This is by far one of the worst restaurants I've been to period. Not because of the franchise but because of management & staff. To start it took 5 minute soft someone to recognize us. The food bar was a mess, service was slow and unprofessional, not to mention the manager was more interested in gossip than ensuring the restaurant was run in an orderly fashion. The health board should visit this place ASAP. If you want to be treated as if you're doing them a favor by all means visit them. However, if you are looking for good service & a clean environment you would want to try somewhere else.

Have eatten there many times. We love the food..is it a five star joint? Nope but you pick the food you want cooked, we always leave a tip for the guys at the grill, and enjoy...the music is quite loud...Our server told us that's so you can't hear the people next to you. Well they got that right, we could bearly hear the waitress..we will be back...and never had any problems getting our drinks or food...

Would not recommend. Place was very unkempt. I was appalled at the food scattered all over the place. (See photos) Service was HORRIBLE. My husband never even got his drink. Food was actually good and they didn't charge us because of the bad service...and that was without complaining.

The only reason I gave this business two stars instead of one is because I do actually like the food and like the fact that I have free range to choose what I eat. That being said, this place appears to have been mismanaged since the day it opened. Almost every time I've gone there to eat they are understaffed, not been able to handle a high volume of customers, and if you are coming anytime from 11:00AM to 2:00PM expect your food to take 30 to 45 minutes. I really do wish this place was better managed because I would most definitely go more often.

Upon walking in it was tough to figure out if this was a quick serve location or a sit down restaurant. Ended up being a bit of both; which is a bit of a cluster as the dinner portion I had was on the small side. They offer apps, well only 2 if that counts! I had the pot stickers and it appeared they were previously frozen, thawed out and fried on one side. The proteins are plentiful, but quality is awful. I had the marinated steak and it had no flavor and I was spitting out pieces as they were chewy pieces of rubber. I loaded up sauce, garlic water and pepper, yet the food had no taste. In terms of service, it seemed ok and the mgr (young guy) walked around apologizing for the smoke; as I guess they were having an issue with the exhaust fans. A patron asked for one of the TVs to be turned to a Rangers game and that for some reason involved 3 waitresses to figure out the remote and channel. In the meantime my sweet tea cup was empty for quite a while. Overall, I am not sure what this place has over a Panda Express. I know its not a fair comparison, but basically its the closest similar option in the area. Panda on the other hand is cheaper, better tasting food and quick service.

    I. Loved Ghengis grill in Dallas so was so excited when we got one in shrevrport but it no doubt will not be in business long . They evidently have terrible or no management . I went about 1130 on Sunday so they had just opened and not much business yet the place was a mess and they were out of a lot of the vegetables and some meats. Food was dropped all over as in some above photos And on floor there were employees and manager standing around. Not taking care of it I managed to. Get somewhat of a collection of food together and it was delicious I wish they would get some managrment in here to turn this place around before they have to close their doors

NEW REVIEW: Wow! I've never gone back and upgraded a review before. Typically when a business goes into the trash it's not competent enough to pull itself back out. My friends, family, and fellow countrymen had written off this restaurant as a wasted "has-been". I'm here to tell everyone COME BACK! Corporate has stepped in and take back over the place. It is markedly improved. Seriously it was astonishing. The restaurant was clean, the staff was super friendly and the food was great. The only reason I returned after 2 years was morbid curiosity. All I can say is I'm pleasantly surprised. Thank you to whoever cared enough about this place to clean it up and turn it around. _________________________________ OLD REVIEW: 9/27/13: I love the idea of this restaurant. The first few times I ate here when it opened I was very happy about the food and experience. However that rapidly degraded. This has been blacklisted by all of my friends and I. The management and staff has allowed this potentially nice and enjoyable place to become a nasty, sticky, dirty, uncomfortable, poor service and miserable restaurant. If these things don't bother you then by all means go... the food was still all right. I was just concerned about the safety and quality of the food after observing everything else inside that has degraded. Dine at your own risk.

What really sucks about this place is the food is actually good. I say that because I would love to hate this place 100% because everything else about it is horrible. Service is terribly slow or nonexistent. My wife noticed the ceiling was leaking right outside of the bathroom. The place is always filthy. The floor around the buffet is always littered with food. It seems like the buffet is always out of something. The last time I was here I had to wait in line for 15 minutes because no one was taking peoples food to be cooked. I've ate here about 5 times now each one has been about the same experience. We were there a good 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order, all while the manager stood up at the back talking and chatting. Don't even think about going here for your lunch break if you want to make it back to work on time.

Just moved to the area. A lot more variety in some aspects than most Mongolian restaurants. Although I wouldn't recommend the desert as it came out in an extremely undesirable way. Bad rotation of product in that aspect. Will go back again.

Horrible experience this evening. The "grill masters" dropped my daughter's bowl. I should have foreseen this, as the guys were goofing around and taking their sweet time cooking the queued bowls. (I counted a dozen in front of ours.) We had to shlepp through the ingredient line all over again, then they BURNED the second bowl. We won't be back until the owner gets some mature help who take their jobs seriously. Location is probably the only thing saving this place right now, but they'd better get it together quickly if they want to survive in this busy corridor. We've never had problems at the Dallas or Plano Genghis Grills.

Great food and experience! It was a little difficult the first time I did it and I ended up over seasoning my food but I know better now. The service does lack a lot!!!! If you have the patience to deal with the wait staff and crappy parking than I would definately recommend giving this place a try.

I have been several times and think the food is awesome and have nothing but praise for the service. One of my new favorite places to eat in Shreveport!

My friends and I were super-pumped about the Genghis Grill making its' way here to the 'Port City, and as it currently stands, this is the only location in all of Louisiana! We were so excited in fact, that the night before Christmas Eve, a friend and I ducked out and away from our own various family members and loved ones to go check this place out at around 9:30pm! Surprisingly, having just opened, the place wasn't slammed. Although, it had the distinct look of having been slammed. It wasn't dirty or anything, really. It just seemed like the proverbial smoke was clearing, if that makes any sense. We walked in and were seated almost immediately. We checked out the layout and design of the place, and then went to the grabbed a couple of recipe cards, and went to the toppings line to fix our bowls to take on to the chef to stir fry. We each got two bowls and they were both really good. You can make all sorts of interesting creations at your whimsy. We had chosen to get the bottomless bowls, which allowed us to make as many as we like. The food and service were both well done. We both plan on coming back at some point, once the trendiness wears off. Next time, I will go when I am starving, to get my bottomless bowls' worth!
