Atomic burger, regular fries, & a large drink for 13. Maybe it's a little pricy, but regardless, I don't judge on price when it comes to a great, filling burger & perfectly seasoned fries. The interior was pristine, had an array of seating areas, and noticed that both people by themselves & in groups were comfortable as well as enjoying themselves. I must note that the service really made my day. Everyone in the kitchen seemed happy! I love having the opportunity to see bright, smiling, kind people working in the industry, and the young woman who helped me was incredibly sweet. (I really wish I would've caught your name, but keep it up honey!) I will definitely be visiting again when I'm craving a burger in the Metairie area.

My wife and I just happened to stop in and we were extremely impressed. The whole experience was so well put together, that I assumed this was a new boutique fast food franchise, but it's just this one location. The restaurant is very clean, attractive, well laid out, and plays good music. The menu is simple, yet offers something for everyone (my wife is vegetarian, and loved the portobello burger). The service was fast and courteous. And of course, the food is delicious. They even have some great craft beers available in bottles. We've been twice in the last two weeks and will be back soon. Hopefully next time we won't be so full that we can justify ordering one of the shakes. Not sure yet if they will topple Company Burger for my favorite local burger place, but they are definitely in the running.

Well i was thoroughly pleased with everything I had here. I've already come back for the second time in less than a week. That's saying a lot. Especially since this is in the heart of Metairie and requires me to venture from my comfortable, Mid City abode. The menu is simple and straight forward. The atomic burger is easily the best 'fast' burger you're gonna get. The specialty burgers also come in slider form so you can go that route if you want to get a good sample of what they're hitting for. The fries are hand-cut, which I'm a huge fan of, i think they can go a bit more easy on the salt tho. The milkshakes...oh the milkshakes! Whatever that process is they put them through will have you addicted. That cookies and cream is something so serious. They only come in one size, but I know I'd happily pay a little extra for a larger amount, it just disappears way too fast. They've got my vote and repeated business.

This is my favorite hamburger joint in Metairie. When I come to metairie I try my best to stop here to grab their fresh burgers. It is so good and the order takers are so nice. They also have an amazing option for their nitrogen chilled milkshakes. If you want the greatest service with amazing food come here and try it for yourself.

Atomic Burger really demonstrates that I'm very behind on my reviews.... Within a month after my original post, the manager of Atomic Burger private messaged me and said that he was disappointed that I didn't thoroughly enjoy their food. To make up for this, they gave me a $10 gift card. So I used it to buy two things I've never tried: the turkey burger and a chocolate espresso milkshake (when I order my shake, the girl behind the counter suggested I combined a couple of flavors. Since I was craving a mocha, I just went for it.) YUMMY! The turkey burger finally solved the greasy and salty issues of their mushroom burger. Perfectly seasoned, it was great to the last bite. Same with the shake. Super thick and refreshing, I can honestly say it's the best shake I've had. (I usually don't order a lot of shakes. And they're usually from ice cream places.) So 5 stars for the shake alone! And their customer service. Everyone there is so nice and obviously they care about their reputation since they understand that Yelpers aren't above bribes. BUT if your food isn't good, no amount of gift cards will change that. Luckily for Atomic Burger, theirs does.

Great location! I bookmarked this spot for National Burger Month and I am glad I did. I love the interior, it's contemporary and hip. I ordered an Atomic Burger (classic burger). It comes with cheese and AB sauce. I thought the burger was well seasoned and very juicy. The bun was soft and the fries were pretty good too. The fries were a little salty, but good. I enjoyed my meal with a wedding cake atomic liquid nitrogen milk shake. Woah!! The nitrogen milk shake machine is front and center, and believe me its a show! Great experience.

This place was huge surprises! Went in not expecting very much. However every thing is done fresh and to order. Great great burgers. The fries were fresh cut and cooked to perfection. I could see this place really becoming a great burger shop. The milkshakes look really cool and taste ok. However they were not cold. They make each shake with nitrogen and can be customize to your preference. Just felt like it was cool, just not that great.

Wow! Totally impressed! We finally got a great burger place to eat in Metairie. I've been craving a good, real meat, seasoned, cheeseburger and a friend of mine told me go to Atomic. I got the Atomic Burger with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and the AB special sauce. I also ordered a regular order of hand cut fries and ice water. The fries come pouring out of a cup and the burger is neatly half wrapped so you can eat it out of the wrapper. I've never in my life NOT put ketchup on my burger. From the first absolutely juicy bite, I was hooked! The special sauce is a mixture of ketchup, mayo, and mustard I think. More on the yellow side. You don't need to even add salt to the fries. They were perfect too. I'm now needing something sweet and regret not getting a shake. I was eyeing the Apple Pie flavored shake and I know next time I will definitely get that special treat!

When I have a stressful day at work, I get into my car and drive home thinking "burgerrrr...". A coworker recommended Atomic Burger as her favorite fast food burger joint so I drove straight to it. Click here for pics: wp.me/p5oRuE-mB The patty was really fresh...even fresher tasting than some local, restaurant burgers. It's a neater-eating burger and doesn't cause too much of a mess. Atomic Burger's menu is more simplified and sometimes you just don't want to complicate a burger. Every now and then, I just want my beef patty on burger buns with a side of fries and in that case Atomic Burger has my vote! They even have drive thru. Definitely a plus if you want to enjoy your burger at home!

One of the few times I have ever eaten on chain lane in Jefferson Parish. Atomic Burger was on my mind since I had heard glowing reviews. I tried two sliders the regular Atomic Burger and the grilled onion and bacon jelly, both were excellent. The home cut fries were pretty good too. I would come back if in the area but nothing to make a special trip for.

Delicious milkshakes. Personally recommend the wedding cake milkshake. Food: burger restaurant with 5 burger choices all good but the jamburger sticks out as the winner for me. It has bacon and onion and a hint of sweetness in it. Their milkshakes are all great, and that's not because of the nitrogen cooling that they use. Even tho it looks exciting. Favorite milkshake that I have tried is the wedding cake one. It has a pineapple and cream flavor to it that makes it refreshing and filling, a nice surprise. Ambience: clean casual seating area with lots of natural light. Minimalistic with a lot of red and white. Service: friendly staff was helpful with recommending milkshakes to me. She has personally tried them all and could give me a clear description of each.

Way better than your average fast food burger place. Beef is ground fresh everyday in house, and it makes a big difference. The shakes are awesome. They have apple pie, blueberry cheesecake and salted caramel among others. They taste like you're actually eating apple pie or cheesecake, graham cracker crust and all. All around delicious. Try it.

  • Amber P.

The atomic original is amazing and the fries are as well... You gatta try the milkshakes they are to die for. I had a cheesecake milkshake and I swear it was one of the best I've ever had in my lifetime. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I felt like the only thing I would change at this place was a lot less salt and everything, but other than that it's an awesome burger joint!!!

The other day: So my coworkers abated to go to a restaurant out in Metairie (Cajun Cannon?) but the parking lot was packed and the restaurant looked full. A last minute decision was made to go to Atomic Burger and I wasn't very excited because I didn't want to eat a burger and fries!! Luckily my coworker reminded me that there was a portobello mushroom sandwich and edamame... Since I was starving I decided that this sandwich and edamame couldn't be *too* bad. One bite into a sandwich and I though "wow I need to add a star to my Yelp review, this is AMAZING." The bun tasted like it was soaked in butter (which is why I don't think my hamburger was that great "to go" 9 months ago) but it tasted delish in store. I did snag a few fries from my coworker and I could have eaten the whole bunch of them! So this place gets 4 stars now instead for 3. I wouldn't get a burger to go from here, but a shake or fries would be ok. ---- 9 months ago: I ordered a cheeseburger (no onions, no mustard), large fries and a salted caramel milkshake. I split the fries and milkshake with my mom, but that was way too much food for one person. My meal was almost $12. The burger was OK. It was better than Wendy's/McDonalds etc but not better than a restaurant hamburger. The meat doesn't really have a flavor but it is juicy. The fries are AMAZING. I went through the drive through so of course I ate some fries on the way home. They were extremely hot, but that didn't stop me from eating them by the handful. The milkshake was good. I thought it was too thick and mom thought it was perfect. The flavor was nice but I wished it was a little thinner. Now I'm going to take a nap since I probably ate two days worth of calories. Good thing I went to the gym....

