I will go on the record and state that there are very few chain restaurants that I really love. Perhaps that's why they are a chain. Perhaps not, but I digress. My 1st visit to Carabba's was mid August 2015. Since we had our little one with us, we decided to go early and beat the crowd and found the restaurant nearly empty at 5:30 PM on a weekday. I was immediately pleased with how clean the restaurant was and was equally impressed with the trendy décor. Our hostess seated us immediately and our less than enthusiastic server came shortly thereafter and took our drink order. Our drinks arrived shortly along with some hot bread and dipping sauce; and we placed our son's "kid's grilled chicken" dinner order and also ordered a Tomatoes Caprese appetizer while we looked over the menu at the entrees. The bread was perfectly baked and piping hot, and the dipping sauce was their own twist of olive oil with a bit of pesto in the middle. Very good. The appetizer was also good as the thick sliced mozzarella was the perfect texture, as nothing is more unsatisfying than some "rubbery" mozzarella. Not the case here. My little one's "kid's grilled chicken dinner" was the probably the best tasting chicken we've ever gotten as part of a kid's meal. It was grilled and seasoned perfectly and the fresh green beans were also a big hit. My wife's Taglierini with chicken (extra charge), asparagus, tomato and basil was a solid dish, and quite filling. Kudos for the shaved parmesan on top. Trying to eat light, I got the Johnny Rocco Salad, which featured grilled shrimp and scallops on a bed of greens; also with shaved parmesan on top. Also very good. Kudos to Carrabba's for offering a gluten free options as well as entrees and appetizers with 600 calories or less. And although we didn't sit at the bar since we had our little one, the bar is worth mentioning as it is very inviting and I could see myself eating here while I enjoyed a game on one of the big screen televisions. So with all the good things I have to say, you may be wondering why I didn't give them a 4-star rating. The reason I gave a 3-star rating (A-Ok), is because of my server. Although she was not impolite, she was far from friendly. She went through all the motions but could have been a little more attentive, especially since she only had 1 other table. And to me, it looked as if her other table was getting pretty good / courteous service from her. Perhaps she was having a bad day, a bad vibe, or didn't like kids. I just know that if she had been really friendly, I may have delved out my 1st 4-star rating to a chain restaurant. There is no need to mention her by name, but I hope that management sees this and emphasizes that a positive attitude goes a long way in the service industry. However, the food was pretty decent and I can see myself going back here; just not with the same server.

So, the most I can really say about Carrabba's is that I can check them off my list. I went on Lundi Gras night. We waited for well over 30 minutes for a table after being told it was a 10-15 minute wait. Which, wouldn't be such a big deal if there hadn't been at least six empty tables in the dining room when we did finally get seated. Our server was very friendly, kept our drinks full, and was quick with the check. She was pretty much the only redeeming part of the meal. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees, which both came with salads. Our appetizer was slow coming out and our salads appeared just a few minutes later. Then, we waited a good while for the entrees to come out. When they finally arrived, they were both lukewarm to flat out cold. I had the lobster mac and cheese and was hugely let down by it. The sauce was very loose, almost soupy. I will say that it did have a lot of lobster in it. But, did I mention that it was cold? Like I said, I can check this one off the list. I very seriously doubt I will be going back.

I happened wander in the restaurant on the day of the grand opening. Somehow I didn't know it was grand opening day and I normally try to stay away from brand new restaurants, but as they say... the rest is history. I went around 5PM and it was already busy, so I sat at the bar. I'm really glad I did because there is a happy hour at the bar from 3-7PM with drink specials and half price appetizers. I ordered a Pomegranate Martini and a shrimp appetizer, both were excellent. I will happily order these items again. For the entrée I ordered a Chicken Bryan Pizza which is wood-grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, fresh basil, drizzled with a lemon butter sauce. The pizza was thin, crispy, fresh, and perfect. Here is my hope for this restaurant. I hope the level of service does not diminish once the training days have passed. Yesterday they were over staffed because of it being opening day, and they have experienced workers in from other restaurants around the state training the new workers. It was really nice to see the training in action, and I received excellent service. I'll definitely be going back to try some of the other drink and menu options.

We were very happy with this place. The service was good, she stayed on top of drink refills and checked on us regularly. The fettuccine weesie was outstanding, the sauce was among the best I've ever had and the Shrimp were huge. My wife had the chicken Parmesan sandwich which she also enjoyed.

