I would say this place is a little more mediterranean than American, but I guess I can see why it's classified under American. This place is perfect for a healthy, but delicious and filling lunch. Food is always fresh. I could probably eat everything on the menu, but I always get the soup and half salad mix. For those of you that are aquainted with Panera Bread, it's a little more mediterranean, but the same concept. Lots of salads, fresh soups, hummus plates...they also have kabobs. I haven't tried them, but they look yummy. the pitas are delicious. So good. Really fast and good service, something this town misses out on. Located in Metairie.

This is an amazing place for a quick, healthy meal. I absolutely love the chicken salad, greek salad, and hummus. The service has always been pleasant experience. I eat here at least 2-3 times/month and have never been disappointed. People have told me that the kabobs are delicious, but I haven't tried them yet. I consider Zoes Kitchen a healthy fast food place. We really needed this addition in Old Metairie!

Perfect little eatery! Delicious and fresh Greek food without a lot of fuss. So glad I found this place. Didn't really think I was much of a Greek food fan but I was so wrong (and idiotic for thinking that!). Hell, I love olives, feta cheese, lamb, skewers etc.! Anyways, I can't wait to get back for the Greek salad. It's a wonderfully filling portion and so delicious without feeling heavy. Can't wait to make my way over there again!

This is my 2nd time here in the last 2 days I first went to Zoe's Kitchen in Baton Rouge. That was really tasty and this one as well. The BR ZK had 4.5 stars and this one only had 3.5. Not sure why but this is really great, fresh, healthy, and very affordable food. Coming again soon.

I really like the food at Zoe's kitchen, and have frequented this place regularly - but I had an unpleasant experience today that will probably prevent me from returning. I meant to buy one of the prepackaged sides, but I must've miscommunicated that to the cashier, because she told me that my order would be brought out from the kitchen. Okay, so how long could it possibly take in an almost empty restaurant to procure a cold side dish? Answer: about ten minutes. For eight of those ten minutes, I could see my order sitting on the counter while four employees stood by. But the part of my visit that will prevent me from returning was the treatment by the front of the house staff of the back of the house. They joked about how the mostly Hispanic kitchen staff couldn't understand English- all within earshot of customers. Any business that allows their employees to treat each other like this is one that I don't want to patronize.

Finally a healthy fast food option!! I'm a fan of Zoes. If they had one close to me, I'd eat there regularly. The hummus and salad plate is the best option. You get a huge salad and hummus. I add chicken kabobs and its plenty for 2. Prices are good considering the amount of food you get. Service is really fast for how fresh everything is. I only wish they had a few more of my Mediterranean favorites and less non-Mediterranean options. I really don't want a egg salad sandwich when I'm looking for Mediterranean food but obviously they are trying to please more people.

Vegetarian options? Yes. Low-Carb options? Yes. Gluten-Free options? Yes. With wraps, salads, delicious sides, balanced entrees, Zoe's Kitchen always has something for me to eat no matter what my appetite wants. They serve you fast after ordering at the counter in the back right corner. (The first time we came in it was hard to figure out how to get things started, go to the back right corner. They will give you a number and deliver the food to your table.) Light dining, under $10, quick lunch, healthful options, YUM!! My kind of place.

Ordered on line at 8:30 PM. Took my CC info and my order. Food was promised to be ready @ 8:55pm. I drove to the location arriving at 8:50. Store was closed and employees, while professional and nice, did not have my food. I was told they closed at 8 PM and the on-line ordering has a flaw that allows you to order food after they are closed. It was a wasted trip because their website is flawed. Thank you for wasting my time.

Walked in and was amazed at how bad the place looks and the filth made me sick to my stomach.I couldn't believe it.The food wasn't much better. I will never ever go back!

Not sure what it is about the place, but it really doesn't strike my fancy. Portions are generous, food is tasty, prices are reasonable, but over all, it still gets a "Meh." from me.

If you order to go, make sure they male everything correctly before you go...so eat there. Got food poisoning last time I ate there. Disappointed.