I love this place. Their fries are good and I LOVE the mushroom swiss burger. I love that you can really taste the meat. Yum. The sliders are small and mainly bread, so I would just get a regular burger and save some for later if you can't finish it all. I have only had the mushroom swiss but my husband has tried all the different types of burgers and loves them all! There are only 2 negatives about this place: #1 - the location is terrible to get out of and #2 - their shakes aren't like you would expect. They taste OK but they aren't cold and ice creamy like you would expect.

  • Brittany G.

Pros - cute place with a decent amount of tables, friendly service, interesting shake flavors Cons - expensive, the meat is tasteless, I'm not a huge fan of the fries I ended up getting a kids meal because I didn't want to spend 10 dollars on a burger meal. The kids meal consisted of a small version of their regular burger, fries, and a small drink. The meal was a nice size. I didn't get a shake but some of the flavors really intrigued me. I may go back for a shake but not for a burger.

As for fast food places I really like this place but it is quite pricey. My favorite thing to order here is the portabello burger which is nice and juicy and Jen L. said it's not a good idea to try and eat this in your car bc it will get messy. Another item I enjoy here is the chocolate milkshake which has the gimmick of being chilled by the nitrogen tank. It's pretty pricey for a milkshake but it is tasty. The only problem is that they close around 9pm so you gotta get there early. I've eaten inside and it's pretty modern and clean looking with friendly service and clean ladies restrooms. I've also done the drive thru and the service was quick and friendly. If you're looking for a healthy alternative for fast food I definitely recommend the portabello burger! With that being said I guess I should finally try their regular burgers! Oh, and I also have been meaning to try their edamame side instead of French fries as well but I really do love my fries! Happy eating!

Me and my six year old get burgers as a snack at least once a week. We are obsessed with burgers. We have tried almost every burger place in the New Orleans area and this is one of our favorites. The prices are great and cheaper than most places that make your burger to order. We always get the sliders so we can mix and match. This is where you can get a miniature version of any regular or specialty burger they offer. She can eat three sliders if I let her. The patty itself it very flavorful. I know this because my daughter won't put anything on hers and makes me taste. The fries and shakes look delicious but we never get anything but burgers on our burger outings so I cannot comment. The lemonade and iced tea are awesome. They even have unsweet iced tea. Yeah! The staff has always been super friendly. The cooking area, dining room, and bathroom are all very clean. Five stars!!!

Atomic Burger was the plan for lunch. We ordered a #1,#2,#3 and a kids slider meal. The burgers were greasy and over cooked. The only flavor of the burgers was salt. Lots and lots of salt. Even the edamame was super salty. The kids slider was a $6 joke. It was not much bigger than a fortune cookie. I'm giving the experience two stars because the food was edible as long as you have a pitcher of water to wash it down. The only thing that had the potential to be tasty was the order of fries.. Fail. I don't like my fries limp and over salted All in all this atomic burger experience was sad and over priced. Next time we will just go to Lagers.

We love Atomic Burger. It's one of my favorite burger joints to go to and the shakes are addictive. I usually get the Salted Caramel. Their recent peanut butter pie wasn't very good, but I like that they try new things. (Husband ordered it; thus, I tried it.) Also great for kids. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but standard stuff done extremely well.

This place has come a long way since opening day. It is a treasure in the JP and real deal local burger joint. If you think "Fast Food" burger joint you will be in love. I love the Atomic Burger with the A. B. Sauce, Fries and a Shake. I am also a fan of their ice and Chili Cheese Fries. The Chili Cheese Fries are not on the menu but they will make them for you.

So fresh, so yummy. Most of the food is very salty, but the milkshakes make it all better.

I wrote my first review a few weeks ago and expressed my disappointment because I was expecting a fresh, high quality burger for the price I paid and the salt content was overwhelming. The owner replied to my review and expressed great concern about my experience. He explained all food is made to order and I should give them another shot. He offered me a gift card and I came back about a week later. I got the same burger with no cheese or salt and it was great! I also went back with my husband today and tried their milkshakes. Those are good as well. Thanks again for the excellent service!

I will start this off by saying I will be back. The turkey burger was really good. I heard it has been opened since last November, but just made an entrance. The sales associates were very professional and the place was clean. My order was ready in under 2 minutes which isn't bad for a grilled turkey burger.

Plus-The liquid-nitrogen milkshake machine was awesome, although I've had similar good milkshakes at Sonic Drive-In. The french fries were also freshly made and cut. The restaurant was spotless and the staff were extremely friendly. Minus-Probably the worst burger I've had in awhile. It was extremely greasy similar to Burger King's. I had to take an antacid when I arrived home. Company Burger, or even Chili's is superior when it comes to burgers. The kids' hot dogs were also greasy and upset their stomachs. Hopefully this was just the D team working tonight since the Saints were playing. I'll try again in a few months.

I am ways looking for a new burger restaurant. This is the one for a classic diner style burger. Yes, at first glance this looks like every other fast food drive through restaurant. But not every fast food restaurant uses quality ingredients like these guys. The meat is well seasoned and has a char...FINALLY! I had a slider just so I could taste the beef. Let's call it an appetizer. Delicious. I also had a mushroom swiss burger substituted with turkey. I was hungry. Now turkey burgers do not usually rock my world. This one did. They "butter" the bun and lightly toast it on the grill so the bread does more than just hold everything together. It tastes good. Fantastic. The shakes are super good. If you want a peanut butter shake they put in real peanut butter. So this is where it might get crazy to some people...I am from the west coast. We have In N' Out. Love me some In N' Out. This is the closest thing to In N' Out I have had in Louisiana since I left California. Now remember...I said the "closest". I don't want to grievously offend anyone. Anyway...I hope y'all enjoy!

Super clean, super friendly, amazing food in a modern 50s diner atmosphere. Watching the liquid nitrogen freeze the delicious shakes was an added bonus. I've found my new burger joint in Metairie.

The atomic burger was one of the best I've had anywhere. The meat patty was very fresh. The fries were plentiful and delicious! My daughter had a mint chocolate chip shake that was fantastic. Of course I tasted it a time or three. I wish there was an Atomic Burger near my home.

  • Peter N.

Upon arriving to this establishment, you notice their liquid nitrogen machine pumping out milkshakes, making this place look intriguing. But honestly, theres nothing special about this place. Their burger is mediocre, nothing great really. Their fries were also very mediocre. And their shakes are a gimmick, theres nothing special about the shakes nor is it that great. Don't get me wrong, if I had to eat it, I will. But I wouldn't ever go out my way again to eat here.

Great burger! I wasn't expecting that much having had so so experience with both Mooyah! and Smashburger. I both were Ok but nothing better than 5 Guys until today. I just ordered a slider thinking that it would be a good snack and I'd get something later for lunch. I ordered the green chile slider and an iced tea and both were amazing. I know that's saying a lot for iced tea but it was really good, fresh brewed and perfectly sweetened when you mix half sweet half unsweet. The slider was hot, juicy and fresh. The bun was soft without being mushy and green chiles were gave the burger a warm heat that paired perfectly with the cheese. Now I can't wait to head back to Atomic Burger for a full sized Green Chile Burger or maybe just a couple of the sliders as they have some really great options. Oh and the staff at the drive through were some of the nicest I've ever encountered. Atomic Burger is my new favorite burger place.

