I like the food here, but the service failed to wow me. The wait staff is more concerned with being on their cell phones and gossiping than tending to customers. The condition of the building isn't good either and makes me uneasy about the sanitary condition of things. The roof looks well on its way to caving in. If you can look past the nonchalant service and a long wait for your food, it's a decent meal.

Was bored out of my mind so decided to drive to the border for a banana daquari when I stumbled upon this place. The star is for the most amazing tea I have ever had. I may have just wet myself thinking about it. Any who the food sucked. I had some beef jerky they were calling fajitas. Plus I finished my delicious tea and I never got a refill.

Service was horribly slow, they didn't bring the guacamole, sour cream or pico with our meals & in the middle of the night I was very very sick in the bathroom. When we asked for guac, the waiter said they were out. I cannot recommend this place.

Went the 1st time ever to the Elgiro Mexican Restaurant on a Friday evening at 6:45 PM. Was very busy, but we were seated quickly. Took awhile for us to decide what to order, but the food was prepared quickly. We found the restaurant clean and enjoyable. food was very good tasting. The drinks were very good and a good price. loved the small $4 margarita and the dark $3 beer, so when we saw there was a buy 2, get one free deal on drinks we did that. I am usually disappointed with margaritas at a lot of the restaurants, so nice to find one enjoyable. We found the waiter very hard to understand but I find that in a lot in Mexican restaurants. The food was very tasty not too spicy. I had the combination plate with 3 items (enchilada, taco, and tamale) included beans and rice, for $7.49 it was very good. She had a shrimp quesadilla for $10.and it was worth that. Plenty of guacamole and sour cream included. the whole bill would $39 with$5 tip included. We will be going back to this restaurant. Today.

Pretty good mexican joint, large amounts of food cheap prices. Would have been 4 stars but a family of rednecks grossed me out. No body wants to see shirtless kids and a rather large mom wearing only swimsuit bottoms. The staff should have tossed these fools out.
