This has got to be my wife's favorite place to eat. We have come here for years, and Mexican isn't my favorite fare, but I have to say this place is pretty decent. I wasn't that hungry, so we split an order of beef fajita nachos with extra cheese. They really lay on the cheese, but they were a little light on the beef this visit. Normally, our nachos would have big chunks of steak, but this time it was mostly bits of meat, like grill scrapings. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, and I received what I expected: adequate nachos. I'm sometimes surprised with an outstanding meal, and Posado's can be inconsistent at times, but you usually leave somewhat satisfied.

Our waiter attitude was excellent but his service was at a snails pace. Uggh. The salsa tasted like freshly blended tomatoes. No spicy peppers at all. I prefer a little kick in my salsa. They ran out of bowls, so my friend got two cups of soup. Scary thought here as they were not crowded. So either many were broken, stolen or the dishwasher was broken and some slow person was hand washing dishes. How do you run out of bowls on a none crowded night? The presentation of the food was excellent. The temperature of the food was excellent. The taste, now that calls for another review. It taste like dish liquid was in my food. Maybe my plate needed a second rinse. Anyway, I'm done won't be returning. Although it looked great there was no taste in anything.

We come here all the time. Service is usually mediocre. We come here cause my husband loves their fajitas and cause it's close to our house. The reason for two stars is simply 1- write our order down! I ordered a cup of queso and you brought a bowl and charged me for it! 2-when I wait tables or I'm bartending, I like to run my own food!!! Not rely on the expo to run it. And if the plating Looks like Shit I send it back to the kitchen to have them re-plate it! 3-pre-bus your tables!!! Did you really think I wanted to eat dessert with dirty dishes in front of me!!!!

Terrible service! First of all, the waitress said there was no way to split our check. Surely she could have asked somebody. She didn't offer us any tortillas with our salsa which we found out later is standard. Also, it took about 45 minutes to get our table's drinks. Salsa was really good though!

Had to ask to be sat. Had to steal silverware off of another table. Had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks. Food was cold & crusted over when it finally arrived. Waited 10 minutes for to go boxes and the check after we asked for it. On top of all that, bathrooms are gross. Avoid like the plague. Eat ANYWHERE else.

What can I say about Posados, the free stuff is the best stuff there. Everything else tastes the same. Bland and bitter. The best part of the fajitas is the "butter". The wait staff is average. The hostess can be argumentative. "It isn't cold in here" well maybe if I was 200 pounds or working there it wouldn't be. Bleah! Pre cooked puke!

This restaurant is not what it used to be. The food is okay at best. There are other Mexican restaurants in Shreveport with better tasting food. The wait staff and hostesses are mostly rude. The bus boys are nicer than the wait staff... I caught a glance of the kitchen - gross. Hopefully it can turn back around. This place was awesome years ago.

Chips and salsa are the best!!! The reason I gave 3 stars was because I had to wait quite a while for our drinks to be refilled. (I only asked for one refill, so it's not like I was bugging the waitress) and the restaurant needed a good cleaning. There was food under the table from a previous diner. However, the food was plentiful, but not exceptional in taste. I ordered a chicken enchilada with queso as a topping. It was tasty, and I will definitely go again.

Service is always horrible when I go there. Even if you are the only one in there eating, it will take forever for you to get your food. It has really gone down hill the past few years.

Totally blah... Food took forever and was not worth the wait. I wish I could say more, but there is really not much to say.

Dinner at this place: Waiter had shirt tail hanging half in half out. Underneath the table had not been cleaned out with plate and food. My order wasn't correct twice, chips cold and hard. dip was runing all over the outsde the bowls, had to engage another waitress to get additional dip and to get my order corrected. Tacos were $4.25 each!!! Drink $2.75. Only positive was the dip has a good flavor. It wasn't busy!

This place is top drawer. 4 stars for the sheer kitschyness of the place but the bonus star goes for the friendliness of the servers. This place is the bomb, I can't say enough good things about it. Mexican food with crawfish, who wudda thunk?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
