I absolutely love Noodle House. One of the few places in Lafayette where you can get pho (noodle soup). You will definitely crave this soup for days afterward! You can get it with pretty much any kind of meat &/or seafood. Very fragrant soup. And oh-so-yummy! The Thai Crispy Chicken is another great dish to try. It's perfectly fried chicken chunks seasoned with lemongrass and thai chilis, served with cucumbers, sugar snap peas, and rice. Lovely hole-in-the-wall restaurant!

Been here a couple of times for lunch and the food is mediocre. I was craving for some pho so there's not that many choices in Lafayette for Vietnamese foods. It was pretty expensive for a small bowl of pho. It was around $9-10 and it didn't even taste good. The pad thai was nothing to rave about either. I probably won't be back here for the Vietnamese or the Thai food.

I followed my yelp here for lunch. It was hard to find, that is correct. This is a short review, because I just had a bowl of Pho. It was a very typical bowl of Pho, but the broth ended up being very bland. It really had no flavor at all. I can't really give them a bad review, much of the other food looked good and the prices were right, I just can't recommend the Pho.

Not as good as Saigon Noodle but still very good pho. The broth wasn't very flavorful but you certainly get enough condiments to add to it. People are quite friendly and our server spoke excellent English. I would suggest that they play real Thai or Vietnamese pop music instead of the local radio station if they want to improve on the atmosphere aspect. There is no alcohol served although you are welcome to bring your own with a $5 cork fee. No need for alcohol though with the delicious Thai Tea they serve.

The best and only place to get Pho soup. The people are so nice and OMG the best Pho soup. Best flavor and large portions are the best. 5 stars but I would give them 5000 if I could

Went here recently and tried the following items: - Spring rolls: these weren't that great, and were somewhat dry - Wonton noodle soup: the wonton soup was lacking really bad, it felt like it came out of a instant noodle package, seriously. I never had a wonton soup this bad in my life, anywhere..

To start we had one order of pork spring rolls, and one order of chicken spring rolls. We like the chicken over the pork. Pork was too dry. Left a chalky feeling in your mouth. So my advice, stick with the chicken. Also if it's your first time here, the drinks come in cans. Water is ok. I had number 40. Which is the house made pork bacon in bean sprouts. It was great. If you ever had lichon kwalia from the Philippines, it is close. I am now graving it. My co worker had number 18. The beef larb. His such was amazing. I loved the freshness of this dish. On our next visit, we are going to ask them to put the pork bacon from 40 into the larb from 18. That would be legendary. I hope this helps your guys.

I will be brief. This place buh--lows. Why you say? - The place is a dump. -$9.95 for a bowl of Pho --- when the same (actually much better) bowl can be had at Saigon Noodles for $6.25 - Crappy and unpleasant watitresses - $3.00 for a side of steamed rice... seriously? Its $1.25 at Saigon Noodles and free at Pimon Thai. Why I even give this unpleasant dump two stars is beyond me. Do yourself a favor... go to one of the above mentioned places for your Asian food in Laf.

Great staff. They remember what we like as regulars. Always nice to the kids. Love the food. Fried rice, Asian chicken, soups, and Thai dishes are always good.

I used to go to Noodle House regularly when I lived in Lafayette and I still try to make it every trip passing through. This food is world class, as far as I'm concerned. I would, however, like to clear something up -- as far as I know the owner of this restaurant is from Laos and incorporates her native recipes into the cuisine here. So no, it's not authentic Vietnamese, but in my opinion it is even better and something original that one cannot find any other place in the United States. I used to get the combination mi yellow noodle soup of which the won ton's are the shining star. Also, the garlic oil on the table deserves 5 stars in and of itself. I wish I knew how to make this to keep at home.

Being Vietnamese and as pho is my favorite food, I would have to say this place disappoints. I don't think the owners are even Vietnamese. I would rather drive 2-3 miles south down Johnston to Driftwood Diner and get the pho there. The Spring rolls were good, but come on, you can't really mess up spring rolls. Having lived up and down California and lived in NOLA, this place charges way too much for their food. It should be a crime to charge so much for such mediocre food. There is no competition for Vietnamese food in Lafayette, so they are able to rob people blind. Again, go to Driftwood Diner. It's not the best pho, but it put's Maesone Noodle House to shame. Plus it's owned by a very nice Vietnamese lady.

The first time I went to Maeson I had heard a bunch of people rave about it. It is tucked very hidden away and not on the beaten path (even as it sits on Johnston Street). However, I was not impressed after my first visit. I wasn't offended, just not thrilled. It had been well over a year and I decided to try it again two nights ago. I went with a large group and was delightfully surprised to find my food extremely tasty. Perhaps I didn't know last time that they had tofu, I don't remember. Regardless, it is not stated on the menu that they have tofu much less that they will make anything for you vegetarian. I got the Pad Thai with tofu and an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were edible but by no means outstanding. They are cheap though and the sauces are very good. The pad thai was very tasty and with the large supply of spices on the table it was easy and nice to be able to spice it up to my delight! I also tasted the Pho which I heard was close to the best there. Again, delighted. In fact, I was so happy with my food I craved it for the next few days. This afternoon I called and got take out Pho and tried the spring rolls again (remember, they are like 2 bucks) and it was fantastic. Oh yeah, it's BYOB with a $5 cork fee.

Just had lunch here and man was it good. The bun salad always hits the spot. If that's not your cup of tea then grab a menu there are only a million items on it so I am sure you will find something that you like. Prices are not on the low side but it's good food. My friend got the seafood something soup and I ate some and she still took a full container home. It says for two but it looks like for six!!! Go hungry and get ready to get stuffed!! Enjoy
