Chipotle is my go to "fast food". The organic menu is dependable and easy to choose from. Enough choices to offer variety and not so many as to cause frustration. This particular location is usually friendly and always helpful. They usually facilitate any additional requests, such as an extra little scoop of this or that, or an extra taco shell. Last night, I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing and the staff didn't treat me like an imposition and even offered me an extra iced tea before they cleaned the crock for the night. The military discount is a plus as well. Of course they aren't perfect as they do employ teenagers and young adults, but overall it's worth what you pay.

Overrated! So overrated. Chipotle love has pretty much blown up social media, and after going there, I have no idea why. Got a burrito.. cold mush. The only thing positive thing about them is the entertaining little stories on their cups. Freebirds across the street is much better.

Pretty good for a quick in and out place. I had the carnitas burrito with brown rice, veggies, black beans, mild salsa, sour cream, lettuce, and guacamole. It was bursting out of the burrito. Prob had a little too much rice and I would have rather had cheese instead of guacamole; but they didn't have any when I went there. It was still pretty good though. Def on my list if I am craving a fast burrito.

This location needs training on Celiac disease/food allergies. I had to explain to the poor kid at the counter that I was essentially VERY allergic to gluten and he would need to change his gloves and follow me down the line. He had never heard of this before. He was more than happy to do it and didn't bat an eye, but there was a lot of confusion with the other people at the other stations. The girl at the salsa portion wanted to help me but I told her he had to do it- she said she just changed her gloves, but she was resting her hands on the counter. Another employee wasn't sure if she could cover my bowl with a lid or put it in a bag with my husband's food. This is why I told the first guy that he had to go down the line with me. It was a very awkward experience for me. I would much rather tell one person what the deal was and then have them already know what to do. I don't want the whole restaurant knowing and I don't want a scene. It's bad enough. BUT- the employees were all very polite and tried their best to help. This is merely a training issue. Chipotle has a reputation as being one of the best places to order GF. I chose it specifically tonight because I didn't want to have a big deal made, but I ended up being very embarrassed. Another thing- this is the second time in a couple months that they didn't have carnitas. Not good. I ordered chicken instead, but there was a lot of grizzly pieces and I ended up taking the chicken out. Of course, Chipotle usually has great food. I love that it is non-GMO too. I don't think I would go back if it were busy.

So I love chipotle! However, the chipotle in Shreveport is no good. I have tried it three different times, and every one of those times I have only been able to eat about 1/4 of my burrito due to different issues making it unpleasant. The last time I went (last night), not only was the burrito cold (the cheese didn't even melt inside the burrito) but the people making them did weird proportions, and my burrito had hardly any beans and rice, quite a bit of meat, and waaaaaaay too much salsa. I was basically eating salsa with unmelted cheese and chicken mixed in. The service was not very friendly. the line moved quickly, but only because they weren't very busy and they were definitely keeping the pace rushed. I only mention this because the woman making the burritos interrupted me COUGHING three times to ask me if I wanted a burrito or a bowl. Call me sensitive, but it was definitely kind of rude. No 'hi, how are you' or 'thanks, come back again'. So, I guess I will have to go back to the old days and just get excited to eat chipotle when I go to dallas or Houston. Disappointed because we waited so long for chipotle to come to Shreveport! This chipotle doesn't even seem like the same restaurant as the chipotles I have been to in the other cities.

Worst location in terms of cleanliness...appalling. Bathrooms reeked of urine, every table filthy. Ton of employees but only 1 actually working.

The service was really good, the employees seemed happy to serve me. I ordered a steak burrito, and was surprised by the quality of the steak; the only comparison I could make is if I bought a ribeye from the store and grilled it myself. It was a lot of food for the almost $7. I was really only disappointed by the chips and salsa I ordered on the side. The chips were very stale and tasted sour; if it was supposed to be a hint of lime, it was not executed well. The salsa I ordered also seemed more like a chili sauce than anything, and after about 5 chips I had to give up on them. I'm a huge chips and salsa fan, and it's rare that I won't stomach even that. I'd recommend to my friends to try it, but with other burrito options nearby, this would only be a second choice for me. The chips and salsa are a deal breaker in a crowded market, and that's honestly kind of hard to mess up.