I stopped by on my way home from work to grab a lite meal. The steak kabob was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and medium rare. I tried the coleslaw ad pasta salad sides and they were tasty as well. I would come back for another meal here to try a sandwich or salad at lunch. The restaurant was a little hard to find because there was not an illuminated sign outside and it resides in a strip mall with numerous other stores.

So, after my last review of this place, I was kindly contacted by a representative that was concerned about my experience. They offered me another chance to try the place out again and so my sons and I went back to the same location last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and efficient the place was. The floors were clean, the tables were clean and being closely monitored and even though the place was packed, everyone was very friendly and on the ball. I would definitely go back here and, because I was contacted about my less than favorable review, it makes me feel a lot better to know that these people are interested in putting out a quality product. Thank you

Love Zoe's! Consistently good no matter which one you visit. It is a favorite stop for my tennis team as we visit different areas of the state. My hubby loves it too, though. Great hummus, kabobs, and chicken salad. Also love their teas and their chocolate cake is out of this world! Nice, healthy alternative to fast food (if you skip the cake).

Love this place! I live only 5 minutes away and love the fact that there's a fast, healthy option for when I'm too tired to cook dinner. I always get the Shrimp Kabob, it's delicious. My husband always gets the Steak Stack and he loves it. And I finally got my 2 year old to try their kids chicken quesadilla and he's gobbling it up. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Love love love! Great food, great staff. The manager, Lauren, is very sweet. They always take precautions with my food (gluten free). One of my husband and I's favorite little places to eat. Protein power plate and the kabobs are my favorite. My husband loves their steak roll ups and hibiscus green tea. Their slaw is very light (no mayo), flavorful, and delicious. So yummy! Always clean and convenient. We're here atleast three times a month for a day date. We'll be back!

I tried this place 3 or 4 times. The food was always delicious but the restaurant is so dirty. Everytime I visit I'm amazed at how filthy the place is. I came back 2 days later and the same trash was on the floor in the same place. It doesn't take much to wipe down tables and sweep and mop the floor. After my last visit I was sooo disgusted I decided to never return. If they are that filthy with their front of house can you imagine the back of the house? Js. I gave them 2 stars because I enjoyed my food but I feel I'm being generous because I lost my appetite after seeing the same filth again and again. Update: 4/29/14 Love the chicken salad and cole slaw. My daughter's fav is the greek chicken pita. The greek dressing is the best. Trying the cookies for the first time but I'm sure they will be wonderful. Much improvement over my last visits. Looks very clean and smells clean as well. Great food! Great place!

I love that they only have healthy options and they manage to make it taste good. I like the hummus salad lunch plate. Its more food than you think. I was starving and I couldnt finish it all. If you are not watching your calories, ask for an additional cucumber raiki because thats what you use for salad dressing. they also offer hibiscus tea:) Try out their app and/or sign up for their email club and receive a free side item.

I love this place. I love coming here for lunch and getting a large fresh salad and homemade soup. Honestly I love everything on their menu. You can tell that everyone's made in house and there's good quality ingredients in everything they serve. It always looks as pretty as the pictures of all the dishes everywhere. The portions are big and enough for everyone to get a taste of everyone else's plates. I love their chicken salad and think it's one of the best in the city. I like getting a pint of it and making chicken salad sandwiches at home. I know it's a start of a great meal if I'm munching on their creamy chicken salad. Their homemade Greek dressing is addictive and I have to stop myself every time from drinking that stuff. I want it all over the hummus and homemade pita. Every time I have to convince myself that all that stuff already has lots of flavors. So I make due with the half-gallon I poured over everything and enjoy watching the people come in and out of the restaurant. I love checking out all the different dishes they're eating and the snippets of conversations I hear. Most are centered around the awesome meal they're enjoying. My table is usually doing the same.

The Zoes franchise is a good place for a casual quick meal. They have decent food here but even better service. The staff are courteous and really nice. The menu has no fried foods and sticks to healthier cooking alternatives. Their "Pick Two" is a fave....get 1/2 sandwich and a soup/dessert/side greek salad for $5.99. The Gruben Sandwich is stellar (turkey, swiss, slaw, mustard). Their chicken soup with orzo is pretty darn good. Generally healthy food. Some menu items are not that tasty (grilled chicken dinner, pasta salad). They serve bagged chips a little too much (who wants a bag of chips when eating out?). Zoes also loves feta cheese and use it abundantly. Hope you like feta!