There are still so many kinks to be worked out. This was our second visit and it was worse than our first. After waiting an hour for our food, it arrived ICE cold. The waitress and manager were very nice and understanding. The comped out food and explained their problems. It wasn't the perfect date night I imagined, but we will give them another chance.....in a few months.

Have been going since they opened. Food very good. Blackberry sangria is yummy. Chicken Marsala my favorite dish. Happy hour drink specials and $5 appetizers good way to sample in the bar and on the covered patio.

We have visited this Italian chain of Outback in several cities and states and have been impressed. We looked forward to the day it would come to Metairie/New Orleans. However, this particular restaurant cannot get it right. It is consistently inconsistent. We have been there 5 times since it opened a few weeks ago hoping it was just opening pains. Pasta with sauce is served so dry that you wonder if the kitchen knows that Italian food is dependent upon its classic sauces. Soups are served cold and pasta stuffed, with cold pasta at that. Chicken is dry, as are the overdone meats and fish...over cooked. It seems as though management, if there is any, doesn't get that quality makes a restaurant a success. The other day I observed management worry more about someone complaining that a cheap wine wasn't right than our spending 45 minutes waiting on our entre which came out cold. Bravo down the street is far superior and Vincent's is real Italian. This restaurant is fast food at its worst and lies on its laurels as one of Outback's. Better get serious knowledgeable management or this place is down the tubes in a food city like New Orleans that actually knows about food.

as a newly opened place I understand it may be appropriate to cut the waitstaff some slack but I had to admit it was amusing to watch people every few minutes wander into my area with a tray of food or dessert with a lost look in their eyes trying to determine to whom they belong. That might have explained the disappearance of the salad that was supposed to accompany my entree that never appeared. That being said, and despite having to go on a safari in search of silverware.. We eventually got our food which was profoundly un inspiring. The fried zucchini was overcooked and greasy. the food was generally underseasoned and bland. Their so called signature chicken marsala lacked any reminders of the wine after which it was named. forgiving the horrid service, I still cant find a reason id want to return. The high prices, modest to small portions and total lack of culinary creativity make this place a waste of time and unless you are starving

I just had the best experience possible at Carrabba's! My family was seated right away by a ferry friendly hostess. My 2 year old, however, wanted a booth and not a table. It's easier to control two kids with a booth anyway, and we were given a large booth. Our server, Angel, was phenomenal! Attentive and patient. He asked if we wanted the kids meals brought out asap(yes!), and paced our appetizer, salads, and entree great, asking if we wanted him to hold our salads while we finished the appetizer. There was a slight hiccup with something, and the manager was awesome. If we weren't visiting from out of town, we'd be back. Normally, on vacation, we avoid chain restaurants like the plague, but our son had been asking for ravioli for days, and this was the only open place we could find with kids ravioli. What a lucky accident, it caused us to have our best dining experience in the area in years, and we visit the New Orleans area regularly.

Food was not bad at all ...Salad was very fresh and their house dressing(italian ?) was great. SERVICE was the POOREST that is why I am giving this restaurant only ONE STAR. 3 of us were there on 4/09 from 2pm to 3pm. The waitress left a bill on our table while we were eating ENTREE. The bill holder was left standing up like a sore thumb on our table. We told the waitress we want to order dessert, so she took the bill back and brought it back again. By this time, there were nobody in the dining room(3pm). Then, the waitress started to take AWAY our dessert...I TOLD HER we were not finished yet. I have been dining out in 5 star restaurants to 1 star diner in my all adult life all over the world.....I have never experienced SUCH AN IMPOLITE SERVICE !!!!! I told my host to not to tip more than 15 % !!! TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE !!!!!!!

Ok. Went back tonight for take out. First the good: the sausage and lentil soup was delicious and the curb side waitress was adorable. That's it The bad: pollo las calla -the chicken was barely cooked through. The sauce was tasteless. They were out of mashed potatoes, so I got the side with a name I can't pronounce. It sounds something like Americano. Anyway, it was corkscrew pasta with a spoonful of tomato chunks stirred in. Totally dry and bland. My son ordered the Pasta Weezie. I just asked him how it was and he said he couldn't eat it because there was such a small amount of sauce it was like eating plain noodles. We now have two containers of plain noodles sitting on our counter. So all in all, $40 for chicken and plain noodles. Oh and the bread was hard..so hard it was I edible. Is anyone from this restaurant even reading these comments???????

