OK....Riverside is an odd breed. More times than not the service sucks so bad I wanna get pissed. But I will keep coming back. Why? I few reasons, let me explain. Crawfish - I only visit when they have crawfish. Sure....I guess they have good burgers and all but who cares. I go for the crawfish tent. Live music - the local music scene struggles - any establishment that supports them....I support and so should you. Dance floor - I love to dance and I love watching drunk people (especially older folks) dance just as much. Word to the wise - get a bucket of beer with your crawfish on account of the bad service, you will want to save yourself from that disaster.

Best etouffee I've ever had. It was a crawfish etouffee. Rich, creamy, spicy, flavorful, and deep. No way I could make that. And the portion size was enormous. Under $10. It's a winner. My buddy had a fried seafood platter. It looked kinda underwhelming but he said it wad good. We had a couple oyster stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp that were a home run and a dozen boiled shrimp that were huge. The shrink were a perfect texture, well seasoned, and fresh. Probably be back.

Happy girl! Found this place after Hooters mad me spitting fire mad n we had to leave. Trial n error with Hooters...don't get me started. so we get to this place n I walked underneath a tent attached to side of business. it smelled like the ocean. I knew then...I was in the right place for my seafood craving. the waitresses had on rain boots. smart idea for anyone visiting if it's been raining. this was the real Louisiana crawfish bowl. n shrimp. they Were doing it right outside... for all to view. also a walk up window for people on the go..it was Sunday. n Sunday is karaoke night...the beer was cold n served in a bucket of whatever kind u wanted mixed n packed in ice so they didn't have to bother with ya much. there Were these large black containers on the tables...looked like What u would drain ur old oil out of ur car with. to my surprise here comes ice bags full of steaming hot whole crawfish with corn n potatoes. they dump the bags into these containers right in front of ya...n the smell reminded me of cloves. then the locals dig in...I order two dozen shrimp bowled. What a treat! the biggest n I'm pretty sure the best shrimp ive ever encountered. Richard got the fried soft shell crab...it rocked as Well. man..I highly recommend this place. throw ur hair up n don't wear ur Sunday best!!!!

The food was good, give it 4 stars for the slow services I have to wait 45 mins for 5 lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of shrimp, you should try mustang Sally sandwich it's the best.

Amazing. Live music, really great people, friendly to travelers, and the best crawfish one can hope for. Eating under a tent has never been better.

This place is great for what it is: a good crawfish joint. I was in Monroe on a business trip, and when asked what I wanted for dinner, I immediately wanted crawfish. I have grown up with my dad making crawfish the proper way, and I cannot seem to find any place that will satisfy. This is probably one of the few restaraunts that satisyfy my crawfish wants. We also had a couple appetizers: chili cheese fries and fried pickles. Both were mediocre, and I probably wouldn't order them again. But for crawfish, you know it!

Made the poor decision to try out Riverside Coney Island today. We ordered three pounds of crawfish and it was 22.99$ for the tiniest, grossest crawfish I've ever had plus extra for the bland & undercooked potatoes and corn. I tried to be optimistic, as it is my birthday, but there was truly nothing good to be said about the experience. When we tried to peel the crawfish (that was served lukewarm) every third one just sort of fell apart. I gave up on eating them altogether when I got ahold of one that tasted truly rancid. Anyone who knows me, knows it must've been bad for me to leave 20$ worth of food on the table. The restaurant was very, very dirty, the service was disorganized and slow, but the most insulting part of the whole experience was that they were serving crawfish at all.

We had a party of 6 and went to have crawfish. 2 people ordered burgers from the menu. At the bottom of mine and my husband 5lbs of crawfish we found a huge roach that had been boiled with the crawfish. I showed the waitress and she said "You are lucky that is all you found." She sent me in to see the manger. I tried to show the manager very quietly and she informed me if happens all the time and that I was making a big deal out of nothing. I am not used to eating roaches in my food so to me it is a big deal. She said that out of the 700 lbs they had severed if only one bug had been found that was good. She also said that they had likely not been sorted well before the workers boiled them, but again said it happens all the time. She did not charge us for the one plate of crawfish that had the roach. But we still where made to pay for our drinks and she made the other four people with us pay for their food and drink. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. BUT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
