When I was on a project in St. Louis for 6 months in 2011, I ate at Panera bread (or St. Louis Bread) at least a couple of times a week. Once the project was done, I threw away Panera card thinking there would be no way that it will be opened in Shreveport!! Never say never, right? I was So excited to have their Fuji Apple chicken salad and broccoli and cheddar soup. Yum. Once you are in the store, you forget that you're in Shreveport ( I say this as compliment, in case it is not clear.) They did a good job with seating and decor to look like other Panera Bread. At first, the service was iffy but I thought it was just a learning curve. Last couple of times I've been, the service has gotten faster. Having said that, we waited at the drive through for 30 minutes... when you have a crying baby in the back seat and you're stuck in the drive through line, it is NOT fun. I would avoid their drive thru for a while until i hear significant improvement. It's still pretty busy place for lunch, which is between 11 and 2:30 so I'm not sure when I can finally bring my laptop and start working for a few hours without feeling like a squatter.

Went to panera expecting good things.. Nope. Ordered a "freshly made" Greek salad with chicken. What I received was old lettuce and plastic chicken. The salad had the lettuce cap (hard white part) and the lettuce was turning brown and transparent. When I confronted management about it and requested it be re-made with fresh lettuce this time, they pulled out their lettuce bin and told me it's not even cut here; that they receive it in packages and throw it in the bin.. So the question remains.. What do they make? Do they just slap ingredients out of bags and boxes? Save yourself the trouble.. Go to walmart down the street and look through their trash bin for fresher lettuce. Lazy and forgetful employees and management.

Panera Bread is something that I don't eat at home but will happily go to for the hormone free deli meats when I visit my parents. I found the Panera here to have quick service and good food. It's not anything particularly exciting in the culinary realm but it's nice and like I said, serves the kind of unprocessed meats that I like to put on my sandwich. Besides can you name any sandwich shops or bakeries around here that also have a drive-thru? I always grab a chocolate croissant for myself. It's like a Hershey Kiss wrapped in sweet bread. Yum! Recommend to anyone looking for a slightly healthier lunch (totally depending on what your order!) or a decadent afternoon dessert and coffee.

I LOVE Panera. This location, however, never fails to get something wrong. I always use the drive thru so I don't have to get out of my car but after the last 4-5 times of getting home only to find out something was missing or made wrong, I guess I have to go in from now on. I wish I didn't enjoy the food so much or I would boycott. But alas, the bacon turkey bravo is worth the headache.

I love Panera Bread's food. However, this particular location seems to be in need of working out some kinks. We have been twice...the first time we did drive through and half our order was missing. Luckily, I checked before driving off so they corrected it. But when I got home, the lettuce in my salad was in horrible condition. It was brown and wilted. Yuck! I also had the tortellini, which was delicious. My bf ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich, and they gave him a ham sandwich. The second time we ate in and everything was fine.

I've been here once and it didn't impress nor disappoint me. The food was decent, not excellent. I couldn't really taste the "freshness" of the bread and the flies were definitely a problem. The place was packed and you had to seat yourself so finding a table was impossible. I got a turkey panini which was pretty good, but the price was waaaaaay off for both the size and taste of the sandwich. And a side of kettle chips... their selection of sides is lacking. I can see why people like this place and I don't discourage anyone from trying them, but it isn't really worth the price they ask for. It's like paying $3 for a single stalk of celery. You could get more, better food at Applebees or Chili's for around the same price.

Food here is good but if you want to hear annoying teenagers goof off and act unprofessionally, check it out!

Waited in the drive thru line at Panera for 15 minutes. I order the Soba Noodle bowl. The woman responds "I'm sorry... We don't have the stuff to make it". I say ok. I'll get the steak and blue cheese salad. She responds " I can make it but we don't have the steak" They were polite however and I appreciate good service.

The tuna sandwich was good, but the desserts were definite winners. I had a chocolate pastry thing and my daughters got a cinnamon roll. I have never imagined how delightful a cinnamon roll would be with lemon. It's great.

Finally Shreveport has a Panera Bread...it opened up on 17 April 2013. Always a good spot to get some lunch... Update: way too busy at lunch...and dinner...I would suggest coming in early.

Good as any panera bread. Their servers and waitstaff are very attentive and nice. But their parking lot is horrible. Where the location is is bad for how much business they get.

I usually order my usual bacon turkey bravo, while the food is generally fresh and the bread is chewy and hard, the tomato on my sandwich makes the whole thing soggy. I do love kettle cooked chips!

