Best burger, when you just want a burger. FANTASTIC milkshakes made from soft serve ice cream. the location by city park is best.

Burgers are pretty good. Pick the onions rings instead of the fries. The fries are not seasoned. This place would get 5 stars if they would cut their own fries & put some type of seasoning on them. The tables were sticky & the salt and pepper shakers had crud on them, clearly they have not been clean in a LOOONG time.

The original New Orleans Hamburger featuring their signature "signature sauce" that makes Bud's different from just another worthless fast-food burger. Poor a lot of this hopped up ketchup over everything and you will be happy. They also offer some great fried pies in case you need a little extra for you next cardiologist visit.

This place offers a delicious chicken sandwich which I get every time and devour within 2 minutes. Noticeably tastier and fresher tasting than any fast food sandwich I've ever had . Another yelper was right about stinking like a French fry when you leave . And that's my only reason for not giving 5 stars. Totally worth it though . I love taking my daughter here and the staff are very friendly and polite . This is the only buds I've been to so I have no basis for comparison like other yelpers , but it's quick , tasty and convenient and I'm happy . Need to try the cheese fries!

This place is so close to being a really good burger joint, but they need to improve on a couple of things. I have gone to a couple different locations and each time there about the same. This would be my 3rd time as this location, Walking in we were greeted by a very nice energetic lady that took our order. My wife and I got two burgers, hot dog to split and a chicken sandwich for later with some cheese fries and onion rings. We also go two large take home cups, which had a large sign reading no free refills. You kidding me no refills how much does it cost to give a refill, i can understand not having a station for the public so it wont be miss used but damn. We were seated in mini picnic tables that were sturdy and comfortable with lots of carvings from over the years customers. Our order didn't long, the burger was Ok if the meat was double thick or something it would have been much better, the Hotdog was good but the sauce was way way to much and the cheese was not melted. The chicken sandwich had no flavor except grilled, The cheese fries were pretty good but they are just generic fries with melted shredded cheese, The onion rings were ok but tasted and looked like the frozen kind from the grocery. For our overall experience i think we over paid for what we got, but its still good enough to go back someday.

ooooo bud how i have missed our drunken late night hunger dates we used to have! you always had what i needed at 3am or 4am to satify my craving. Grill onions, greasy burgers, salty fries. You really knew how to put it all together. It didnt matter how late i was you were always there. And i thank you for that! You are missed and i still havent found other like you in california!

Bud's Broiler is one of my guilty pleasures. I am a regular at the Bud's on Calhoun, but swing into this location often for a quick bite when in Metairie. If you're coming onto Causeway Blvd from I-10 you'll have to loop back around to get to this location. Just look for the Iberia Bank on the east side of the street, and you'll see the Bud's hidden away sharing the same parking lot. I like this location because there is ample seating when busy and service is quick. I always get the #6 and ask for a scoop of Bud's sauce to dip your fries.

If you're looking for a good, inexpensive burger - this is the place. I didn't realize most, if not all, of the locations are 24 hours. Granted, I don't eat that late anymore since I don't go "clubbing" anymore, but I would definitely have gone to this place in my late night bar hopping days, or the next morning to cure a hangover. Do Not Miss the Number 2 with hickory sauce or the fries. Yummy Goodness.

This local chain is not your typical fast food joint. Love the dogs, they are served on toasted hamburger buns. The chili comes from can, but it adds quite a bit to the food. The grated cheese, toasted bun, charred meats and chili all mesh together to form on delicious fast meal. Some of the locations are cash only, but have an ATM, this one accepts credit cards, but the service isnt as cheery as some of the other locations.

