Yumm!!! Great salads, poboys, hamburgers and fries.....all that and ice cream too! The only thing I would suggest would be if you get a salad have them put the dressing on the side. I eat salads for their low calorie count... So when they pour on too much dressing it defeats the purpose (although it certainly is yummy)

I enjoy the food here. On this last visit I had the single decker club sandwich which was really good along with the garlic and herb fries which were also really good. It was $9.95. Not TOO bad. My sister had a cup of potato soup, a single decker club with a tea to drink and hers came out to right under $20. $5.95 for a cup of soup and $2.50 for a tea! All I can say is wow! They do give you a free ice cream cone though and the ice cream is really good!

Service is okay considering you order at the counter and then they bring it to you. One of the best veggie burgers I've ever had!

Crawfish Queso outstanding ! Anything that we ordered fried was VERY OVERCOOKED. Cashier/Waitstaff were less than excited to be at work the day we went and it took a substantial length of time standing there waiting for the cashier before we helped.

Hamburgers are tasty. French fries are great. Free ice cream is a real plus. $6.99 for regular burger and fries. Just like most places, preformed frozen patties. Much tastier than most places. I would go back.

Ordered take out, got home and wrong poboy was in the bag. Went back to get the correct poboy and when I got it home the fried green tomatoes weren't cooked properly and the breading was still raw. Won't be dining from here again.

This is a decent Cajun spot. Not quite the extreme flavor's you find in New Orleans proper, but a good substitute. The appetizers are great. It appears that there is no waiter until after you order your food and seat yourself. Then he pops up and handles your drinks. I wish I had known that before I came so that I could have brought cash for him. Even though he doesn't do much.

Ordered boudin balls = worst ever tasted! Red beans & rice - taste frozen reheated and never cooked right in the first place. Catfish po boy was awful also not cooked right. Will not be back.

Our first time ordering to go at this chain and we got a lot of food for what we paid. We had two gumbo, one cup and one bowl. The cashier told us that the cup was 5oz and the bowl, 10oz. When we got home, the cup had no shrimp but the bowl was chockablock with shrimps. We also had the bayou pasta and the creamy sauce was just right and not too thick. Again a generous amount of shrimp and crawfish. My order of blackened fish sandwich was well seasoned and delicious with onions, lettuce and avocado. Took a star off as they forgot to pack paper napkin and disposable cutlery.

New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood company offers great food at reasonable prices. Upon entering, you place your order at the counter, get a number and pick your seat. Drinks are self serve as is the post meal soft serve ice cream dispenser. On our most recent trip we ordered a guacamole burger and a roast beef po-boy. Both items come with their garlic fries which are pretty good. The roast beef po-boy was good but the bread had sesame seeds. My po-boys don't need seeds. Hamburgers need sesame seeds, not po-boys. The burger was properly cooked and loaded with guacamole. It was very good. Other highlights of their menu include catfish (thin or thick fillets), the 100 shrimp po-boy, and all types office po-boys and burgers. Their food is consistently good. Service has been good, but for the most part you make your own drinks so the server really just brings your food to you. There is nothing wrong with this method, and it works well. I never know what to tip at a place like this so I went ahead and tipped my usual 20%, but felt strange about it. If your in the mood for a good reasonably priced meal, you will not be disappointed here.

The guys working the front were helpful and nice. The restaurant was clean and in order. I purchased the "Southern Thing" and enjoyed every bite of it. The green fried tomato was a nice twist on a poboy.

I ate here and go the shrimp platter, which was excellent. My fiance got a catfish and shrimp platter, which was really excellent. The fries that came with the seafood was extra tasty too. The staff was friendly, and if we're back in the area we will return.

Me and my husband ate here on our way back from Hammond - our first time at NOHASC and we were really pleased with the food and the service - My husband got the seafood platter and it had 6 different items for $20 and was enough for 2 people - I got a club sandwich and side salad for $10 and both were very good , also a side of fries and those were amazing - we tried the teas but they were not fresh and had gone sour so we chose soda instead - my husband also got a Gator bites appetizer with pepper jelly - I don't eat gator but tried the pepper jelly and was amazing - The free soft serve cones were a surprise , how often do you see a restaurant give anything for free ? - and it wasn't that offel ice milk mix , it was real soft serve - we will visit again with friends and family -

It took forever to order, as there was only one guy working as both the cashier and bartender, and he seemed stuck in slow motion. Even though there were only two parties ahead of us when we arrived, it took about 20 minutes to get to the front of the line to place our order. The food was good, though, and follow-up service was fine. Ambiance felt like a TGI Friday's. If you like that, you'll be comfortable here.

A Cajun theme Rest. The thin fried catfish with onion rings were good. But the $2.50 for a soft drink I thought was ridiculous! The hamburgers looked great but a little pricey. Everything on the menu looked good! We were there early before 5:00 pm and it was great!! We walked in they were friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and choose your seating. You get your own drinks. But we took our menus to the table to look over since it was our 1st time there and the waiter answered our questions about the menu and was exceptionally helpful and nice and even invited us back for the Mardi Gras Parade!!

Right around the corner consistency. All the food is good, the service is always pleasant/attentive and you know exactly what you're gonna get when you enter the door. Can't really say that for all the froo-froo places out there.

It doesn't matter if they served cardboard, the fact they were the only non-fast food chain open on Easter Sunday for me and my son as we camped down the road gives them all the stars. Bonus, the service was excellent and the food a step above fast food. You order at the counter then they bring it to you when it is ready.

Classic New Orleans seafood and burgers. You'll enjoy any of the burgers they offer. All come served with garlic herb fries. My favorite is the Rajun' Cajun burger. It's got peppers, peppers, peppers and pepperjack cheese. It' will blow your colon apart. The shrimp poboy and the catfish poboy are always overstuffed. I even ate half of a veggie burger last night that was suprisingly not that bad. If you like burgers or fried seafood, you will definitley like this place. One drawback is there is no Lagniappe Bar like at the other locations, but there is free soft serve ice cream for dessert. Speaking of locations, contrary to their name, you won't find one location actually in the city of New Orleans. Lunch can be pretty chaotic. I arrived around 11:45 one day with a group of 8 from work. Most of our one hour lunch was spent waiting for the food to come to the table. Most of us had to leave with to go boxes and finish back at work. Price range that I gave ($11-$30) is based on one person ordering an entree and drink, tax and leaving a tip.

Love their salads. This time had the Pontchartrain salad. Last time strawberry fields. I know it sounds just wrong to get a grilled chicken salad at a seafood restaurant, but they do these right!!!

I was very disappointed in this place. Very overpriced for very average food. $11.95 for Mushroom Burger is a bit extreme. $2.50 for a glass of tea. It's a fast food setup (order and pay at the front counter, fill your own drinks) although they do bring the food to you. It's just a bit of a shock to hear a cashier at a fast food place to ask you to fork over $35 for two people. The garlic fries were pretty good, and my wife's burger was decent, but my thin catfish was soggy or tough as leather depending on the piece, and the shrimp were very average. My meal came with two pieces of toasted bread that were so tough I could hardly chew them. With all of the options with better food at the same or more reasonable prices, I would stay away.