Steak kabobs were seasoned lije nothing I have tasted before. Food that makes me smile while eating it is an accomplishment !

We quite often get takeout lunch from Zoes as the food is always prepared fresh. I love the Braised Bean side dish. I also love the Tomato Bisque which comes with small pieces of mozzarella cheese which melt within it and the cheese/tomato taste is delicious. (You can ask for no cheese if you prefer!) The Gruben Sandwich is also a great choice. I just tried the Chicken & Orzo soup and it has a decent amount of chicken and vegetable chunks in it.

Love, love, love this place!! They have the best chicken salad and hummus! I've never had a bad meal here. And the staff is super friendly!!!

I love this place! This was my first visit and I can't wait to return. I had the hummus and salad plate and a bite or two of the turkey sandwich. Healthy meets delicious. Sweet. :)

Yum. Zoe's serves simple, good, generally healthy food for decent prices. And there is feta in almost everything (yay feta!). I love the chicken pita, and both the pasta salad and potato salad (no mayo!) are good. Definitely a good spot for lunch and quick inexpensive dinners. Also, it seems to be very family friendly--I don't have munchkins, but there are always families here when I go and none of the kids are crying (haha). As of this post, they are still offering 10% discounts for people who check-in on Yelp or Facebook so take advantage while you can!

Heard a lot of great reviews so I decided to check it out myself. Ordered the chicken roll-up with a side of pasta salad. Look very appetizing until i noticed a piece of hair in my pasta and a white bug crawling around in my to-go box. Makes me wonder how often they clean their kitchen.

So the other day my stomach was a little unsettled & I wanted chicken soup - & not just broth but chicken soup ... stepped into Zoe's Kitchen for the first time & the menu looked pretty darn good & low & behold they had CHICKEN SOUP (w/ orzo) !! so I got a small bowl of that & some humus. As I was getting my tea & just figuring out where I was going to sit & just in general looking around, the waitress brought me my food ... saw I didn't have my utensils & brought those to me - how sweet was that?? SWEET!! Ate up my soup, scarfed down my hummus & I wasn't sure if you were supposed to bus your own table & was looking around & saw a staff member & asked him - "oh no I got that!!" (another staff member sooo sweet!!) The chicken soup was perfect - seasoned well !! tasty, it was perfect!! It hit the spot!! The hummus was good (but I have to say Mona's is still my favorite) The next week I went back w/ my honey & I got a grilled Chicken & slaw in a whole wheat pita w/ fresh fruit!!! VERY GOOD!! the slaw wasn't a mayonaisy (what? you KNOW what I mean!) icky slaw - it was TASTY!! & fruit - ... fruity! fresh! My honey got the grilled vege stack & dug that! Good stuff!! friendly staff!! I'll be back!! :-)

went here for lunch today. wish i could give 4 stars, but i am still a bit perturbed about the feta (?) cheese on the cole slaw. HUH? i had the chicken kabob, which was GREAT! could have used a bit more rice pilaf, but the flavors were yum. friends had the Gruben, said it was fantastic, and my other friend - idk what she had. all in all, it was good. took forever to get rung up though, even though we'd called in our order. and we intentionally waited until later, to miss the lunch hour rush. um... i would go back to give it another try. very reasonably priced too. i may just give them 4 stars after all.

Food here is always fresh and not so heavy on my stomach. I usually go for the limeade and some sort of sandwich or salad. Food usually comes out real quick and I have yet to meet an unfriendly person that works here. They are bringing one to the Elmwood shopping center.

  • Megan K.

Yeah, so I'm not going back here anymore. The employees don't seem to know what they're doing and it doesn't seem to matter what I order, it takes 20 more minutes to come out than the other people's I came with. Feels and tastes very chain-y. Very basic Greek-style dishes. On the plus side, there's parking! Yay.

  • Catie K.