Meh... The burger was good, but nothing to write home about, nor anything to go back for. The restaurant is clean, modern, and comfortable, although it was bit echo-y and loud with music blaring. (Perhaps the staff just turned it up really loud since it was the slow time of midday, and I was the only customer the entire 20 minutes I was there.) The concept of fresh ground meat daily is a good one, but the menu is rather limited and boring -- Atomic Burger (regular cheeseburger, dressed); mushroom and swiss burger; and two options with bacon-onion jam (one with a poblano pepper and one without). They also have a turkey burger, portobello sandwich, and hot dogs. All at a hefty price $6.89 for the burgers and $3.49 - $3.99 for the hot dogs. Drinks ring in at $2.29 and fries at $2.69 -- $3.69. A bit pricey for food that is just not that spectacular.

Whoa! Total hidden gem! This place blends in with all the other fast food joints on vets, but that's not what it is at all. The burgers here are fresh and delicious, not to mention their atomic freeze milkshakes. Yum!! Sometimes I'm craving a good burger and I don't want to eat at a bar or a nasty fast food place. Atomic has fresh ingredients, is clean and the staff is super friendly. Did I mention the hand cut fries? Or the pickles? They have these amazing pickles and grilled onions. Not sure what kind of burger to try? Get the sliders! There are also great special salads. Absolutely worth the stop.

I had wanted to try Atomic Burger for a while, they finally were not busy long enough for us to give it a shot. The menu is simple, the restaurant is clean and the service was outstanding. I was pleased to see edamame on the menu as an alternative to French fries. The choice of milkshakes was quirky and inviting. I won't revisit the whole milkshake making apparatus as this has been described in previous reviews. It looks like something out of the original Willy Wonka movie. I had the Atomic Cheeseburger hubby had something else and daughter had a cheeseburger too. All three burgers were so greasy, that they were wet. For lack of a better word, they just seemed....sweaty. The bread wasn't soggy or anything, but the meat was just yuck. The oily dampness was off putting. The bacon was basically flavorless. I ate two bites and threw it away. My husband ate a couple bites, hoping it would get better. It didn't. My daughter said hers tasted fine. The edamame were a bit over cooked and bland, but edible. I ate almost all of that. The fries my husband had were not memorable in any way. The milkshake my daughter had was very, very, good. I cannot complain about the service, but the food is just blah. If you are looking for a good clean casual stop with something to fill your stomach, this may be a good choice, especially if you add a milkshake.

I had the Jamburger. The bacon-onion jam is a great burger topping. I I could still use a little lettuce(next trip). The fries where homemade style and great. But all in all it is still a burger and fries for $13.56. I find that a little high. Y

Third times the charm. After watching the construction of this restaurant for months, I was eager to sink my teeth into a real Atomic burger. I read all of the reviews and can understand both the positive and negatives. This is a new concept in burgers and shakes. Not some transplanted New York/L.A. craze. It's born of our local folks and they're embarking on uncharted territory. That said, there are some kinks in service and consistency (that I believe they will work out in time so I won't harp on them) but the burgers are thick, fresh, juicy and cooked just right. I give it a big thumbs up. The owners/managers were very friendly and made sure to ask us how we liked everything. They had signage up addressing some of the concerns from previous reviewers, I think they are very open to the thoughts/concerns of customers and will continue to approve. For now, this makes my list of go to go 'old-fashioned' burgers and shakes. Price-wise...I mean, you pay $7-9 for a combo at Wendy's. So why not $9-12 for a combo (with Shake) at a locally owned joint that uses real actual ground beef!

i had doubts but was convinced to get a burger from here. I had the mushroom swiss add bacon. it was DEFINITELY ONE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT!!!! IT was delicious!! A bit pricey for the "broke-folks-until-payday" like myself but i will be going back!

This place has great burgers, milkshakes, and fries. I have now tried all of their milkshake flavors and have found them to be great. My favorite is probably the Nutella and marshmallow. The fries are great but I just want more. I would love it if they did something like the 5 guys and dump extra fries in the bag. The drive through is great and moves at a decent speed, but getting into and out of the driveway can sometimes be a challenge. Be prepared to pay more than you would expect for the burgers. But they are pretty good.

Not a huge variety of burgers or toppings. But what they had was amazing! The fries were almost perfect, just a tad too salty. The shakes were pretty good and an experience just to watch the being made. Definately a great addition to Metairie.

My husband and I came here Friday. We were a bit hesitant due to the ratings on yelp, but IT. WAS. AMAZING. Burger and bun was delicious. And you must get the fries. They were cooked to perfection. Plus, there Diet Coke and foam cups are on point. We will 100% be back!

Very good quality burger served here. They grind their own beef fresh, serve it on a buttered & toasted bun. The fries are a real star here - the perfect marriage of outer crispness with a firm, yet sift center. You can tell that they take great care in sourcing their food. Also, the nitrogen - chilled shakes are a must-have. My favorite is the Nutella marshmallow.

Flew in to surprise my BFF for his birthday and he had told me the next time I come in town I had to try this place out. So I finally did! I live in California so it almost has the same concept of In N Out Burger. I love In N Out because the sauce is good, it's fast and it's cheap! Atomic Burger costs a little more but it makes a mean-ass burger and I'm talking good quality, restaurant style burgers. Basically, you get what you pay for! This place grounds their own meat in the back. The patty is super thick. It's juicy! Although I do wish they would put more sauce because I am a saucy girl and I do love me some sauce! So next time I will have to ask. I added the pecan-wood bacon which made it taste even better. I'm not a bacon person but this bacon was yummy! Worth paying extra for it. As for their milkshakes....they have the liquid nitrogen machine that freezes up their shakes so there is no added icecream in it. I had the salted caramel which was super dee duper! I also tried the BFF's wedding cake shake and it tasted exactly like wedding cake! Super yummy! Can't wait to try all the other flavors! I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner Joe who is extremely pleasant and he was nice enough to share his story on the whole liquid nitrogen idea. Too bad the location makes it hard to find. This burger joint is a must have when I come back in town and I'm craving for a good, nice, juicy burger! Yum!

The burgers are better-than-fast-food good burgers (thought there's a drive thru), but we paid almost $30 for two burgers, one drink, and fries. That outrageous. That's a night out at a steak place for two people.

When the co-owner came by our table to ask how the food was, I looked him straight in the eye and told him the truth. "You've ruined Five Guys for me. I'll never be able to enjoy their food again." You can immediately see, smell and taste the difference in quality. Great service, a modern, pleasing aesthetic and most important of all - delicious, high quality food. My one request: offer small or kid's sizes for shakes.

Sometimes a first impression is not always the best thing. I always give a second chance to a business if the owner reaches out to me to say they are sorry. To me, that tells them the level of concern and the level of professionalism that they have. Joe was kind enough to ask to give him a second shot. I was apprehensive at first, but I said what the hell. Today I had the mushroom swiss burger fries and a wedding cake shake. The fries were fresh, the burger was tasty and this time not too salty. Had much more balance. The shake was impressive, never had a wedding cake shake but it was executed well. Sometimes, its not always about the food, its about the people that run it and when they show their character by reaching out and apologizing that alone is worth a second chance. I definitely will support this place from time to time.

Hands down this is the best Natrual and authentic Burger restaurant ever!!!!! I enjoyed everything about it, the price makes a lot sense now!!! Im addicted to this place, their services are terrific and their staff is nice and friendly. I never leave ratings for anything and nor do i work there or know anyone that does. 5 star rating is very much respectable for this rating!

My screaming two month old robbed me of the opportunity to enjoy the inside, so I went through the drive thru, and I have to say this in CAPS. THESE WORKERS WERE THE NICEST people I've ever talked to in a drive yhru setting. The seemed to take pride in Atomic Burger and they even persuaded me to tru yhe chili cheese dog. Now mind you I didn't look at the prices at all so once everything was placed and she told me my total I sneezed, coughed, and used a couple of bad foul words at the same time. However, she then swooped in and made mw feel like it was all worth it. Soo I perked up and forgot about the price. Now on to the "crack shake". I enjoyed every drop of milk that came out that dawg gone cup. I hate coconut, however, I didn't care at all. I kept drinking while driving and by the time I got home it was gone! The hot dog was not all that, but the Atomic burger was pretty good. Next time I will go inside child or not. I really enjoyed my drive thru experience it was amaze balls!! The best in the city hands down!