Be careful with the drinks... Sangria is more like koolaid and the wine was going bad.

Make no mistake about this "chain". The Carabaas Family knows how to prepare traditional Italian dishes with a flair of excellence. You can always make this place a fantastic place for an after work event, as well a great family sit down meal or business entertainment meetings. The one thing you will notice when you walk in, there is plenty of friendly and welcoming wait staff, which is probably the reason there wasn't any parking for diners. It's the ONLY reason I gave this location 3 stars. If I were to rate this place strictly on food, it would and always has rated a 4.5 stars!!

I have been going to Carrabba's for the past 8 years. My husband and I were thrilled they were finally opening a Carrabba's in Metairie. When we got there the wait wasn't too bad, and our Hostest that sat us was very friendly. Our waitress seemed like she didn't quite know what she was doing. We ordered our drinks and appetizer. I got my coffee and had to wait several minutes for her to come back with sugar, my husband in the meantime was still waiting for his beer. My husband ordered the Sirlion Marsala and I ordered the Chicken Marsala. We waited quite a while for our meals and when they came my Husbands steak and mashed potatoes were completely cold. We told our waitress and asked her for the Manager, she just smerked and said ok I'll go find one. We waited quite awhile for the Manager to come to the table, my Husband explained his meal was cold and had no plans of eating it or paying for it. The manager just kept telling my Husband let me go put it back on the grill and heat it up for you. Which was pointless, for one you do not reheat steak ever, any good Manager and Chef knows this, and I was almost done with my meal. When we didn't agree to let the Manager reheat the steak he said well I won't charge you for your meal and turned around to walk away, as he was walking past me he said jackass. I have never been to a restaurant with such an unprofessional manager as this one. I got up to confront him and tell him that he was being unprofessional calling my husband a jackass and he said you must be hearing things cause I didn't say that. At this point my blood was boiling and it was time to go. I went to the front to pay for the meal I had eatten and he came up to me and said I don't want your money just get out of here, and again as he was walking away stated you just can't please some customers. Well this statement is for you Benjamin. We are not hard to please, my husband and I eat out at least 4 to 5 nights a week and never spend under $60 everytime we go out for dinner, we tip our wait staff very well and this is the first time in my 35 years of eatting out that I have ever been so rudely treated. A simple "I'm sorry, we will not charge you for your meal sir is there anything else I can get you", would have worked. NEVER call a customer anything as your walking away, you never know who will hear it including the customer your speaking about or the cutomer that may be sitting at the next table, it gives a bad name to you and the restaurant. we will never come back there and will tell everyone we know about our treatment at this restaurant.

Have eaten at Carrabas in Lafayette and enjoyed it so decided to try it. Disappointed for what we paid. The pork chops in the pork chop marsala was not cooked all the way through. The cheese in the chicken parm was burnt. The server disappeared for most of our meal. Had to ask the guy who brought us our food to get our server so we could get refills and they were not that busy and had tons of staff on. There are too many local restaurants nearby that are ten times better then to give this chain restaurant our money

The food was extremely salty... Small portions, and the restaurant was out of mashed potatoes and Splenda. The pasta was dry and when we asked for more sauce it was extremely runny. The calamari was dry and over cooked... But the marinara was good. In all honesty though... The staff was extremely nice.

Very disappointing! We went to dinner early with our children to avoid the crowd and we won't be going back. First, they were out of kids menus, sprite, & straws. Did i mention the server was sloppy and not professional. When the food came out the chicken was raw in the middle on two of the four entrees ordered. The soup was ok and the cheese sticks were good, but the marinara was horrible and tasted bitter. I would hate to see how things are at a later dinner when they are busy.

Just opened about a week. While this chain has a good reputation, this recently opened location does not have their act together. I ordered Chianti, and was served Estancia. The wine was starting to go bad and I maybe they wanted to get rid of it. The appetizer was good, as was the side salad. Unfortunately, the service was so bad that after 1-3/4 hours the main dish was not ready and I left to go to another restaurant. My recommendation is that you wait a month or two and hopefully they will improve their service

