One of my most favorite local places to eat or have a drink! I love the wookie with their ranch dressing on the side it is quite possibly my most favorite guilty pleasure for a meal! The owner Howard is friendly and helpful and you can generally find him at the bar or wandering around chatting with patrons. The variety of draft beer is literally one of a kind in the area.

This place is tacky. Really slow service. The options on the menu are abysmal, and the quality of the food is suspect. They clearly couldn't decide on a theme for the restaurant so they chose EVERYTHING. There's junk on All the walls and it makes you feel like the walls are closing in. If you like feeling like you're eating in a dark dusty storage building this is your place. We ate here because every where else was closed.

Love this place. I stop in here at least 3-4 times a year on my way through. I always have the Bloody Mary and usually try a new food every time. Service is always superb, friendly crowd, fantastic atmosphere.

I am really surprised that this friendly pub has such a low overall rating. I am going to give 5 stars. Only been twice, but reviewing as a traveler, I feel I can refer fellow travelers. The pub is exactly what it should be. Great location, laid back and friendly, good pub food.... Cold beer on tap. Some local beers the bartender gave tastings of, and when the barrel tapped out, she gave that half glass free, and started over. Free WiFi, which can come in handy for travelers, not just the local university students. We wanted to cross the street and take some photos while our pizza was in the oven. I asked my sweet waitress if she would be more comfortable if I paid first. Her response was " You're fine...this is Louisiana". And to make it even more perfect, as we were walking back, she stuck her head out the front door and called "Ya'lls foods ready!" Southern charm and hospitality at its finest! I wholeheartedly recommend stopping in....and sitting for a while.

We had a great time at this pub! We love to sit at the bar so we can meet people and this turned out to be better than average! Everyone was so friendly. The couple that owned a kitchen shop a couple of doors away offered us a discount. Two Vietnam vets and a local school coach rounded out the group. Just what we were looking for--friendly locals. The bartenders were great, the gumbo was good but could have had a little more sausage for my taste and the fried pies were tasty. The food was good; not exceptional, but if you like a bar experience right down to some skeletons and strange stuff hanging on the walls, you'll enjoy picking this place for a good time.

The food is generally good, however, I've been sitting here for an hour waiting on an appetizer. The person I'm eating with was brought his gumbo which is a meal and it is siting here getting cold. The food is good but if there is more than 5 people in the restaurant apparently they cannot handle it.

Food was ok ... Just your average pub meal. The meat pie was tasty!!! I had the chicken salad on marble rye. The bread was plain rye bread. My husband had the gator bite po boy. He enjoyed it.

Excellent service, can get crowded so get early bar real estate...bar menu was extremely good (catfish to die for), and a very eclectic brew selection.

Maybe a little higher than three stars but nothing special. We had the Cesar salad which was itty bitty for the $8.95 price. The gumbo was more a sausage soup. While it was good, it didn't resemble gumbo made with a roux We also had the meat pie which was flavorful if you like that kinda thing Nothing much was open on a Monday night so we were stuck. We came here after touring the Oakland Plantation

Very good Cajun Pub food for the price. Can get crowded quickly. Staff was very friendly and the bartenders were very good at remembering orders and being generous with the alcohol on a mixed beverage.

Monday night, medium crowd. Quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu and beer choices. Food: we were a party of 4, our food came out one plate at a time with significant time between. My friend was finished with his meal before the last one was served. We tried waiting for the others but hot gumbo doesn't wait. After that I looked around and that seemed to be happening to the other tables as well. This may be a fluke, we will definitely be back. I had the filet cooked med rare. It was excellent. One had gumbo, said it was good and well seasoned. Fried catfish was a generous amount and well cooked. 4th person had the fried shrimp, it was institutional, small and disappointing. Salads were small but fresh. We will definitely be back to try other dishes (all but the fried shrimp) and look forward to adding another restaurant to our list of regulars.

Service was the absolute worst. After 40 minutes I asked where the appetizers were? No answer other than I'll check. No good answers. Finally arrived and my wife liked hers. Mine were mediocre. Attitude of the staff was like the USPS --- nobody cares. 2stars because my wife liked the Casadilla. I'll never go back.

Spent a lot of time here over the weekend for a class reunion. Friendly service, but slow. They had a hard time keeping up when we swamped them 2 nights in a row. Food is decent. Staff and local patrons were friendly. Got crowded fast, though, so was hard to find a place that was out of the way. We spent a lot of time standing on the sidewalk out front, then waiting to get drinks at the bar. On a more average night, though, would be worth giving it a shot.

I've been to plenty of small town pubs and this happens to be the one and only we found during our short stop through Natchitoches, LA. Being that it was one of the only places open late on a Sunday afternoon, we stopped in for a bit. Having just come from New Orleans we were immediately relieved at the prices here... very affordable menu and drinks! I had the "half" quesadilla with shrimp which ended up being the size of half a pizza! The wait staff was extremely pleasant and quick. I would highly recommend this as a stop if you are taking a quick break through town.... it may be the only place open.

The place is pretty neat and a fun place to grab a beer. The servers are prompt and very friendly...the biggest complaint is the food - it wasn't that good.

Paid $16 for a pitcher of beer... absolutely 100% ridiculous for a place that has used the same paper menus for seemingly over a year... I even had to ask the bartender to wipe off the bar since there was food, etc from the person b4me. BOOOO! One positive was that the ladies behind the bar are pretty nice folks.

Unique bar and restaurant at the end of the Front Street strip. If you like a corner bar then this is it. Definitely more laid back and less packed than the closer to Church Street bars and restaurants. Serves mostly finger type foods, burgers and sandwiches. Worth the extra walk. Not 5 stars because the food was kind of greasy.otherwise a great experience.