There is something to be said for "local chains" that have been around for a good amount of time. While I'll start off by admitting that I have had better burgers in my life (I feel like a lot of this stems from the fact that we've had such a drastic increase in the overall quality of our food in the past 30 or so years), there is a reason Bud's Broiler exists. It's a no-frills, "what you see is what you get" kind of place. And sometimes, that's what you want. My burger was good. Cooked nicely, seasoned nicely, and hot when I got it. The bun had been toasted and buttered, and it was adorned with the proper toppings I asked for. The onion rings were just a touch over fried and could have used more salt. The chicken nuggets were not seasoned at all and I would not recommend those at all. Everything was nice and hot when I got it, it didn't look like any of the food I was served had been sitting under a lamp when I walked in the door, which is a good thing. Am I going to come back to Bud's? Yeah, probably. I'm more likely to go there when I want a cheap burger than any other "fast food" burger like a sonic or Wendy's.

I have loved Bud's since I was a kid. I usually went to the ones on City Park Ave, Banks Street, or Calhoun Street. When they opened one near my office, I was thrilled. I think Bud's is the best fast food burger in town. The quality of the meat is so -so, but the finished product is delish. It is also a great place to go for a hangover cure or late night for a hangover preventative. I usually get the # 5 which is basically a dressed burger, no flame sauce. I also like to get an extra patty when I'm feeling really desperate. The flame sauce and chili are great, but they can overpower the toppings so I suggest getting just sauce or chili and cheese and onions. Bud's makes a mean hot dog as well, good fast food fries, and their malts are awesome. The only downside- you will stink when you leave. I promise.

In the days BK (that's Before Katrina for people outside of New Orleans) I worked near the Bud's Broiler on Calhoun and ate there frequently. Before that I visited the City Park Ave location since I was a kid. So, as a lifelong fan I was delighted to discover there is a Bud's minutes from my new house. That was almost three years ago but I've finally managed to get down there and pay a visit. If I'm a fan, why did it take so long? Well, that's the first item on my review, location. While technically on Causeway it's almost like being on a side street. See, the main part of Causeway goes over Veterans Memorial Blvd on an overpass and there is a tiny little service road to turn from Vets onto Causeway. On that service road is an almost hidden Bud's Broiler. Most times when I was hungry I forgot all about it since the sign isn't visible from Vets and barely visible from Causeway. Usually I'd see it driving to school in the morning and remind myself to go there one evening; I usually forgot. Inside it's decorated like any other Bud's with wooden tables and benches upon which to sit. This location lacks the charm of the City Park Ave. one, but they're all decorated the same since they are part of a chain. But who goes to get a burger based on decorations? The star here is the burger. Well, the burger, the dogs, and the other items you can get. I always get my usual, the #4 which is a char broiled burger, cheddar cheese, and either chili or smoked sauce. I get the smoked sauce. Oh, and onions; everything on the menu comes with or without onions. Of course, what's a burger without fries? The fries aren't fancy cut or anything, just regular, quality french fries done right. If I'm feeling adventurous (and don't mind a little heart burn) I get my fries covered in cheese and smoked sauce. And to finish off a good meal, an apple fried pie for desert. Think of a Hubig's pie without the glaze and you get the idea. I prefer mine without powdered sugar. Now for the other important factor: price. Burgers and fries here are priced higher than other fast food places, but in my opinion that's because they area higher quality item. Yes, it's still fast food but it's not the same pre-fab, super mass produced stuff you find at McDonalds or Burger King. So you can expect the price tag to be two or three dollars more at the end. Me, I think it's worth it.

This is the Bud's nearest to my office, so I end up here rather frequently. It's in a crappy CMU building with linoleum floors and none of the charm of, say, the City park Bud's, but they are prepared for a lunch rush that one would expect of a location surrounded by office buildings and retail establishments. They DO take credit cards. and, oh yeah, #4 with smoke sauce - yes to the onions.

I've been a customer of Bud's since the 70's and recently stopped by the Causeway location while shopping at Lakeside Mall. The last time I had eaten at Buds was before Katrina at the City Park Ave. location. While I used to enjoy eating at Bud's as a youngster I'm afraid that I am no longer a Bud's Broiler fan. The burgers are way overpriced and not much better than a plain hamburger at Burger King! No free refills on drinks and although I really didnt need a refill I did need more ice since mine melted twice before I could finish eating. They also got my order wrong which wasnt worth trying to get straightened out.
