Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

Can I order the bread and cinnamon butter for takeout? YUM. Great service, and even though it was packed for Mother's Day, we only waited a few minutes. Every time someone would help us, they would tell me "happy Mother's Day." That was a great touch and a good management reflection. The only reason I took away a star is bc the chicken fried steak was a little thin (but tasty) and the table they sat me, my husband, and my three year old in was for two people. We understood and didn't complain bc it was SO busy and we didn't have a long wait. The green beans, Caesar salad, and loaded baked potato were fantastic! (But where are the chives, Texas Roadhouse?) We will be back!

My family and I love Texas Roadhouse. This one gets a mixed review from me. We called ahead for seating. We only had to wait about five minutes after arrival. The food was good. The drinks were good. I swear I smelled the smell of urine walking in the front door. Fortunately, that impression was not lasting. The entire restaurant was coated in peanut shells (more than normal, and that says something for a restaurant that has so many peanuts). The tables are tight. The pails for peanut shells are wedged under the pails with the peanuts in them, and the rust on them is intense enough where it's hard to separate the pails. Our waitress seemed somewhat overwhelmed. There were issues with the kitchen keeping up with making enough rolls for people to have them when seated. All that said, we had our usual favorites, and our waitress was really trying hard. We'd return, but I have been to better locations. So... three stars. Not a runaway rating, but still a passable rating.

My husband and I decided to try Texas Roadhouse. The place were partially crowded, but for some reason we were escorted and seated to the rear of the restaurant right outside of the "Outhouses (restrooms). I asked why, and was told by the hostess, she didn't know because she was not in charge of tables and seating. Finally our little unfriendly and rude waitress came, and I still don't know her name, she didn't introduce herself. She was very dry and very little help. Only answered what was asked. I don't want to seem paranoid, however, she seemed to be more open and attentive to other customers around us. I think she may need more training in racial relations. We left her 15 percent tip, but I we won't go back, We prefer to go where our money is more appreciated. I must say the hostesses at the front entrance were friendly, they greeted us as we entered and thanked us when we left. It's amazing that the one that serves you makes it an unpleasant dining experience.

Well this was first time coming I called 3 hrs in advance had kids and family, when we got there was told we made our arrangements to much in time , after that was told we had to wait even though we called in advance that will be last time I even go there again the hostess told me to wait we asked time she said we don't know ,, I traveled across the United States, I live here and I'm sad to say this is worst ,, and I say again 3 hrs in advance was to much time showed up 30 min early and was greeted with no courtesy, I took my family and my brothers family to logans road house in Lafayette, la we were seated and served. If I had 4 hands I would give them 4 thumbs down , logans is treating my family and friends with respect

This is one of my favorite, reasonably priced steak places in town. The down side is, lots of people in town feel the same way, so you should expect a wait if you don't use the call ahead seating option. The bacon cheese fries are great, though when split between two people they are still so filling, that they could be a meal on themselves. The steaks here are nice. They are hand cut, and I've only had them under cook it once (I asked for medium and got medium rare). The music is loud and country, so if that is a deal breaker, be warned.

Celebrating Moms 77th Birthday and Mardi Gras, so we were there when the doors opened at 4:00 They only had 3 servers, extremely slow and poor service. They advertise Budweiser beer in the bottle and draft and WERE OUT OF STOCK...on mardi gras day??? REALLY??? Complained to 3 different so called managers who each passed the buck.....after the meal we ordered the big brownie, they were OUT OF THAT TOO...we were there over 2 hours and would not recommend this place at all.....total disappointment

I came into this restaurant thinking I would get terrible service (it's a chain restaurant). That assumption was immediately put to rest when I was greeted by the manager at the front. Welcomed me into the restaurant and asked my family if we've been in there before. Once seated we got excellent service with good attitude. The place was super busy but was still waited and attended to promptly. The food was excellent and loved the environment! I've been back 4 times since in the last month! Will be back TX roadhouse.

I went to this restaurant for the first time for my friend's birthday. It was really great. The food was good and the service was awesome. The place was PACKED when we were there but I never once felt neglected. Our server was really good and I feel like the staff did a great managing that many people.

Here are my pros and cons below from my previous visit. Pros: - Friendly Staffs, Good Environment to Dine out. Cons: - Steaks & Ribs were so dried it tasted like cardboard - Food overall taste salty - My Waitress asked " Would you like cheese on your mash potato?" , " Would you like onion with your steak?" We answered no to both, however; we got everything on our plate, what the point of asking. Overall Summary: - The best thing I tasted was their complimentary bread.

Its in a good location, easy to find, as always, great staff, the waitress was decent this time (they vary from very bad-very good at times) The food, its a chain restaurant, so expect chain-like food. Decent steak, for decent prices. Basically the same as every other Texas Roadhouses.

The chicken fried steak was thinner than a McDonalds hamburger patty. The beer was not cold. The appearance was dirty. The service was not friendly or enthusiastic.

Everything was so good The BBQ Chicken and Ribs combo is the best I highly recommend the loaded Mashed and Sweet Potato sides. The staff is always so friendly. The price is awesome you will not leave hungry

Sat at bar for pre-6PM Dinner special - $8.99 for a solid meal with great service at the bar. The food, its a chain restaurant, so expect chain-like food. Decent steak, for decent prices. Basically the same as every other Texas Roadhouses.

It was the first time my husband and I came to this restaurant I've heard from others that the food was very good and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Needless to say we were seriously disappointed with the service we received. However I have to say that the good was great. Here's the problem it was extremely hotttt in this restaurant the air conditioner was broken and the staff member was honest enough to tell us this he/she (good job waitress you were nice to us) told us that the AC has been broken for a month now and the manager is aware and that other customers have been complaining also about this problem. How could a place of business run like this they are not telling customers this at the door we didn't find this out until after we waited 45 minutes to be seated and had already ordered appetizers and our Entrées. It was so hot when we received our Entrees we couldn't eat we had to take togo plates and leave felt like I was going to faint. The ppl at the table next to us were also complaining that they should tell customers this before you even get seated. The staff member also told us that the AC repair cost like $40,000 to fix and the manager hasn't repaired it yet guess he has no money. That's bull**** as much money and business this restaurant gets shame on the owner/manager. Paid full price for our meals and couldn't even enjoy our food WE WEREN'T EVEN OFFERED A DISCOUNT OR ANYTHING. Didn't even see the manager around. How could the workers even work in these conditions. Close down until you fix the air conditioner what your afraid the loose money$$$$$$!!!! Had Ceiling fans own that was the only air circulating in the restaurant. By the way out visit to Texas Roadhouse in Lafayette,La was recent on Saturday (8/09/2014). Yes we are from this area in case anyone's thinking we are from out of town. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS CHECK THEIR AIR CONDITIONER STATUS BEFORE GOING OR AS AT THE DOOR!!!!!

We love to eat here. The food is always predictably good. I love their grilled salmon. my favorite entree is the BBQ baby back ribs....oh so good! Hubby always orders one of their steaks, loves to pick his out. Yes it is a chain , but very good none the less.

Not very good food, unfriendly service. The only winning aspect was their complimentary bread.