Ordered the Mushroom burger, fries and Blueberry cheese cake shake. Burger was cooked well done, I prefer medium well, but I don't think I would expect it other than well. Burger was greasy, though not necessarily a bad thing for a well done burger. Patty had a little bit of a sear, but not enough to get that crispy meaty taste. Bun was not toasted, a toasted bun is mandatory to soak of the juices running from the burger and not sog out. Fries are hand cut, skin on and you see the bags of potatoes in back. But Five Guys is better fries. Atomic Burger's, the fries were almost crisp, but the inside was not the creamy goodness you want. If they want to rise above mediocre, they really need to twice fry the fries. The Shake. The geek in me loves the liquid nitro rig, but it makes a poor shake. The blender can't mix the shake well, so some of the shake is completely liquid and some is frozen solid. Flavor was good, the ice cream base tastes like cream was actually used in it, something rare in fast food ice cream. If I have the craving for a fast food burger, I will be going to Five Guys.

Great burgers, fast, friendly service, and milkshakes that rock! The burgers are made in house, and it's cliche to say that they melt in your mouth, but that's the first thing I thought. The fries are thick, and there are lots of them. The milkshakes are great, and you should watch them make them. I don't know how much the nitrogen thing actually does, but it was cool to watch. If I had to make a negative comment, it would be that based on theor name I expected something really spicy, and that's not the case. But it was delicious and I can't wait to go back!

I've been all around this country, trying different burgers wherever I go. Some were fancy and expensive, some were cheap and simple. These burgers transcend any category I've ever had. Truly the best burger for the money in the country. Simple yet fancy and full of flavor. Atomic burger, put down your boxing gloves, because you've won the championship!

Great for Meh-tairie that they have a new burger joint in the burgeoning burger scene in New Orleans. Apparently, I don't understand the appeal of this place. I'm guessing it is likely just the flavorful combinations of shakes, not the burgers (so why not just be a milkshake shop?). I simply ordered a cheeseburger and chocolate shake......$11 Nothing special. I probably picked the wrong flavor, but the shake was nothing more than your standard Dutch chocolate ice cream that you could pick up in a store in a 12 oz cup. The burger? Nothing terrible, but more on par with Lees or Bud's and certainly not anything worth of a $5+ price tag. Service was adequate, but nothing impressed me to the point of compelling a return trip at any time.

According to signage, they've worked a deal with the bank next door regarding parking. Woot. That had been my only complaint from my first visit.

I was not satisfied with my burger. It was not delicious and tasted weird. As for the shake, the straw that came with it was so thin it would collapse and I couldn't even enjoy that either. Save your money and go elsewhere. #byefelicia

I've read the non-positive reviews, and I have to say that I, personally, was impressed with the food and service here. My boyfriend complained that the burgers weren't cooked to order, but I didn't expect that from a baby chain-type restaurant, so I have no complaints there. The patties were well-seasoned. Not New Orleans-spicy seasoned, but definitely better than I have had in cities outside of New Orleans. (Who hasn't traveled to Boston after living here a while and asked "Hey, who stole all the seasoning?") I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and everything tasted fresh and hit all of the right notes. There was a taste of char, but I really don't like char at all and still enjoyed the burger, so it wasn't that bad. I'm not a fan of fries but ate all of mine, so that should also be a testament to their food. Some of the fries did taste a little burnt, but once again, it wasn't the end of my relationship with Atomic Burger. The reason I'll really be going back is the milkshakes. Yes, they are on the expensive side, but in Florida, I was spending around $7 for milkshakes at my favorite coffeehouse. Also, these milkshakes are so good. They are also customizable. I was all ready to order a Nutella milkshake with its dreaded marshmallows (too sweet and bland) when the cashier asked me if I wanted just the Nutella. I was very happy, and I was even happier when I tried it. It was pure bliss. So, in short: Perfectly serviceable burgers, fries are a little on the crispy side, but the quality of the burgers and the awesome Nutella milkshakes will keep me coming back.

The cheeseburger was worthy of at least three stars and I enjoyed it as it was a thick patty of juicy meat. Everything was downhill after the burger... the fries were rather limp and not so good... the strawberry milkshake I got had ZERO flavor and was so bland I threw it away after not even consuming half of it. I attempted to sample a slider also but they were out of those. I might go back for the cheeseburger but everything else was pretty disappointing and would distract me from wanting to make a return visit. The bathroom floor was also super slippery and is a lawsuit waiting to happen so they probably want to address that ASAP!!!

I've been going to Atomic Burger for the past few months now. I've tried many of the menu items (and some you probably didn't think existed). So I'm going to start with the good and lead in to what could be better. The Good: The food. You can just tell the quality of food is WAY above average for a "fast food" place. When you order a burger, they actually put a slab of high quality meat on the amazingly made buns. The shakes are delicious, you will definitely want to try one when you go. Very interesting to watch being made with he liquid nitrogen, and still a great consistency. The fries are high quality and taste unique as well. The service. I only decided to try out the place after meeting the owner at my job and talking to him about it. Went over that day (and many other days to follow) and was surprised to see him and his brother working the registers and actually working with the staff. They are there most of the time, so go in and while you wait for your food be sure to talk to them about their food. They are very exited about serving the selections they have found. They focus on fresh and quality, they will tell you exactly where the ingredients came from. Try getting that from a Wendy's. The inside. They made it a nice place to eat. Very modern retro and different from the usual. They didn't skimp on quality, just look at the ceiling and see the numerous Bose speakers embedded in the ceiling. Great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The community, it's owned and run by real locals, an actual small business. Who doesn't want to support their community? What could be fixed: I'm refraining from saying bad, as they should not be reasons to prevent you from going, but things that could be worked on. I'm going to go ahead and address the pricing. You will find yourself shocked when you put your order in for a burger with a large fries and a shake and the total comes out to near makes no difference $20. You have to see that the price of the shake is near $5. Go to any shake place and it's pretty much inline with what you could expect, though a slightly larger amount would be nice. The problem lies when getting fries and burger. The burgers are near $7 and a large fry near $4. All said and done you are looking at around $13 with tax and no drink, double the cost of an "equivalent" McDonalds meal. But you think and see the burger quality and the quality of all the ingredients and can understand why it cost so much more. Better quality food cost more and taste better, that's that. Still, offering a burger and large fry combo for say $11 and then upgrade with a shake for $15 would be a welcome change in sure many would love and help make going there an easier decision. The burgers are a little greasy and the fries a little salty. If you like greasy and salty, no big deal, but I would like an option for a reduced calorie meal where the burgers are pressed a little harder to remove more grease and the fries are salted at least half as much. Something myself and a known few others would definitely partake in. The drive through. I know it's probably operating near full speed all the time, and that quality cooked fresh food takes a little longer to make, but the wait is a little long. Maybe offset that with some interesting art or something on the plain aluminum siding. Just a thought. The Menu. Maybe add a few lessor known options. A bacon cheeseburger should be on the list as a standard option, not a custom built thing. Also, I tried some Bacon Chili Cheese Fries. My god they were like $7, but they were the best dang fries I've ever had! Put that on the menu! TLDR- Go here, you won't regret it, it's great in almost every aspect. Tell your friends about it and support this local business by paying a little more for better food and actually getting a good meal.

