This is one of my favorite spots in Louisiana. A truckstop with some of the best food you can ever eat... I maybe stop here every week or every other week when I'm coming through Louisiana. The gumbo here is the bomb, And it's all-you-can-eat when you purchase a meal. But if you want really good home cooking make sure you come through around lunchtime they have an all-you-can-eat buffet that's from your mamas kitchen. But be here on time they put it up early and they don't keep it up all day long. This gets a five stars for me a BigCat approve, definitely recommend it to all travelers. Stop in and tell them BigCat Truckers sent you.

Small business and the food is good the gumbo tastes pretty good and for a truck stop all the other food is not bad at all the ladies that work here are friendly and helpful. And there is plenty of parking and clean restrooms

Not good went to the wrong place, meant to go to Chef Roy Frog City, crazy that they named this place so close to the other one. Let's just say everything tastes like it came out of a TV dinner. . Our waitress was good and friendly. But we won't be back...

So you see the big sing on the interstate for Frog City and it sounds interesting. I mean come on it is the Frog Capitol You take the exit saying to yourself I need to gas up anyway. Then behind the big clump of trees you see it. It is a pathetic dump of a store with the highest gas prices for miles. Sure there is a casino attached but based on looks I would avoid it as well. There are a lot of options on the interstate that offer a clean store with a great selection of merch and food and good gas prices. Why stop here? I heard the food is good so maybe that is why. I was interested in the store and some gas and that was a huge letdown

It's a truck stop cafe. Expect truck stop cafe foods. Fried things, burgers, and enormous helpings. Also, they have a toad sandwich as well as frog legs on the menu. Order at your own risk.

Bummed out because our stop in Rayne at Frog City was more hype than results. Road trip 2012 brought us through Rayne, and I was told Frog City was the place to eat. Seems like a popular place for the locals, which I always take as a good sign, but for someone stopping through, and servers not clearly explaining the options (buffet vs. menu ordering), our stop for lunch was a let down. The prices on the menu were high for the area, and quantity of the food. Alligator tenders w/ tartar sauce were good, but looked like a serving of popcorn chicken for $6.99. The alligator burger was a bun with deep fried alligator nuggets, less than impressive. The chicken tenders with white gravy were the saving grace of the lunch, with actual planks of chicken. Service was average if a bit slow, the gentleman clearing tables, was friendly chit chatting with everyone. I'm a fan of Cajun food, but doubt Frog City will be on anymore stops in the future.

This place was so bad I could not eat most of the seafood platter. The salad bar had brown, limp lettuce everything looked old. The gator was so bad I had to excuse me but spit it out of my mouth. The baked potato was undercooked.Please try else where. Fast food is better than this place. Won't be going back.

So it's a truck stop! they make a pretty good shimp poor boy's at this place and the service is friendly and I picked up a good cook book there to,it was cajun cooking, full of storys of the old days it was a good read and funny. I don't know if it is stell there and I can remember the name of the place,if you ask a local I am sure they can tell you.. if you have the time you can drop your trailor there at the truck stop & bob tail , go north back under the enter state on the little road you got off on and the is a little hole in the wall place not to far up that road it was real cajun food and I mean the good stuff too, we had a good time and eat good friendly place. I hope its stell there I would like to go back some day..

This place was so bad I created an account just so I could review it. This place is the worst excuse for cajun food, period. First, it took our waitress 15 min just to take our order. There were 3 people in the whole restaurant and they already had food. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my fiance ordered the shrimp poboy. Neither of these things were authentic or fresh. I had mashed potatoes that were obviously boxed and package gravy, veggies that tasted nuked, and the steak itself definitely left you wondering what meat was in it. Same for the fried shrimp and frozen French fries. No seasoning on anything. In the mean time our waitress was dicking around in the back with the rest of the wait staff, all of who were being loud and obnoxious. She only checked on us once more to refill our long standing empty drinks . We then proceeded to wait 25 minutes to get our ticket, which we didn't. We finally walked up to the cash register where we waited another 10 before someone finally came and checked us out. $30 for something I would expect from McDonalds.i wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Go to sonic instead, it's right across the street..
