This was my first time at La Madeleine and I wasn't exceptionally pleased. It wasn't bad at all, but I think all the hype made me expect something out of this world, which I didn't get. The service wasn't bad - the workers were knowledgable about what they were doing - but they weren't very friendly. The spinach pochette is VERY good, but misleading. It tastes just like spinach and artichoke dip in a very good and flaky bread. The crêpes here are yummy, but not authentic like they claim to be. I come from a French family and crêpes should be about 1/3 of the thickness they are at La Madeleine. Don't get me wrong, they were still good. I recommend this place for every once in a while, but not too often.

OK food, not great but good for a quick lunch. Sort of a chain atmosphere. The chicken friand was pretty good. Pastries are Ok but not great. The staff is VERY friendly and nice to deal with. It seems to me that the quiche in New Orleans site was a LOT better, but that could just be good memories of the Big Easy.

The pastry and bakery cabinets didn't offer much beyond standard fare. The chicken dinner was dry and would have tasted better had I just made it at home. The lines were long and the place was noisy.

Always great and yummy food every time I come. I've always had great customer service and consistently great food. I'm a big soup, salad and sandwich kind of girl. I love their ceaser salad and French onion soup. It's my go to meal to eat here sided with a yummy fruit tart. I have tried their breakfast items and have been satisfied with what I've had. The quiche Lorraine is most def one of my kids favorites and I have a picky eater. I'm kind of going quick on this review but there isn't much to say, it's one of my franchise faves and I'll continue to come back

So, slowly, the quality of the place seems to gotten worst over the period of time.. we go here every so often, but you can notice the change. The people are less helpful, they are more rude, and they are more lazy. Not sure if its the same staff, but they really need to pick it up again. I really enjoy the food here, but if its gets worst, I won't eat here again.. Now back to the food, decided to try something new. Came for breakfast, and was craving something french toast, so I ordered their.. - Cinnamon French Toast - raisin brioche topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream and maple syrup - it was so delicious and light, not overly sweet an the fresh fruits made it so delicious - French Chicken Pot Pie - Rosemary roasted chicken in a creamy sauce with tender vegetables and roasted mushrooms layered in a puff pastry - although decent, I prefer to eat my chicken friand Like I said, I really enjoy the food here, but if the service continues to get worst, I would be really sad.

We ate here for lunch today. One of the most amazing meals ever. We ordered Chicken LeMadeline. The mushroom sauce that came with it was probably one of the most delicious sauces I ever tasted. The staff was very attentive and the atmosphere very nice. They had classical music playing. It was very relaxing.

First off, let me say the atmosphere is pretty blah. I get that it's supposed to feel like an old French country restaurant. But, in reality, La Madeleine just looks super inauthentic, like a themed restaurant at Disney or Epcot or something. The food was a real let down. While the desserts were good, our entrees were reheated and meh. I liked my food just enough to finish, but not enough to ever come back for anything other than sweets. If you want fresh and authentic food, skip this place.

I have been to la Madeleine several times now & can say, without exception, that this place is an affordable, delectable haven of deliciousness. It's also set up in such a way that food is received quickly & paid cafeteria-style (before you eat), so if you're in a rush but want impressive food, this is a good option. This place gets so many things right! So far, I have had - & been blown away by - Chicken la Madeleine, Chicken Friand, Country French Breakfast, French Chicken Pot Pie & Beef Bourguignon. My favorite so far has been the pot pie, but let it be noted that breakfast, lunch & dinner are available from open to close. This makes me uncontrollably happy, as I could eat breakfast all day. There is also a nice selection of teas, including caffeine-free teas for us hyper people, which is a definite plus. The thing that really put me over the moon about this place is the fact that they happily substituted asparagus for rice, since I am not a rice eater. I normally pay extra for something like that, but not at La Madeleine! BIG perk for a gal like me. My only beef with la Madeleine is how sugary their pastries are. My favorite thing about French pastries is their buttery flavor rather than sugary-sweetness & I was hoping to find that here, but I did not. I have sampled the Mini Chocolate Almond Tart, Chocolate Macaroon, Mini Fruit Tart & French Vanilla Tart with Berries. So far, the Chocolate Macaroon is my favorite. Overall, a nice place to get some very good breakfast, lunch or dinner in a casual setting at a very reasonable price!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. I love the breakfast dishes here. Parisian Eggs Benedict are heavenly. The omelets are excellent also. You can add what you like into them. Atmosphere has a French country theme.

After trying the one in Baton Rouge I decided to try the one in Lafayette. The employees seem to be more engrossed in each other than the customers. I ordered the Pesto Pasta w/shrimp. This was okay nothing to write home about. Although it was well seasoned it was barley warm. I was so outdone with the staff that I just didn't have it in me to send it back. I may or may not back, that still up in the air for now. The BR location food was a lot better, with much better service.

Ate here today with my family and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I personally found the food to be really good and so did my family. Portions were about commensurate with the pricing. Atmosphere did have the "French Cafe'" feel to it. Will definitely be returning in the very near future. My advice to the owners and managers, don't get complacent!! Strive to continuously get better and you will prosper.

Amazing place. All my bridesmaids from out of town ate here every morning of our stay in Lafayette. The eggs, the bread, oh my gosh the pies!!! We were blown away by the quality of food and service. You must try the creme brule. The coffee was great too. Eat in or take out, you wont be disappointed.