I pulled in here thinking I'm about to be duped into another overpriced burger joint with their gimmicky burgers. I pulled up to the drive thru and see they have liquid nitrogen tanks for their milk shakes. I had 2 immediate thoughts. 1 was the only time I encountered liquid nitrogen was in a high school chemisty class where we put a bunch of rubber bouncy balls in liquid nitrogen then shattered them all like balls of glass. The other thing I thought was GIMMICKY! I ordered a basic cheese burger, fries and a medium Dr. Pepper. The total was 9.22. I immediately thought I was duped. They handed me my drink. It came in a styrofoam cup with crushed ice. This is a a huge deal for us fountain drink fiends. Hush it enviromentalists! Styrofoam keeps my drink cold!!! The fries were fresh cut. This is suppose to be a good thing. Anything fresh is always better right? WRONG! Everytime I get fresh cut fries, they are burnt and soggy. From Five Guys to Ruth Chris steakhouse, it's the same thing. I want a crisp fluffy fry. McDonalds get's it right most of the time with their cancer causing frozen crap. The only place that has ever gotten fresh cut fries right to me is Luke. Sorry Atomic Burger, you got caught in my rant. On with the review The burger was perfect! It was slightly chared on the outside, juicy and hot in the middle, not too big of a patty and a small, light thin bun, perfect for smashing the burger down. I hate when I get to much bread or a sesame seed bun. This bun is perfect. They also use shredded chedder instead of some government cheese sliced off of some big ass block. The only other issue is the parking and the location is a pain in the ass. Their lot is really small and you can get stuck waiting for all the Veterans traffic to go by before someone lets you out. I'll be back to try one of those gimmicky milk shakes and to get my burger fix real soon.

Atomic burger is the place to go to get a great cheeseburger meal without all the scary things you hear about in fast food. The meat is 100% real beef without hormones. The buns are baked fresh daily. I suggest the atomic burger which is their signature cheeseburger. They are also known for their milkshakes. (MADE WITH REAL ICE CREAM). They have several seasonal flavors such as a Mardi Gras milkshake during carnival season. The milkshakes are made with a nitrogen freezing machine. If you have kids they will enjoy watching the milkshakes get made behind a safe glass panel. The atomic burger now comes with two beef patties which my husband loves, however, one is enough for me. They were happy to accomodate my special order. Their fries are made fresh daily. And their service is great. If your looking for fast food that is not filled with all kinds of scary preservatives then atomic burger is the place for you!

I was really excited to try Atomic Burger. Their philosophy of offering elevated fast food with different & healthier choices definitely appealed to me. Tonight I drove through and got a regular edamame, a portabella burger and a chocolate shake...so that was kind of a lot of food for me. The regular edamame was equivalent to an appetizer order at a Japanese restaurant and was great. The portabella burger came with carmelized onions (yum) and good quality swiss cheese. I definitely should not have attempted to eat this in my car. Yummy & messy. The chocolate shake was really good. It actually tasted like chocolate & milk and not chemicals. I hope this idea succeeds.

I visited Atomic Burger on Saturday. Saturdays in Metairie are normally traffic filled days so be aware of this. This specific location has sit down as well as drive thru. Minimal parking and can be a little tight getting out of spots, so be prepared for these possibilities. Burgers. The burgers were not what I expected at all and I mean that in a good way. I went with a Bacon Cheeseburger. This consisted of a double patty, which cheese, bacon and fully dressed. It taste very fresh and just like it came straight off the grill. It was delicious and filling. You could probably go in and order just that and get yourself filled. I also tried a regular size order of fries which was a filled cup of fresh fries that is more than enough for one person. They are pretty tasty, not too salty just right. Shake. I think the shake is what will get me to go back. It was my first time trying a wedding cake shake. It was so delicious I taste tiny little chunks of cake in this yummy treat. Each shake is made individually on the spot and freeze slightly with nitrogen. Talk about a delicious treat. It's a bit much though. Don't go here unless you are extremely hungry to get your money's worth. In addition, staff is very friendly. It can be a little slow but I think it's due to this location being new in the area.

This is a really good burger. I don't really get why people complain about the prices. The meat was juicy and had a great flavor and the toppings were fresh and crunchy. The fries were a little too greasy and too salty for my taste, but I appreciate their home cut qualities. I do love me some french fries. I find the whole concept of this restaurant to be a little diluted. There's nothing really futuristic about it other than the name and that crazy nitro milkshake machine. I also found that french fries and edamame as the only 2 sides to be a little random and disappointing. But still, points for having a healthier alternative to french fries. So many flavors of milkshakes, and I chose Vanilla. I enjoyed watching that sucker being made almost as much as I enjoyed drinking it.

I ordered the green chili burger. The burger itself was ok at best. The bun and smoked green chilies were great. I know saying the bun of a burger was great is strange, but it really tied it together. My only complaint was that it came with a lot of mayo. I'm not opposed to mayo, but holy geez, it coated my mouth and I felt like everything was greasy and the flavors were compromised. The fries were good but the shake was the best. Their liquid nitrogen shake maker was really amazing. I would like to try other flavors but I kept it simple with just chocolate. It was super chocolaty and thick. I would try it again, but order the original atomic burger instead.

We went thru the drive thru and took our lunch home. So this review is based on the drive thru only. The menu is a bit small, but that's ok. We hoped they would have sweet potato fries, but they don't. I ordered us 2 cheeseburgers and an order of fries. Upon inspection of being handed the bag for my order, it looked like everything was in there. However, when we got home, we found they only gave us one burger and fries. So, we just split it. The food tasted fine but there wasn't much to it. They put 2 very thin patties together instead of 1 regular size one. It kind of reminded me of school cafeteria patties or something. Not exactly what we were looking for. Overall, it was edible, but I don't think we will be back anytime soon.

A brand new burger joint on Veterans and the hype immediately begins to build up wanting everyone to try it out. Sadly it does not meet the expectations and I did not think this place was any special. My parents were actually the ones to tell me about it and asked me to go buy some for them so we can try it. I ordered one cheeseburger, one bacon burger, one mushroom burger, and a large fries. I noticed that they cook their burgers medium so I asked for them all to be well done since I do not like to see any red. I do not think this affected the taste much. When we all were eating the burgers they seemed pretty plain and had no unique taste to them. There was barely any sauce or toppings. Might i add that the burger did give us a weird grumpy tummy feeling. I feel like I can make the same burger on my own grill at home. The fries are average and a little soggy as well. I feel like I may be a bit harsh since they are understaffed, which may be the rush of how they are preparing everything and maybe they have not worked out all of the kinks yet. I do wish I was able to try a milkshake though since one of their gimmicks is the liquid nitrogen machine by the register that spreads smoke everywhere. Maybe in a month after they have settled down will I come try it out again. For now, What exactly is so Atomic about their Burgers you make ask? nada.

I honestly dont see the big deal about this place. It is a cute little place and the prices aren't bad, but the food isn't really anything special. I went with my sister and we both agreed the burgers were too greasy. The milkshakes werent that great either. Their fries were probably the best part of my meal. I wouldnt go back again.

I'm not sure what method they use to cook their burgers, but I'm fairly certain it isn't on a grill because you can see behind the counter that they are run through a machine similar to what McDonalds uses. You can also see them weighing and rounding out fresh patties so at least you know the burgers aren't frozen. But whatever method they use to cook them, the flavor is ok at best, nothing to write home about. The fries are stringy and not very good and have little to no salt on them at all. I didn't try the shakes, but they have a machine that freezes the shakes with Liquid Nitrogen, which only seems to make it take longer for a shake. i don't know if it really helps the flavor that much since like I said I didn't have one. They weren't very busy either considering they just opened, at least on the inside they weren't. The drive through line was pretty long.

Went to check this place out and what a disappointment. I had the mushroom swiss burger, the burger was atomically charred all I tasted was burnt ground beef. cheese was on the bottom of the charred patty, mushrooms on top, I guess they're being rebels when it comes to placement of cheese. The fries were also burnt, it seems like the oil was old, soggy burnt fries. The milk shakes are pretty good, even if overpriced and small I don't really see a reason to go back, unless I want to chew on a piece of charcoal on a bun.