It's a shame that this place is seriously lacking in some manager TLC. The wine and food selection is pretty good and the food is decent for a chain. However, the place stinks and it is filthy every time we go there. I'm thinking I really don't want to know how bad the kitchen is when the wait staff can't keep the tables clean (on a slow day). The bar is always sticky and crumby. There can be as many as six hostess chatting it up at the greeting station while the dirty, sticky tables get no love. Simple solution: Ditch a waiter and hire one table busser. The wait staff is mostly apathetic...like most poorly run businesses, they're all huddled together in the cell phone coma (head down, checking phones). Once you get their attention, they put their heads back down in the "I'll get to you when I get to you" stance. Too bad, really. It could be a great "go to" place to hang out after work, grab some decent eats, wine and brew, but I always cringe at the though that it may be dirtier than the last time. I'd love to talk this place up, but this owner/manager(s) needs to step up their game. #thereishope

The original lure... a picture of the Chicken Trio. After deciding to cook dinner myself but entertained the thought of getting something, once I saw the dish which looked lite, I was immediately sold. The looks of the place was clean and modern so I give it that. I ate at the bar which had a couple of tv's and seemed like a good atmosphere. Bentley was the Bartender who was cool as hell and definitely seemed like a perfect. I mixed drink menu seemed pretty small but there was a full bar so you can request you're usual. I chose 2 different sangria's in which the Summer Sangria seemed like the best option and can drink it for days. The chicken trio looked nice and the taste was a plus. The price was a bit high for the dish though, especially it being small portions but they were just the simple put sauce on it type chicken so I give them that credit also to mention, the salt on them was a bit high. Also to mention the fettuccine fell short of taste unfortunately, not a fan. Overall, the experience was cool but not great but it deserves a revisit.

We went again 7 months later and still had a good experience! The waitress was nice and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Only thing was that I ordered my side salad without croutons. I'm trying to find out if I am gluten intolerant. They left the croutons out of my bfs salad but still put them on mine. No big deal, I just picked them off and put them on his. If I actually had celiac diease though this would have been a big deal. For my entree I ordered the rosa maria chicken and it is delicious! I was trying my best not to lick the plate. I got the seasonal vegetable which was green beans. I don't even like green beans, but I liked these!

We went there tonight because we always eat at this restaurant every time we are in Destin,FL .. We really enjoy the great food. Tonight we went and was very disappointed in the Wait Staff (service was SUPER SLOW) Food of course was delicious!!! Took them over 1 hour for our food to come after I finally went to the HOSTESS to complain. Mind you I already asked the 2 server/wait staff that was handling our table... but never got an answer...The main guy never really did anything... Asked for refill on tea.. Never got it...we didn't get our soup until after 30 minutes. Finally after speaking to the wonderful hostess they called the manager and the wonderful manager name John Thomas... Rushed our meals n took care of us!! Awesome management!! I think after a few more weeks they will be better. I would definitely go back but maybe wait a few weeks for them to get settle into the swing of things. Had the lobster ravioli --awesome!! Lobster Mac n cheese and chicken Marsala was delicious too!!

This place is really in trouble went there Tuesday they were out of meatballs at lunch our chicken came out burned like a charcoal my spaghetti was wrong it took 45 minutes for our meal to arrive I sent my dish back and asked for it to be removed from my bill and asked the host to get my server and requested to see a manager the host then replied my manager said your bill has been taken care of thank you for coming in.The manager refused to come out and speak with us,the restaurant was almost empty when we went it was around 1:30 pm.It is obvious that the management was not in control of their restaurant or had a serious lack of experience! This is our second visit the first was at the opening and was the same but we decided to give them a second chance,we would never eat there again! What a shame!

Very small portion for the prices. The tastes are hit and miss among items. Nothing special. Their closest competitor, Olive Garden, beats this place hands down in terms of taste, value and variety. The tomato basil soup was good as was the steak flatbread appetizer but nothing to go out your way for. Side of pasta lacked flavor and was bland. Our waitresses asked if we wanted bread after 25 minutes of us being seated and after ordering an appetizer already.

Carrabbas is one of my all time favorites from growing up out of state, however, this location sorely missed the mark. Caesar salads were drenched in way too much dressing and the bread wasn't delivered until well after our meal was served. Bread tasted like it had been frozen, not at all its usual fresh. At the end of the meal, we requested go cups with iced tea (my wife didnt get one refill throughout the meal) and the waiter replied that that the shipment didnt come in. It seems as though there is a management issue With this location which hopefully can be remedied.