I love Chipotle!! I was aware I would have to wait but the food totally makes up for it!! I had a burrito and a bowl for my son! It was AMAZING! I was highly disappointed however, after buying 5 bags of chips. They were so salty I couldn't eat them.

Out of all the Subway-style/burrito places in this town, especially on the corner of Youree and 70th, we think this is the best one. We love the grilled chicken and a big ol' spoonful of guac on the burrito-in-a-bowl. Plus the place seems to draw an interesting cross-section of people. Kinda fun...

I am not truly impressed with Chipotle of Shrveport. I have been to one in Ohio and it's great. They are fairly new to Shreveport so I will give them that, but they do not have a wide variety of choices. Very limited selection. I was hoping for wheat tortilla, cilantro and spinach. They only had regular tortilla, only one type of lettuce and no other greens. Disappointed for Chipotle.. I will definitely be going back to the Chipotle in Ohio. When people say it is similar to subway styles.. I agree except they have different bread choices..

There is nothing better to melt away the winter ice and slush from the area today, than to announce that Chipotle on Youree Drive will officially open its' doors for business on this very day as you read this!! Makes you feel all warm and cozy on the inside, doesn't it? It should definitely bring a welcome heat to your taste buds and your stomach! This new business is located right in front of the Target and Best Buy shopping area on Youree Dr. housed in what used to be Maggie Moo's Ice Cream Shop. We should also probably thank another of our successful Shreveport businesses, hometown, Academy Award-winning Moonbot Studios for maybe having some influence in bringing this wonderful restaurant our way, as Moonbot created the internet sensation and 2013 short film, "The Scarecrow" in partnership with Chipotle and Creative Arts Agency Marketing. Check it out on Youtube!!! Anyway, Chipotle is here now! We are excited! And bring the HEAT to the icy tundra of Shreveport-Bossier! We need it! And we need it now!!! Valentine's Day may be this Friday, but we are ready to show the love now!!! Chipotle will be open 11am to 10pm daily!

It's ok. Nothing spectacular. It is fresh. Steak was very fatty though. Chicken was great! If u are looking for a light lunch meal, this is the place that won't make you want to loosen your belt! Now if you want good burritos, tacos, nachos, etc.... Go to free birds and you will for sure have to loosen the ole belt!

I kept hearing all the hoop la about Chipotle so my family and I decided to try it. We went on a Saturday around 2pm. The line was long but not out of control. The woman at the front of the line ordering was there for 15 minutes before the line moved. They only had one person making burritos and one at the register who kept walking off. We were in line for over 30 min before our turn. I ordered the carnitas burrito they were almost out of carnitas instead of getting more from the warmer they put two little pieces of meat on my burrito. My husband got the steak burrito and every piece of meat was all fat we pulled the entire burrito apart and all fat. The chips were soggy chewy almost like they were stale and so salty they were uneatable. I'm not sure if it is just this location but it was horrible. I will not return. I face the same lines at Moes and it's always fast there and the food is good.

The staff was friendly and the place is clean. I am a rather picky eater so on this menu my choices are limited. For any first-time diner do not consider this a typical Tex-Mex typestyle restaurant. There is no queso here although they do have chips. They do not serve blended cheeses. What I found most surprising was that they do not have ground beef. Once again I restate the fact that you should not consider this a typical Tex-Mex style restaurant. I think that my wife and I will just go to Moes across the street if are going out for something similar.

Fast casual chain, higher than average quality. Best burrito in a fast food setting you can get with the exception of taco trucks and that will be a hard find in north Louisiana. Ingredients are fresh, atmosphere is modern, clean. Worth a bite, nothing more.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