Zoe's is a great lunch spot. I would describe it as a Greek-themed Panera Bread (with alcohol!). They have a great "pick two" option where you can pick a half sandwich and a salad or soup. I recommend the Gruben. Although it is not the healthiest thing on the menu, it is freaking delicious. The Greek salad with grilled chicken is also really good. Tip: check-in on Yelp for 10% off

I love the Tossed Greek Salad. One of my favorite dishes. I come here at least once every two weeks. My husband gets the chicken kabobs and often has to ask them to cool the chicken more bc it's pink in the middle but food is still good

  • Todd S.

Pleasant place - fast food-ish but much more healthy. Mediterranean style food, very tasty, but not so fancy. The fresh squeezed limeade is a highlight. I had the hummus and salad and I enjoyed it - nice sized portion for the price. Son had the chicken kebabs - they were good but not great. Daughter had the chicken orzo soup which she described as being like chicken noodle and ok.

I love the food! I love the atmosphere and I love how it's a mix of healthy, hot and cold dishes! I go here for lunch on my school days a lot and it's easy to find a table in the corner eat and catch up on some homework between classes. I only gave it four stars because its very high priced. For me to eat alone it a good $12 for just a turkey sandwich and a drink. I think that's a bit high. But over all I love this place.

Last time I visited I had the Gruben sandwich. This time I decided to try the popular and somewhat signature dish, the Tossed Greek. The Tossed Greek is an interesting salad of lettuce, pasta, grilled onions, chopped roasted chicken, peppers, and Zoe's Greek dressing. Served with some pita, it's quite a tasty meal. I actually liked it better than the Gruben. However, this is a pretty hefty salad. It's not only a good sized portion but it's got some serious weight in the components. This is a good thing. Too often a salad is just lettuce filler that leaves you hungry an hour later. Not the Tossed Greek. It was filling and kept me satisfied the rest of the evening. I'll probably be getting it any time I go to Zoe's Kitchen. I'd rate Zoe's Kitchen a little higher except for two things. First, the teens behind the counter were a little bumbling. I don't know if one of them was a new hire but he didn't know how to prepare the limeade I ordered. I was surprised by that considering the preparation consisted of filling the cup from the large container prominently displayed on the counter. Second a half dozen high school kids came in, ordered one or two items, and proceeded to take up large table and talk and laugh incredibly loudly. Other patrons kept turning their heads to see what the outbursts were about and giving the group some foul looks but the staff didn't even bat and eye if they noticed. I was expecting some better performance from the staff, especially at a place that is classier than a Subway. EDIT: Feb 2012 On my last visit things looked up a bit. I'll start with the food. I wasn't really hungry so I got the Pick Two with a half of a pimento cheese sandwich and a side of pasta salad. I'm happy to say they were both delicious and perfectly sized portions to curb my hunger. The pimento cheese is a classic and toasted just right. I just wish it wasn't as greasy since I've been trying to eat healthier, but it's cheese, so what do you expect? I'd be more concerned if it wasn't at least a little greasy. Service was better this time around. There was no gaggle of teens making fools of themselves and the staff behind the counter was polite, competent, and eager to help. Good job, Zoe's Kitchen. I'll keep visiting and if this is the standard level of service I'll be happy to bump up my rating after a few visits.

My hubby and I were getting our hair cut across the street and wanted to grab a quick dinner beforehand. Zoe's Kitchen fit the bill. I think of this place as similar to Le Madeline but the Mediterranean version. He got the Gruben sandwich and I got the spinach and chicken wrap. Both were good and well seasoned. I liked the variety in the side of fruit that came with my wrap. The limeade was yummy too, not overly sweet. I also really like the little tables outside because it was a lovely evening. We only had 30 minutes to order, eat and get over to the salon and we made it just in time.

Phoned in a to go order and arrived prompty on time. The order was not ready and the wait staff was slow and unattentive. The order was not complete and when I phoned to see if they would deliver the items that were not included - approximately $10 of missing items--I was told that I should have picked it up out of the cooler....FOR A TO GO ORDER... and that I could drive back and get the item and it could be credited IF I HAD my receipt!!! Food was also pretty bad!!