If there were a zero stars I would have selected it. The only redeeming factor to my to-go order just now was that I didn't have to drive back to have the manager refund my money so I guess that is worth one star. Drive 5 minutes to get there. Wait 20 minutes after the ready time to have them say they are "fresh out of bread" (which the manager later confirmed our suspicions of fallacy and said they are not ever out of bread and if so never for more than a couple of minutes bc it only takes 8 minutes to cook). Come home take out the food that cost nearly $40 to have a salad that looks like three pieces of lettuce, a shrimp diavolo, mozzarella marinara , and margherita pizza that are all completely cold. Not even a little warm, barely room temperature. I wish I would have taken a picture of this sad meal. The mozzarella sticks were burnt and cold, my traditionally tomato basil pizza had not even a speck of basil, and... cold soggy fried shrimp? Not eating there again. My husband was at least a little subdued after we didnt have to drive back and get a refund. He would rate it a D instead of an F since we didn't actually go in and maybe dine-in is better. Of course, he's not the one who had to re-cook dinner after wanting to have a relaxing evening at home on our one day off. No redemption from that. But again, the manager did comp our meal, so thanks. He also offered to make us something else, but three minutes drive or not, I surely didn't want to waste anymore time to be disappointed again. Good Luck Carrabbas! Veterans rent is quite expensive, but you have a chance since you're a chain and people will go in just to try it. And maybe, just maybe the dine is better. But I'm not going to chance it. Worst case scenario, they can use that location as a tax write off if they keep having to refund people's meals.

Wow! Appetizer took forever! Told the waitress to forget about it...she did bring it though and took it off the bill....then...dinner took even longer and was cold! Waitress was really friendly and apologized often. Literally took an hour and a half to get food. Won't be back

40 Minutes to complete an order to go. Food was still not ready when I arrived at the restaurant. Curb Side is a joke, every spot was taken and there were no people in the cars. Parked behind the restaurant, walked in and had to wait another 10 minutes or more. So, almost an hour to complete my order. Verified twice on the phone that we would receive bread. Its also on the ticket. Get home, no bread. That really just further annoyed me. Everything is cold. I only live 4 minutes away from the restaurant. Maybe if the food had been hot, it would have tasted better, but to me it was almost like something frozen that I purchased at the grocery. $40 for frozen dinners? A bit much for me. This was my first visit to a Carrabba's and I think that it is safe to say that it will be my last.

We went here tonight for my moms birthday. Sara was our server and she was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. She was nice, attentive, and got us everything we asked for. The food was also good. We got mozzarella sticks and calamari for appetizers. Even the marinara sauce that came with it was delicious. My entree was shrimp and scallpos which were seasoned deliciously. My only complaint is my side of pasta was lukewarm and I'm the type of person that likes to eat my food pippin hot. My husband got a steak with a mushroom sauce on it that was to die for. I think I'll get that next time we go. The steak was tender and juicy. I know alot of people complain about the wait but we went around 530 and did not wait at all. We will def be back!

Bad experience. Was ungodly noisy-people and music. Food was mediocre at best. Calamari was over fried and chewy. Ran out of pizza dough at 6:30 pm. Re-ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce, but there was too little Alfredo sauce so pasta and sauce formed rubbery mass. Price was not cheap. There are too many really good restaurants in New Orleans to bother to go back to Carrabba's.

Was first ones in the place at 11am when they opened. Ordered an appetizer it took 45 min to come out. (Steamed mussels.) ordered grilled shrimp salad and shrimp were still raw and even though they were butterflied still had a nasty vein in them. How gross. Lasagna was ice cold in middle. Ordered a specialty cocktail and they didn't even bother to use any garnish or even give me a straw. Table mates had to leave there food uneaten because they were on a 1.5 hour lunch break. Who would have thought lunch would take 2 hours when we were the first ones in the place. There was just no excuse for the poor service and food we received. Manager did end up comping the meal after we told him how the lunch had gone. I Have a feeling he does that often as I talked to other people since going and they had bad experiences also.

Yet another disappointment from the company that brought us the epic failure called Bonefish Grill, which happens to be across the street. Carraba's fits in the same category as restaurants like Olive Garden, and Macaroni Grill but just because it's the same "type" of food doesn't mean it compares in taste. Not sure how you can mess up a salad but Carraba's can. The lettuce was bitter and the carrots were far too large, and our entrees weren't much better. We got the chicken parmesan and the ravioli. Both entrees were overcooked and overpriced. $20 for two small (burned) chicken breasts and a tiny portion of pasta. The ravioli was also overcooked and very chewy. The best part of the entire meal was the bread, but don't bother with the olive oil they bring with it and ask for plain butter. All in all Carraba's belongs in an airport terminal, and is taking up valuable space on Veterans Blvd........what a shame. If you want good Italian food try places like Fausto's, Vincent's, or even Olive Garden which never disappoints.