My experience at this restaurant was great! The burgers are really good. They are well cooked and seasoned. The service was awesome as well. I don't say that lightly. I was invited to this restaurant by the owner, Joe Spitale, in an email in response to a bad experience I Yelped about nearly 16 months ago when they first opened. He even offered me a gift card which was more than generous. I really hadn't ever been back but decided to give it another go after he reached out. I was surprised to say the least because it had been so long. None the less, I gave his establishment another go. Once by drive thru and another with my girlfriend when we went inside to order. I'm very pleased to say that both the service & food have vastly improved. Both times our server was Kamara and she was very polite and welcoming. We had each signature burger as sliders. They were delicious. I'm happy to say I'd recommend this restaurant. If you're ever in the area give them a try!!

I love the place when the food is good but the problem is a lack of consistency. The portobello sandwich is my favorite and the fries but it's never the same. Sometimes you get one solid slice of portobello mushroom and then I get one in thin short slices. Sometimes perfect, sometime cold and sometimes way too salty. I must say that when it's good, it's very very good.

Love Atomic Burger! I haven't had everything on the menu, because I always have the turkey burger (no AB sauce + Swiss chesse), which I think is delicious French fries are also good. It's very clean, and the employees are extremely pleasant.

I LOVED this place. It at one point had sliders a perfect option for those not looking to totally go into a food coma after consuming one of their burgers and between that and the ednamame it was a great healthy option. Fast forward to today's drive thru experience suddenly no sliders but the option to get a kids menu version. Okay fine I guess until I roll up on the window 30 for three kids meals!!! What?!?! Oh wait they up charged me adult combo prices. When I pointed this out they explained they only offer jr hamburgers at adult combo prices. What's the point????? So unless I have three kids in the car they won't honor it. What are they going to do a head count??? Won't be returning and it sucks because it was a fabulous opinion that isn't worth the hassle!

Really competition on burgers is tough Location, hard to get in and out, really no where near enough parking Service, I ended up being the only one in the drive through, 12 minutes and watched everyone inside sit around and gab, even when the girl had my bag in her hand she stood chatting with a fellow employee before turning around and handing it to me, "sorry about the wait" Cost. Way too much for what you get, I like fresh fries, not these. 4.50 shake great taste for the part that was mixed but not near enough for that kind of money Burger. Not bad but again priced ridiculously for a mediocre burger at best Tried but will not waste my money again. Good luck

Saturday evening, looking for a quick meal on the way to an incredibly boring fundraiser. Always happy to find parking - there appears to be adequate on-site parking. Very nice inside, this is a new building, clean, contemporary lines, well organized. I particularly liked the bar height seating area. Service was pleasant and quick. We tried the cheeseburger, fries, turkey burger and, getting the whole experience, a shake. This shake is $4.49 - more than any other part of the meal. Freezing the shaking ingredients into a shake is kind of neat but, after the fog clears, nothing but a gimmick. The shake wasn't any better than one made conventionally anyplace else. Fries were ok, nothing special. I understand the cheese burger was good. I personally had the Turkey burger. Let me tell you about the Turkey burger. I have no idea how anyone would know this is turkey by taste or inspection. It could be ground anything. I suspect it would take a team of forensic scientists and a multiple DNA tests to determine if a turkey did more than spit on passing patty. At best, maybe 20 or 30 processing steps ago there was a pile of turkey skin, claws and wattle. Way to make a McChicken look like gourmet cooking. A little over $20, no more than average...which in New Orleans means two stars.

We really wanted a burger & decided to try Atomic Burger. I ordered 4 burgers 1 of them being a special order & 2 regular fries. The order was correct, which is hard to get these days. The burger was juicy, but was pretty salty. The bun was cold, the lettuce was wilted & the tomatoes were too ripe. The fries on the other hand were really good! Was it the best burger I have ever had? No however, it wasn't the worst either.

I've had the mushroom sandwich, twice, and both times it was quick, tasty and super filling- which is hard to come by in a vegetarian sandwich. Hooray for fast food/drive thru with a no meat option. Just don't drive and eat the mushroom sandwich, it's way messy in a yummy, juicy, onions sliding around, gooey cheese, so many flavorful mushrooms falling off way. It's a little pricey but that's a big sandwich. And the regular fries was also overflowing. I couldn't eat all of them. I like the fries, mine were crispy and I like skin on.

It's good enough to be a super low 4-star b/c truly, it's nothing special. The burger is on par with Five Guys in terms of price and size. If you like Five Guys, you should like Atomic Burger. It's a fun atmosphere with the milk shake idea and for locals, they even provide a King Cake Shake (probably for the Mardi Gras Season). For $11 for a bacon cheese burger, small fries (two sizes of fries) and a drink, it's pretty pricey for a fast food-ish burger. If you are a local (of Metairie-New Orleans), for the same price, Cheeseburger Eddie's is awesome. Now that place is a strong 4 and on the verge of a 5-star rating. But back to the theme of Atomic Burger. It's a new(er) place with a solid fast food burger on the same level as Five Guys and "better" than your typical McD-BK-Wendy status quo. Their fries, interestingly enough, is a great product. I could swing the vote and give them a Four just b/c of the fries. But until I revisit like water buffalo to a watering hole, I'll keep it at a 3. Enjoy.

I am a burger aficionado. I love burgers so much that I make people uncomfortable while I eat them. To me, the most important thing about a burger is the meat; I'd say the meat makes up about 85% of the grade I give a burger. I like a medium to medium well burger that's slightly charred and not overly seasoned (basically a little bit of salt and pepper). If you like burnt up hockey pucks with egg and garlic and fennel or whatever, then you and I aren't going to jive when it comes to burgers. Other than the meat I'd say the bun makes up about 10% of the score. That means that I can have an A+ burger with no toppings. So that's my scale. If you don't like a pink center in your hamburger, then go by someone else's review. Also, you're eating burgers wrong. This is the best drive through burger I have ever had. Better than In-n-Out. Better than Five guys. Better than Lee's. Better than Frostop. There are 2 types of burgers here; regular burgers and sliders. The regular burgers are big, I'm guessing somewhere between 1/4 lb and 1/2 lb. The sliders are also pretty big. Definitely not sliders, more like the size of a Five Guys single. The sliders are where it's at. They are cooked perfectly, a little bit of char on the outside and a little bit of pink on the inside, which is very difficult to do to a patty that thin. The Jam Burger slider in particular is where it's at. It's got bacon and onion marmalade which I think is just onion confit with chopped bacon. What ever it is, you need to get it in your mouth. The other 2 sliders are also good, but seriously, get the Jam Burger. The fries are fine. They are only good hot and fresh out of the grease, so don't dilly dally. The fact they offer edamame is weird, but I guess to each his own. I have not had a shake because I refuse to pay $5 for a 16 oz shake with no booze.

We have been waiting to try Atomic Burger and today was the day. We pulled through the drive thru around 2p.m. so there was no wait and not much action inside. I ordered a cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised, and the size of the burger was good for the price. I really liked the overall taste too, and didn't have any problem with the char level I've seen some people mention. The fries were good and seasoned really well, but ideally they could have been a little crispier. I also ordered a king cake shake and it was really good, but definitely too full to have too much of it. I don't think I'll go out of my way, but when I'm in the area Atomic Burger will definitely be a strong contender.

I had the turkey burger, which was a little thicker and drier than I prefer. The pickles were pretty good. I ordered (and paid 60¢ extra) for cheese, which I did not get. The lettuce was wilted and the bun was good. It was very fresh and toasted. I LOVE French fries, but these fries were not my thing. They were all mostly little small pieces. Maybe the bottom of the batch??? They were crispy but too greasy in my opinion. The place looks nice and the service was great. My only complaint is they have a self serve drink station. I can't stand drink stations as they are nearly impossible to keep clean. This was my first and probably last time here, unfortunately. I really wish the food was better. It's just not my thing. Definitely not worth $9.38 for a burger and fries or $4.49 for a shake that was good, but nothing special.

