Been here twice and very much enjoyed there burgers. Very big tasty burgers at a good price. Don't get the nachos though had hormel chili and cheese sauce. But this is a burger joint and does a super good job at it and definitely recommend it.

Great food and excellent service. Catfish is one of the best in the area. Salads are gigantic and very tasty. Highly recommend!

Tasty burgers and sandwiches. Nice to be able to get a side salad instead of fries. Generous with their cheese on burgers/sandwiches.

Great Burgers and huge Salads! The Triple Nickel is my favorite burger place in the Covington/Mandeville area. I like the thinner cut fries at Triple Nickel and the fried pickles are a nice splurge from time to time. They also have a frequent diner club. Get a card and eat 10 entrees in order to get a free one. This restaurant may be a tad busy right after a Pelican Park soccer game, but I recommend the wait.

My wife and I split a burger and chicken sandwich. They were both good. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely eat here again when I am on the Northshore. They are close to Pelican Park.

Yummy burgers! The staff isn't the best. It seems like they hire high school girls to take the orders, which would be great if they didn't have attitudes. I have consistently gotten a good burger here, thats the only good thing I really have to say.

So the family and I ate here again last night. We arrived around 6:15 and were the only party in the place. By the time we left, there were about 7 tables full of people enjoying their grub. This visit I got the "$ Maker" burger. It comes with sauteed onions, cheddar cheesse, and BBQ sauce. I also got mayo, lettuce and tomato on it, after all...I got to start eating healthier. along with a side order of fries, I left full and satisfied. If you love the sloppiness of a roast beef poboy, you'll enjoy this burger. I had a nice little mess of sauce and onions left on my plate when finished with the burger. I like my burgers medium well. It was cooked perfectly. The kids split a chicken strip basket and still had some left over to take home in a to go box. They have a name for the sauce they serve with the chicken, although I can't remember it right now. I usually have to fight the kids for the sauce, it's also good for dipping your fries in. Service was good as always. Most of the time you can find the owner there bussing tables, delivering food to tables, or whatever else needs done. He always stops and asks how everyhting was or if you need anything.

The best burger spot in town...well, slightly out of town. But, not too far and way worth the trip. This homey restaurant is close to the Pelican Park Recreation area, so naturally pictures of youth sports teams cover the wall. This captures the essence of Mandeville as being the home town hot spot. Order at register and find your own seat quick, because this place can be packed if there's a tournament in town! Family fun, loud scene, and delicious burgers make this spot the best burger shop around. Don't question it, just go! Plan on getting a little messy too. These big ole burgers come super cheap, I'm talking like $7-$10. All of them are good, I've tried like half the menu by now. Definitely a north shore staple!

I li,e this place because it is close to my house. A bit noisy at times and you have to be willing to brave little league teams on the weekends when it is sports season. Large menu to choose from. Great chicken sandwiches and huge burgers! A good little dive!

This review is of their burger. I think that's fair since they claim it made them famous. The meat is fresh, although worked a bit too much. The burger is pressed too thin to cook properly at the temperature of their grill. I ordered medium rare and got as close to it as they can muster under their kitchen conditions. I was the only one in the place and it came out in less than five minutes. It's not a race. Turn the grill down. The bun is a standard kaiser roll type. Not buttered or toasted, just slapped on the plate with shredded iceberg and one tomato slice. The menu says dressed also includes mayo, which didn't make it onto mine. Yellow standard food service cheddar. To sum up: Not terrible, but not good. I'm sure they have some good things on the menu, but nothing strikes me as something you couldn't get at Times Grill, Chimes, Acme, pontchartrain poboys, or 50 other mom and pop, strip mall, seafood and sandwich type places around here. Their location near pelican park keeps them alive, I'm sure. And when your main business is little league teams and coaches who pile in all at once, I guess you gotta crank them grills up and get it out!

Very consistent with the quality of their food. This is one of my favorite places to eat for a quick stop. Great salads and delicious sandwiches and burgers. I've never been disappointed coming to this place, which states a lot given the fact that I've been coming here for years. If you're in the area and the place isn't packed, be sure to pop in and have a bite. You won't be sorry!