So my husband and I made the mistake of coming here on Mardi Gras Day. The best thing here was the mozzarella sticks. I ordered chicken soup with spaghetti with a meat sauce and Italian sausage. So my "chicken soup" had one tiny piece of chicken... The server asked if I wanted her to bring me more chicken, but given that I had already started my soup I refused. As for my spaghetti, my Puerto Rican Mother in Law can make better spaghetti. I had to ask for more sauce just to get some coverage for all of the pasta they gave me. The picture is AFTER I added more sauce. The server sent the manager over after we paid, and the manager proceeded to ague with me regarding how "in Italy they don't serve pasta with a lot of sauce so if you want more, you can ask for tons of sauce when you make your order"... Last time I check Metairie, La was not Italy. Regardless of how old your recipe is (the manager stated that the recipe they use is hundreds of years old) if it sucks it sucks. Don't argue with someone who is showing you how crappy their food looked and that they weren't happy. I am a paying customer, since I wasn't coming in for a free meal, I expect to get my money's worth. Since we didn't, after making me feel like I was a petulant child who just doesn't know good food (the manager stated that they are "beating the pants off of everyone else out here") he finally said that we shouldn't pay for something we were unhappy with. While that was kind of him, at the end of the day, I will not back thanks to crappy food and heavy headed treatment. My recommendation: get some better training, better recipes, and better management. When that happens, I will come back.

It was my first time visiting the new Carrabbas grill in Metairie,LA. I would first like to speak about the atmosphere. The building and dining room were very nice and authentically Italian. The only thing that ruined it for me was the endless music station that was playing jazz standards. I'm from the thought that a dining experience should be just that, a totally immersive experience. Having Italian music playing softly in the background would have sent it over the top. Since this is a fairly new location there are still some things to iron out like service. It wasn't a very busy lunch time and the service and food was slow. On a different note, however, when the food did arrive it was very good. As an appetizer I had mussels which were all full and all opened which means they were cooked to perfection. It was a nice mix of garlic, basil, and wine. To bring it up a notch a spice would have been great, like red pepper flakes. For the main course I had wood plank grilled Mahi with a tomato and basil garnish which was cooked and seasoned very well. The garlic mashed potatoes were great too. All in all a good experience, however, I was a bit turned off by servers going to the bar and snaking from the drink garnishes. With a little better management oversight this place would be great! I'll be back later to compare my experiences.

Had lunch at Carrabbas yesterday and if it weren't for the attentiveness and professionalism of the bartenders we would never return to this establishment. We waited over an hour and a half for food and asked to speak with a manger maybe 20 times during the entire experience, needless to say he never came over. Jen and Marcus handled everything perfectly, which is the only reason I'm rating this place 3 stars. It was happy hour and they kept us entertained and in good spirits while we waited forever to eat. When the food finally arrived everything was delicious. Marcus recommended The Johnny with fettuccine Alfredo and it was excellent. My wife also enjoyed the Johnny Rocco salad. We would definitely dine here regularly once all of the kinks are worked out but management needs to realize that this is New Orleans there are plenty of place to enjoy good food. Take care of your guest.

Very good, this is a newly opened store. There was a little confusion amongst the staff about menu items because of the newness but they worked through it. The only thing I would say is they seemed very short on servers

We visited for dinner Friday night despite the reviews and found the food to be just as good as the other locations nearby; for example in Baton Rouge. With a full restaurant we were seated within minutes at 7:30 for a table for two. Our waitress was accommodating to our particular request. Delicious!

Very disappointing experience and it was our first visit there. We had good service but the food was very mediocre. Calamari was fair but the pasta had very little sauce and very few chicken strips. The Italian salad looked as if it came out of a bag of pre-cut mix like you get at the supermarket. We rarely order pizza but thought it would be good to get a one. Bad idea. After we had ordered one of the managers came over and informed us that the pizza dough did not look good. We had to get the menu and start our search again. A good kitchen manager checks all of the food in the kitchen for quality before the first order is taken. This restaurant has some serious management issues. Server had no knowledge of the pizza dough problem. The restaurant obviously does not make their own ingredients. Bottom line is that you can get better food at 90% of the restaurants in the area. We will not return.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