First time eating at Atomic Burger. It's a cool little place. I ordered the Atomic Burger dressed as is, and it was surprisingly just okay. Nothing special for a 6 dollars burger. The Regular order hand cut fries was what saved the meal. Not very often at a fast food place do you get really good Hand Cut French fries as well as a large portion. too much for one person. Lastly the Milkshake!! Awesome!! Will be back just for that. Mint Chocolate chip was a winner and will bring me back to try different shakes and maybe a different burger to redeem the first. I would compare it too Five-Guys but slightly below it

This place is a very young and budding empire waiting to happen. The burger was great once and good the next time. The fries need a bit of work, but there is not doubt in my mind they'll be sorted out in no time. I've had 4 shakes from the liquid nitrogen machine and they were outstanding. The burgers were tasty, juicy and seasoned well. I will return multiple times. This place is fantastic, and it's only one week old. Imagine where these guys who created this brilliant concept will take it in the future. Highly recommend. Also pink is not raw you fucking clowns!

Have been really curious about this place on Veterans. Finally gave it a try. Not a great location. Parking is really tight. Was kinda disappointed in the interior decor. Was hoping it might be a bit more "Atomic" than it is. The burgers were just burgers. Looking into the kitchen I saw a flame broiling machine just like the one's that B King uses. That's not atomic! That's ordinary! The shakes are supposedly chilled by liquid nitrogen. They have their shake making machine on display. The fog from the liquid N2 is visible but again, that does not make it atomic! The food was not bad. It was typical fast food fare. I was hoping for something special and perhaps a bit more "kitschy" out of Atomic Burger. At least paint a giant mushroom cloud on the wall or name your food after radioactive elements. Can't say that I will not go there again, but it's not a must visit place.

This new spot has hit its stride and it is a gem not to be missed. The food may be fast, but the burgers, shakes, and fries are equal to the best anywhere. Everything is fresh, the place spotless and the personnel friendly and accommodating, The milkshakes are sumptuous and made instantly through the high tech magic of liquid nitrogen, hut high quality ingredients really will blow you away. The burgers are top quality, everything fresh and very generously proportioned and perfectly cooked. Try the onion.bacon Jamburger for an awesome experience. The surprise comes with the check. Ten bucks gets you a five star burger and shake, None better!

I have improved my diet to the point of not eating low quality greasy ground meat. I'm happy to say this does not include Atomic Burger! They use a high quality meat and grind it on the premises. Then cook it to perfection; not well done or burned but with a delicious pink center. The flavor is high quality. I had a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake. What more can I say? I'll be back this week! The kids loved it!

I decided to give Atomic Burger another shot and it was much better this time around. Burger was good and fries were cooked well this time! Enjoyed my dinner!

The plain burger, nice fresh meat patty, is good although a bit pricey for fast food - $5+ for the burgers. The fries were so-so. I wouldn't make a special trip to drive back there.

Ordered a bacon cheese burger and a mushroom Swiss burger. The bacon cheese burger took about 15-20 min and was cold when it got to us. It was bland, over-cooked and all I could taste was the bacon. How do you get an over-cooked burger that's cold? The mushroom Swiss burger had 4-5 tablespoons of mayonnaise on it and was also bland. The fries are of the shoestring variety and were greasy, over-cooked and heavily salted. Wanted to order a nitrogen milkshake to see if that would redeem the visit, but alas the machine was broken. I honestly thought 3 things in my head while eating my meal: 1. Wendy's burgers taste better than this 2. I can't believe I paid $20 for this adventure 3. I won't be coming back

Delicious gourmet fast-food burgers and milkshakes. We visited for lunch and came back later in the day for milkshakes.

I must say i'm glad i didn't listen to the reviews. The hubby and i wanted a burger so we decided to give it a try. Drove right up and parked with ease. Upon entering we were promptly greeted by our order staff who took our order. We each got a cheese burger with fries and a drink. In under 5 minutes they called our name to pick up. Our burgers were very fresh and about a 6-8 oz patty flamed broiled. The fries were fresh cut (similar to the kind at great steak escape) which i love. Drinks were self serve. Geesh we even had a visit from an employee (maybe the manager) asking how our meal was and if we needed anything. So i gotta say, ignore the bad reviews and give it a try. Well worth the price. Oh yeah i will be back to try a shake when it is not 30 degrees outside!!!!

Revisited Atomic burger 3 months after my first visit to allow them to iron out any issues that may have been caused by being a new restaurant. Menu Items tried: Atomic Burger Chili Cheese Dog Cookies and Cream Shake While the Burger improved slightly from my first visit with a little more flavor, it was still unremarkable. The meat actually stayed together this time while eating, which is a big plus, and was dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and AB sauce. While the flavor of the veggies was good, the meat still lacks any thing that would make it standout (nice crust, seasoning) and was a bit greasy. I did enjoy the burger more than the last time that I visited (one more star given), but would rather go to Company Burger, Truburger or Lee's, where I feel like you get more flavor for your money. The best part about Atomic Burger are the shakes. While the liquid nitrogen cooling system is a bit gimmicky, the flavor is on point and worth a trip through the drive through. The cost is a bit steep ($4.49), but they are as good as Marble Slab shakes and you don't need to get out of your car. Overall I think that Atomic Burger is OK if you in the area and craving a really good shake, but I would not go there specifically for a burger, as other specialty burger places in town do a better job.

Really doesn't get too much better than this for a fast food burger. Far more superior than Five guys and Smashburger. Cleaner environment than five guys and very cleancut and friendly staff. This place has my business .

Used to be excellent.... Not today. The wife and I have dined several times at this place since it opened. Up until our last visit on Sunday 6/8 we had always been impressed, but not so this time. Burgers no longer cooked with nice crispy edges. All those filthy white stools look like they've never been cleaned. Walls are beat up. Several burned out light bulbs. Table tops not very clean. If the front looks like this, really makes one wonder how clean the food prep areas are... Used to look forward to dining there, but not any more. Menu board used to obviously show the smaller options and better prices, but now small print for normal/small/cheaper burger. Not sure if management changed, budget cuts, or what. They could be great again, if they put forth some effort.

I went to Atomic Burger on a Sunday w/ my husband, and we beat the crowd by about 2 minutes as we arrived at about 2 pm. We were there for our first visit, and enjoyed the clean, new dining room. The Swiss mushroom burger was very much a "melt in your mouth" burger. Very tender meat, a really fresh, soft bun, and tons if mushrooms. The fries were also very good. The fries were comparable to Five Guys, but the Atomic burger was definitely better than Five Guys' burger. One reviewer described the burger as greasy, but I would argue that the meat was fresh was cooked to be very tender rather than cooked to a crisp. I am not a fan of a well done patty of meat. We will be going back! I appreciate they have a drive through too.

After being initially put off by the place being closed from 3 to 5 p.m. In the afternoon even though there are signs everywhere that's a open I decided to try and get this place another chance.. The long wait times and high level of indifference and apathy exhibited by their staff was an ominous sign of what was to come when the food finally did arrive. My hamburger was literally burned. Parts of it were actual charcoal. The fries that I got were a greasy cup of overcooked mushy potatoes. The only thing I could taste was charcoal and pickles.

Amazing service, clean and comfortable seating area. My burger was fantastic. They ask you how you would like it cooked. I chose med. well and thats exactly how it came out. I did not order the fries, but my friends did. Hand cut, triple cooked. I tasted theirs and wished I had ordered them for myself. The meat on the burger was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and had a great taste. I ordered a blueberry cheesecake shake. My friends had the Nutella - Marshmallow and Espresso shakes. We were able to taste each others and they were all surprisingly good. The owner stopped at our table and actually took the time to talk to us. Let us know what was involved and how things were going. I love to see that type of hands-on business operation. All in all, I am very pleased with this new place and I can not wait to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!

