I think that it was way over priced for the amount of food that they gave me.

Oh Yeero Yeero, how do I love thee let me count the ways.... 1) Fast service 2) Best Gyro EVARRRRR 3) Oregano/Sage/Savory and Salted Fries Seriously, I love love love this place.... it doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's the inside, and the kitchen that counts. You might never guess that the inside is decorated perfectly and so clean!! Sure this place used to be some kind of burger stop/race burger, but the Greeks that own this place make you forget about it's history and make you appreciate their culture and food. The food is consistently great, the tatziki sauce is delicious, the meat is wonderful and fries are great too. This is my favorite place to eat in Shreveport!

The gyro platter was delicious. The interior of restaurant is like walking inside a 5 star restaurant. Exterior needs some work.

Hell, almost 5 stars. Nice staff, fast delicious Greek. I'm even thinking about going back tomorrow as well!

  • Wendy B.

Mean "yeero" and pretty darn good panini, too. The exotic tea is really tasty, but a bit too sweet. Baklava is good! An order is several pieces and satisfies! The dining room is a pleasant and stark contrast to the restaurant's exterior. It's worth the extra time to dine in. I miss the Greek waiters; they completed the ambiance of the place. A delightful break from ordinary.

  • Keith S.

The food here is very good, but it is a little expensive. I always find myself coming back though regardless of the price. If you ever get a chance, definitely eat inside. This may sound a bit ridiculous, but they must definitely have the nicest bathrooms in town.

  • Debster C.

One of Traci's co-workers recommended this place but when we drove up to this little shack I thought, there's a Greek restaurant in there? The place looks like it was a converted drive through burger joint on the outside but once you walk in it's all statues and marble and cool, calming space. They actually run an historical DVD on Ancient Greece on a large TV over the kitchen window. I will say, hands down, this was the best Greek meal I've ever had! The gyro meat was delicious! the tzaki was addicting. Do not be fooled by the outside, this place is a treasure! and well worth the short drive from Marshall, TX, I might add.

  • Donald H.

Gyro platter rocks and PERFECT French fries. Ate their today and the special was hot meat/rice stuffed grape leaves. Also had the lemon chicken soup. Both fantastic. The ambience is over decorated and amusing. The chairs have small round seats that swivel, also amusing. The owner is awesome. Yes, grumpy, but that adds so much! Quirky dining experience with terrific Greek food. Go check out his house on Arthur Street two blocks North take a right. You can't miss it. Outside decorated like restaurant!

  • Justin J.

You know the best thing about this place...the bathroom. It's almost trippy how spotlessly clean and amazingly decorated it is. Actually the whole place is like that. From the outside it looks like it could've been an old Short Stop Hamburger stand, complete with dumb waiter, but on the inside...holy shit. It's like walking onto a soft core porn set and I mean that in a good way. There's soft, glowing candles in the bathroom and marble statues and flowers and everything is so clean and shiny. Okay, got that out of my system...the food kicks ass. I thought Yeero-Yeero would fold, but I have been proven completely wrong. By serving quality, reasonably priced, freshly made Greek type food, It has now been "woven deeply into the fabric of Shreveport" (thanks Billy Joe) and become a great restaurant for lunch. Well done Yeero-Yeero, you rule.

  • Stacey W.

This place should be called Yumo-Yumo!!! Honestly, it's the best gyro I've ever had. Every time I pass through Shreveport I stop here for a gyro. It's a little hard to understand their accent through the 20+ year old drive through speaker, but it's totally worth it.

I have been before for the yeero and they are very good.first time inside to sit down.the decor is not what you expect looking at it from the outside.i had the stuffed cabbage roll,it was good.and I'm no a cabbage fan.it great for lunch service is fast and friendly.

I've dined in and I've also gotten take-out from this place.... I'm gonna go ahead and say that dining in was the more successful experience. That time I got the chicken gyro platter, which was basically the closest I could get to chicken shawarma. It was fantaaaastic. My friends got grilled chicken and gyro platters, and we all traded bites and agreed that it was all damn tasty. It had been awhile since I moved down here from NY and so a loooong time since I'd had a falafel, so I drove through one day and got a falafel sandwich, which I'd been craving for awhile. I was utterly dismayed at the price--falafel is nothing if not cheap to make, so paying $6 for the sandwich was ludicrous in my mind, but I had to satisfy that NEED. So I took it and drove my merry way home, though curious why it was so cylindrical. My first bite was HUGE. I immediately regretted it. First off, it was basically doused in tatziki, which is usually NOT on a falafel. If anything there's gonna be some tahini/hummus. Which was there too. So I had in my hands one saucy, gloppy mess. The pita was soaked and starting to tear so I resolved to eat this quickly and chowed down. The falafel balls themselves were all right. Not too greasy, but they weren't any better than a falafel cart on the street that I'd paid $2.50 at either. There were more onions than I cared to deal with. And then on top of it were sliced eggplant, which I've never encountered in a falafel before, and which lent a really unfortunate texture. I couldn't finish it. Blegh. The most recent time I got myself a gyro sandwich. I was fairly disappointed with how greasy my bag AND my fries were, and that the coke I'd ordered was flat, but otherwise, was infinitely more pleased with this particular take-out adventure. The sandwich itself, thankfully, I had nothing to complain about.

The gyro meat is fantastic. The price of the gyro platter is a little high, but the serving size is good. I'd recommend two gyro's for the price of a platter. the Tzatziki sauce is good, and the eggplant that accompanies the platter is delicious. I'd also recommend the Greek sampler for a sampling of what they offer, and the Moussaka, which comes in the sampler and can be ordered individually. I'd agree that the owner lacks charm, but forget the charm, this place is great fast food Greek. The serving sizes are plentiful, and the surrounding sit down Mediterranean / Greek restaurants could learn from this place regarding food taste and quality. They also have a delicious exotic iced tea. Order this is you want to try something new with the platter.

I will never go to this place again. I rarely give fives, but I also rarely will give a place a one. The owner is one of the rudest people I have ever met. The staff members are not much different. The service is horrible and the owner does anything to save a couple pennies. He is always rushing people out so that he can flip the tables. He really should not be in the service industry, and I will never support this place. The food is not memorable and the gyros are mediocre compared to those I've had elsewhere. One star is generous.

Definitely unexpectedly good. The interior decoration was worth the shock and awe. The food is good, but the prices account for the 4 stars. The $20 lamb chop meal was very good, but should have gone for $15. Overall, it was a good experience with authentic Greek cuisine.

  • eva G.

I agree with Gracie, I have dined in and taken out, both my take out experiences were pretty bad, but my dine in was pretty good. I ordered a gyro which was pretty expensive to begin with for Shreveport prices 5.99 without including drink or fries, I ordered at the window and drove less than one car length to pay and without exaggerating I had not ordered more than 5seconds before and when I pulled up to the window the food was all ready which I thought was just a little too fast for my taste. I thought well maybe it will be good when i get home I drove less than 5min and made it home well I was disappointed to say the least, the pita bread was soggy the gyro meat tasted dry everything about it was just bad. I gave this place 2stars because my dine in experience was pretty good if you don't take into account the owner who is not just very pleasant in general. My suggestion is to head over to Athena's on Line & pierremont they have really good food, their staff is always very friendly and I have never been dissapointed.

Ill start by saying I havent eaten here in a couple years. If I had eaten here more recently and it was as good I remember, i would give it 5 stars. The gyros were always the best and the fries were very good too. The gyros were much better than ones I get at nicer restaurants. I always got to go so I cant comment on the service or decor.

Greek Cuisine

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.

For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.
