Great. Always good!! Best poboys this side of Parkway and Mothers! Roast beef poboys are spot on. The dinner specials are likely used to make, well, maybe grandma...that good. Can't go wrong and priced right!

Best kept secret in Metairie! Absolutely the best paninis I've ever had! But my favorite has to be their Muffuletta panini, the best of the best! Their Po-boys and pasta dishes are also very delicious. Definitely recommend this place check it out if you ever have a chance.

Had the oyster and shrimp po boy Good and tasted fresh. Big portions of oysters and shrimp. Cooked welled and not over done. Minus a star only bc it had too much mayo and overpowered the taste. Next time will have to ask for light mayo. Cute small mom & pop atmosphere. Free water Small parking in the front but we had no problem.

Their paninis are the real deal. They are pressed and toasted perfectly, and are oversized. The food is always fresh and hot. I only wish they used Leidenheimer French bread. Recommend going during off peak times, since seating is very limited. I wish they stayed open later. Even if it was just on Fridays. Also, the salads in the display case don't look very appetizing; although I did try the pasta salad, which was good. Their fries are plain shoestrings, but were hot and fresh. World Deli is definitely now part of my regular rotation of restaurants. Pros: 1. Nice selection of pre-cooked frozen foods. 2. Friendly service. 3. Service is fast and food is fresh. Cons: 1. Very limited, tight parking. You also have to back out when exiting. 2. Very limited seating. 3. They close at 7pm during the week and 4pm on Saturdays. They are also closed on Sundays. 4. Somewhat pricey. Especially if you add on a side item and a drink. $12+ for a po-boy, fries, and a drink.

World Deli is THE poboy spot in Metairie! I've never had a roast beef poboy until I came here, and it immediately became a favorite of mine. They have many items to choose from so everyone can find something they like here. Friendly staff, great service, and last, but certainly not least, amazing food!! You won't go wrong by choosing World Deli!

World deli makes very good sandwiches. My usual is a toasted turkey and cheddar poboy. While they will roll your eyes at you if you ask simple questions such as "what type of salad dressings do you have?," they have made consistently good food at a decent price. Recently, the girl who works the register has been friendly; however, not all of the people who work the counter are even pleasant. I can not tell you the amount of times my simple questions have resulted in a look of disgust or an eye roll. They want you to order quickly and get the hell out of their way. They have also gotten my regular Po-boy order WRONG several times. I don't ask for anything to be left off of it - EVER. A simple "toasted turkey and cheddar Po-boy dressed" is what I stick to here. No, I don't want it on a BUN. Po-boys come on FRENCH BREAD. I don't say that, of course. I am a much nicer person than that crotchety middle aged woman who thinks she is the queen of some trailer park. Their frozen items are pretty good, just be prepared for a large quantity of cheese without a lot of meat. I also like their soups. I have never ordered anything from their "refrigerated glass counter" because that stuff looks like it's been there for weeks. The three stars are solely given because the food is decent and the venue is always clean. Not ALL of their employees are unpleasant, just a few of them. I would only give two stars, but this has been a local establishment in my community for many years now. I couldn't do that to them because of a few nasty employees and some sub-par prepped foods.

Came in and ordered the Roast beef Po-boy and Muffuletta. The atmosphere was pretty nice. They have a menu in the back with different selections, however it was hard to make a decision since there were no where for options or sizes. I had to ask a lot of questions and the girl wasn't too patient. Talk about customer service, but what can you expect when it's a high school girl working her summer job. Both sandwiches were delicious, roast beef was stacked high with gravy and the muffuletta was toasted and stuffed with olive salad. If it wasn't for the rude service I would of gave this place a 5.

We went on a recommendation and am glad we did. Fast and very friendly service. You order at the counterfrom their posted menu or from the list of daily specials. I almost got the pork roast and gravy lunch special but decided on a meatball poor boy. Wife got the lasagna lunch special. Meatballs were good. I had mine fixed with provoloneand romano cheeses with onions and gravy. So, sooo good. the bread was perfect. Glad we found this place. We will be back!

Small, old, Italian store. Not quite a market, not quite a restaurant. Carpeted floors (which is gross), a small glass counter with various deli salads and premade dinner dishes. None of the salads looked particularly great. Pretty standard po-boy menu for a New Orleans sandwich shop. The one thing that was different was a couple paninis on the special sign on the counter. Tomato Pesto or Chicken Pesto. I got the tomato pesto. It was good, large, and full of cheese and pesto but not worth the $9 I paid for it. The chicken pesto was the exact same price, and it had CHICKEN! Probably because its a popular menu item, they keep the price high.

Real Deal Deli! I've worked across the street for 6 months and finally ventured over to World Deli today. The lady behind the counter was very patient with my questions, even walked out and showed me where to find the different refrigerated items. Had an italian salad and Potato soup, BOTH DELICIOUS!!! Don't get hung up on the menus online, they have a ton of stuff inside and specials of the day. I will def. be going back. Friendly staff, great food, yummy!

Whenever I am in the mood for a great seafood poboy this is where I come. The catfish is always piping hot and fresh. While I have had the roast beef and muffuletta and they are delicious I can't help but order the catfish almost everytime I come. The old school atmosphere of the place reminds me of the poboys shops the city lost after Katrina and I am glad that there are places like this keeping the flame alive.

The staff here isn't always very nice. As long as you know what you want and are willing to get in and out quickly, you will be fine. The food is a consistent quality.

Quaint deli on the side of the road with lots of traditional Italian menu items to choose from. They also have 3 tall coolers full of prepared foods to go, like soups, all manner of pasta dishes and pizzas. Lots of varieties of bottled beer round out the coolers. They also have a well-stocked deli cabinet (meats, cheeses, salads, pizzas), a small dining area (approx 10 tables) & video poker. Lining the main wall are shelves stocked with jarred olives, olive oils, minced garlic, boxed pastas, jams, cocktail mixes, condiments, candies, and various sodas and sparkling waters. They have a fountain machine, which serves coke products (yaaay) - but no juices for us purists, so S. Pelligrino, here I come! Everything is fresh and made to order. I thoroughly enjoyed their tomato pesto panini! The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with creamy mozzarella, tangy tomatoes, pine nuts and fresh pesto. What a perfect sandwich! Though I ordered it to go, I decided to enjoy it in their family-style dining area. Good call! Parking right out front (diagonal spaces for about 10 cars) is best since it's on Clearview Pkwy. I'll be back to visit next time I'm deep in Metry!

Really great shrimp and roast beef po-boys. The bread was great, the shrimp was perfectly fried, and the roast beef was tender with lots of gravy. There prepared dishes, look great, but seem a little pricey