If you've never had their iced green tea, then you surely are missing out. I've come here just for the beverage before as it's definitely a favorite: sweet and so perfect. Pandora has recently redeemed itself to me over recent years as I used to hate the place after learning there food is mostly pre-packaged stuff. However, after not having Pamela anymore for awhile and needing to drive an hour to get here, I realized how much I was missing. The toasty subs and veggie soups are a nice take on the usual fast food or sub places. It's a nice in-between where it's not too fast of a place but not a fancy sit-down either. Definitely nice to have free wi-fi and sweet options if you just want a place to relax for a bit.

This is basically fast food as their menu items come prepackaged and they just do a lot of thawing, heating, and assembling of heavily processed food with most people thinking they are getting freshly made healthy food. However, I do feel they have many items which are healthier options than places like McDonalds and Burger King. Also, due to pressure put on them and many other restaurant chains, Panera Bread has agreed to eliminate artificial colors, sweeteners, preservatives and flavors by 2016 from their menu items. So...I am rating them as a fast food place instead of rating them for being a fast food place. With Panera Bread opening up at 6am, many people have the opportunity to grab breakfast from there on their way to work provided they allow extra time for possible 15 - 20 minute waits. They provide a much wider array of menu items than other fast food places and in my opinion, much tastier options, although at a higher price as would be expected. From my many visits to this location, I find the restaurant consistently clean. The food I get is USUALLY done right with all items received and customized as ordered, and most importantly, very tastly for fast food. Most of the employees I have encountered have been very friendly and professional. The big exception is with the young cashiers. I don't understand why they are unable to hire better cashiers. They tend to be very indifferent with many being blatantly rude and the biggest issue I have had with them is when I have tried to redeem freebie items from their rewards program, which, as often as I go should be a lot of freebies. However, for whatever reason, they usually can not give them to me. Several times I have merely received indifferent shoulder shrugs and off-comments about the rewards thing being goofy and that this happens a lot and my receipt received will even list the reward as available when the cashier says it doesn't list it on her screen. I have long since given up on trying to earn or redeem their rewards lest they raise my blood pressure too much :-) but it is costing them a star.

Stopped by on my way back into town, hoping for a quick salad and noodle bowl. At the drive thru, I specifically asked if the salad contained almonds and was told that it could be made without almonds. "No problem." Well. Apparently it was a problem, because my salad was full of them. The noodle bowl was just meh. Bland. For me, this visit was the last straw. The first strike was a while back when I (and many others) witnessed employees fist fighting in the parking lot. The second strike was a few months ago when they completely screwed up my order then argued with me about what I'd asked for. Today's visit was the third strike. I am done.

Rudest employee I've ever come across. First time in along with my 89 yr old dad. Asking questions on the bread at the whole bread counter deciding what we wanted and the worthless, unprofessional woman darted away in the middle of my dads question about Panera. I openly commented "so yore going to walk away?" "Someone will be with you in a minute". The atmosphere was set! Will not visit this location again.

I've been to many Panera but this one is by far the worst one I've ever been to. The service is terrible here. People who work here are a bunch of kids who have no passion or will to do their best at their job and the cashier was the worst. She cut me off when I was ordering and literally looked at me up and down as I was looking at the menu. The floor was dirty and the bathroom needed attention. Very disappointing.

I had a great lunch with my wife. The young lady by the name of Shelby did a great job suggesting what to eat. We really like Panera bread. I wish they had one in Texarkana Arkansas.

Typical Panera, you get your fix by drive thru and keep it movin'. I always get the creamy tomato soup and baguette, which is really good any time but I prefer it for a nice light lunch. My daughter's go to meal is the rich and creamy mac and cheese, which may be too rich for some, but she loves it. My wife's favorite is the mediterranean veggie. The fresh baked breads are all really good.

Swung through the drive thru on an unseasonably chilly late April morning, and ordered up two Power breakfast sandwiches and a sausage and gouda souffle. The sandwich is made up of ham, white cheddar and egg on whole grain bread. Being a sausage fiend and a gouda fiend, how could you really go wrong with the souffle? Both items were delicious and I totally would've ordered a coffee, but already inching up towards fifteen bucks on breakfast, I eased up. Besides, I make a mean cup of Hills Bros at the house, anyway. I will say this, in fast food-dom, the Power Sandwich has de-throned the Egg McMuffin (easily!) as my new favorite breakfast sandwich! It is extremely tasty! It makes my taste buds do the Harlem Shake! Panera Bread is way more than bread! They also serve Panini sandwiches for lunch and dinner! The drive thru was also very fast and friendly! Panera is located in the trendy new hot spot area of food places on East 70th, next to FreeBirds (whoo!) and Five Guys Burgers and Fries!

YUCK! The menu showed much promise. It reminded me of Au Bon Pain, but I was SORELY disappointed. A bit pricey, especially for what you get.
