Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

You've got to try the Dupe Pizza! It's a great thin crust pizza with mini shrimp! Get a medium because the price of a small just isn't worth it. It's a little more expensive than your average pizza joint but if you're in the mood for something a little different then it's really good.

If you're from the area you know there's nothing like Pizza Village. It has its own uniqueness that has been around for many many years! Their recipes are tried, true, and tested. For those that like draught beer, they have a pretty good selection and the beer is ALWAYS cold. Especially if you get it in a frozen mug. Your beer will ice up. The salads here are beyond filling. Not to mention they're very good as well!! The pizza selections are pretty cut and ldry but once you've had them, you will always come back for that certain one time after time. Service is usually pretty good. The promptness can be a little off at times.

The pizza is fantastic. Hell, even the cheese pizza is jam-packed with flavor! There are vegetarian and vegan options, as well as salads for those on a diet. If you're looking for a pizza place that's like no other, Pizza Village is it.

We went today for the first time. 1:00pm Saturday afternoon, there was no wait and they seated my family of 7 immediately. We had several pizzas, Atchafalaya, Garden, Cajun and the meat eater(no cheese...allergy) and one son had the kids spaghetti. Everything was perfect, hot, crispy and delicious! We will be back!

If you like New York style pizza, then you'll love Pizza Village. Starting with traditional toppings such as tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, with your choice of toppings, over a thin hand-tossed crispy crust and light on sauce, they have perfected this technique here in Bayou Country. Though the restaurant is new, large, and comfortable -even with a small outdoor dining section- I usually prefer picking it up using the convenient drive-thru window. Be sure to order ahead if you do too. The pizza is excellent, the price is right, and the staff is friendly-- thus the five stars.

Great salad. Order small and share. Pizza has thin crust. Very good. Recommend the place.

Can't ever go wrong here. Toppings covering every inch of the thin-crust pizza. Must try the Dupe Special (pepperoni, shrimp, sausage). This is their 2nd location and has a bigger menu (poboys, sandwiches & a few more appetizers) than the original location on Moss Street.

Try the Achafalaya pizza - it's delicious! This place was packed on a Sunday night! Glad they have a drive thru!

If you like the old location, then you will equally like this one. No frills, no gimmicks, just really good pizza and ice cold beer. There are numerous TV's, so you can catch whatever game you prefer. There is also a bar at the new location. Just a heads up, the salad may as well not be a salad. Do NOT order this expecting something healthy. Although it is one of my favorite things on the menu, it is little more than a load of shredded ham and cheese, shred lettuce, and olives. Plan on sharing this! One great thing is that the kitchen will let you split your pizza in half, meaning you can get a half Landry Special/Half Supreme, or something to that nature. All in all, I really enjoy this place, although I can't say it is my "go-to" pizza place in Lafayette. Definitely give them a shot!

We went there with my mom from our of town and my husbands grandson and my nephew. I have been to the original location before and thought we would try the new location closer to our home. We ordered, waited over an hour for the pizza to come out and when the waitress sat it down on our table there was pieces missing from the whole. The waitress said she bumped into something and part of our pizza slide off. Sh said they decided to bring it to us instead of making us wait and they were making a small pizza to make up for it. We were all shocked and didn't know what to say, the boys were hungry and began eating. My husband just couldn't eat h felt they sat it down at another table and other people had been served our pizza by mistake and then it. Was brought to our table. They did bring out a personal pan size pizza that she had mentioned earlier not even a full size pizza! Eventually. Manager approached to see how everything was. When my mother told him not so well and explained what had occurred he took our ticket nd said he was going to go find out what had happened. He came back and said he took the one pizza with missing slices off and said he confirmed her story that their resturant didn't have any "funny business" going on there. While at least he addressed the issue I do not feel the entire situation was handled appriotely and my family will not be returning! There are far too many good resturants in this town to worry about what happenes to our food before it arrives to our table!

The original Pizza Village is a childhood favorite of my boyfriend's. We were tickled to death with the location on Kaliste Saloom opened! I love the flavor and crispiness of the pepperoni. It tastes SO good. And I love the Barney or purple gator - I've heard it called both, but it's a mix of Abita's Purple Haze and Andy Gator. And best of all, I love those cold beer mugs that just keep coming. We usually sit at the bar and have great service. The pizza takes some time to cook, so come when you're not in a rush.

Great pizza and a wonderful staff. Owner really knows what his customers like and ensures that service and food are spot on. If you are a pizza lover (Aren't we all) Do yourself a favor and stop here and eat.

First place we ate in Lafayette. The pizza is OK, not exceptional. Seems like a nice place for groups of people, and everyone was friendly, but with better options in the city, there is no real reason to go back.