You definitely have to try this place. Fresh, delicious food served up by super friendly people. I love the concept and their commitment to serving quality food in a fast, easy way. Get a milkshake while you are there, you won't regret it!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Went there for the first time today and loved it! The turkey burger was great, and I had a bite of my friend's hamburger and that was good, too. The fries were good, and I know this sounds weird, but the ice is the BEST! I have a thing for ice chips, and that is what they have, so it was wonderful. Can't wait to go back! The old man at the table next to us had chili fries and they looked good, and the shakes looked great, too, but I was too full. I hope they succeed!

Other than the fries, I wasn't impressed with the place or the burger itself. Although it is new, I am not a fan of their chairs or design. It is also small so during lunch it may be difficult to find a place to sit. I am not a fan of sweet pickles on burgers. I did like the t-shirts with the slogan "break the old habits."

I love the food here! Most fast food places make you feel like you are filling your body with crap that your going to regret later however the burgers from atomic burger are juicy and fresh i love that you can get edamame instead of fries but their fries rock too! It took a little while for our food to be ready but i don't mind waiting a few extra minutes as long as the product is worth it and it definitely is. Their shakes taste great and the first time i went i ordered a turkey burger however the manager advised me that the original recipe they used was a but dry so the owners felt more comfortable removing it from the menu for a short period of time to adjust the recipe instead of serving something their customers wouldn't be completely happy with which i think is absolutely amazing i work in customer service everyday and these guys are definitely doing it right!

I've spent the last two years working in Metairie, so it's a good thing I finally chose to try this place during my last week of work, because I am now hooked on their milkshakes. I went through the drive-thru, and after creeping through yelp pictures and drooling over their milkshake menu online I decided on the Nutella and marshmallow shake. It comes in one size only, which is a little big for one person, but also a little steeply priced at about five dollars per shake. The milkshake consistency balances itself with a nice sippable to frozen ratio. Happily, my first sip was met with a strong Nutella presence with small chunks of marshmallow that eased their way up the straw with little difficulty. I want to try the other flavors here, such as the wedding cake shake, but I really don't have a desire to test out their burgers, so this review stands for milkshakes alone. Maybe next time I need a Target trip, I'll sneak in a milkshake stop as well and report on the other flavors.

A bit of a more upscale drive thru burger and great fries. Nice choice for those days you spoil yourself with a burger. This is worth eating even when on a diet, real beef, seasoned, and hand cut fresh fries with a nitrogen shake! Come on!

Interesting concept for a burger place. I tried the sliders and milkshake. It's a fun little novelty that you should try at least once for the experience.

Would easily be 5 Stars if you bring back the Sliders!!! An Incredible, almost Genius Offering! Who else offers an Incredible Quality Slider in a Fast Food Option? NOBODY, dat's Who? Bring back the Sliders, PLEASE! A NO-BRAINER if ever there was one......

I had been wanting to try Atomic Burger for a couple weeks, and yesterday was the day. I went there for dinner with a friend. Adequate on site parking which was a plus. Great service, and the food arrived quickly. The nitrogen shakes just felt like a gimmick. The shakes didn't taste any better and weren't any colder than traditional milk shakes. The food was alright, the burger patty literally fell apart while I was trying to eat it. At the end of the meal there were bits of meat all over. This place is nothing too special. There's definitely better burger picks around, but Atomic Burger is definitely better than Burger King or McDonald's.

I'm only giving it a one star because that's the least I can do on here. Their burgers are so not worth the price they had no flavor at all I had to add ketchup and BBQ sauce to give it a flavor I couldn't taste the mayo or mustard that comes on it. Def Not going back!!

A little expensive but it's the best fast food burger I've ever eaten! You get what you pay for and I don't mind spending a little extra for quality! The milkshakes are to die for

Delicious, juicy burger with freshly ground meat, cooked perfectly. The bun and toppings were all high grade, and the owners, knowing there was a long wait in the drive-through, came out to talk to each driver and thanked them for their patience. Great local place to support.

Any of you fools giving anything besides 5 stars are out of your mind. It far exceeded my expectations. Burgers was awesome and wonderful, somehow without being overly greasy. I was expecting to eat and then be done for the day, but I may as well have eaten Subway. Can not stress how great the food was. In addition to great food, the service will keep me coming back. There is something to be said for polite, friendly employees. I can do without someone asking me if I need a refill, but I don't mind someone doing while he is quickly bussing tables of people that just left. I can not wait for my next meal. Keep it up...I am also looking forward to trying out the milkshake from that monster machine.

A really nice change in this area as far as fast food goes,I had the turkey burger, and it was pretty tasty. The fries were a little undercooked, but would be great otherwise. My boyfriend had the bacon cheeseburger and they left out his cheese, but he said it was still a good burger.Smiling staff is a plus.I will go back and try a shake, they sound really good.

Save your money and go somewhere else. They were out of sliders. All the tables were dirty. They was a sign up saying the burgers are cooked medium which is fine but mine was rare which would have been fine except it soaked the bun so it was soggy and red. No one likes a soggy bun. The manager was so rude and said I didn't order correctly and if I wanted it well done I should have ordered it that way. I just didn't want a soggy bun. Lastly the fries were way too salty. I won't be giving them a second chance because of the manager. Also give the poor cashier a sweater.

Atomic Burger seemed promising, though kinda hit and miss judging by the reviews, so my girlfriend and I decided to go check it out. We opted for the drive-thru because it seemed crowded inside. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a mushroom swiss as well as an order of edamame and fries. It was a miss, unfortunately. The meat was pretty charred on both our burgers, but to a much greater extent on my girlfriend's bacon cheeseburger (which had very little cheese for a CHEESEburger). Also, her burger was sloppily slathered with mustard, overpowering the taste of the meat and cheese. On top of that, the fries were slightly burnt and pretty limp. The edamame was pretty good, but how hard is it to mess up edamame? I had pretty high hopes for these guys. We'll probably go back in a month or so, when everything calms down and they get some of the kinks ironed out.

This place is ok. The burger was over-done but it was still falling apart. The shakes are really good, but not 5$ for that size. There was an employee standing by the trash cans clearing off the tables, but the trash cans were filled to the rim. I had to leave my trash on the table, which I hate doing. It's a cool place, but if I go back, it will be to celebrate something with a shake and some fries, which were fantastic! The fries are the only reason I'm giving this a 3 instead of a 2. If you're in the area you might as well go to Lee's right down the street.

Out of sliders, shake machine broken, employees (I think it was even the owner/manager) sitting on food prep counter, milk products were left out on the counters, every employee was playing on their cell phone and talking amongst each other, their personal food and drinks were left out in plain sight, they even closed early... And we were not even greeted when we walked in. The burger was good, but I was extremely disappointed. We had been looking forward to the opening for a while, and it honestly wasn't worth the wait. It seems like the owners have never been in the food industry, and the employees didn't seem to care about anything. If you were that ill prepared, you should've pushed back your opening. I'm never one to write bad reviews, but this was absolutely horrifying. Doesn't deserve the one star!!!!!

The burger was basically ground beef falling apart in my hamburger bun and the fried were burnt. The only thing I enjoyed was the shake.

Tasteless burgers, ketchup in little packets, dirty tables with no one bussing, 1/4 of the menu still not available. This place has been open more than a month and should have improved by now. Even the burger addict in our family will not be back.

Ok, on my husband's advice and growling stomach, I gave in and decided to give Atomic another try. Well, the heavily charred taste was gone, but the grease, oh, the grease AND the one piece of wilted, almost cooked lettuce made me not want to eat! Yep, I said I was done before, but now, I'm totally finished with this place. We waited 9 minutes in the drive through. I think they were grinding the meat. The salt on the fires made us pucker. When we didn't finish our unpleaseant burgers, we offered them to the dogs. Even they refused. By the way, we counted 9 people (that we could see from the drive through window) working in the restaurant. Cut a few employees and the prices for this less than one star-deserving company!

Great burger, great atmosphere, friendly service, you can't ask for much more. Some of these reviews are a little over the top. Like ANY new restaurant, you are going to have some minor issues that need to get worked out. That happens everywhere. I have been three times and had a great experience every time. This is my new go-to burger place when I'm in metairie
