I was REALLY wanting to love Chipotle! There are so few places in Lafayette that offer no GMOs, or who are more concerned with health over cheap price. My first time going there last night, we were in a hurry and ordered take out. The young lady making our 3 dinners was too busy chatting with the 2 other young lady's standing around to pay attention to our food, so she mixed up two of the dishes. Switching things back is difficult at best with burritos! The manager did agree to replace the meals at a later time, but I am doubting we will go back. The meat was so super spicy that I couldn't even eat half of my salad, and I paid for that for the rest of the night. If you want healthy, try Panera, if you want delicious burritos, Izzos.

So glad that Lafayette has a chipotle now. Sofritas and Barbacoa are so delicious. Vegan friendly. Fast fresh service. Cool atmosphere. Friendly employees. Bang for your buck. You don't leaving feeling like you committed a bodily sin because it's a healthier option.

Stay away from the bowls, this location gives you about half of what all other chipotles does....weak

Pretty basic. Only place in town you'll find a vegetarian option more substantial than beans. They offer Sofritas, a seasoned ground/chopped firm tofu presentation as a "meat" filler. Brown rice and white rice, seasoned with lime. I wish they had lime eedges to go though. Get's a little pricey, and there is only one-size, but, I didn't feel physically overloaded after eating. Spartan wood interior is modestly pleasing. Hadn't had Chipotle in ten years since having them I. AUSTIN. Sort of felt like something had gone missing in the years since. I appreciate the emphasis on environmentally responsible pork production they're known for. Haven't seen the competitors offer anything comparable. Glad they've made it to Lafayette.

I'm from New Jersey and chipotle is huge up there. Down here it doesn't seem like it is. If you are dying for a burrito or bowl eat here but if you don't mind waiting to go to Baton Rouge to get your chipotle on, hold out. The employees will screw your order up (they love to load you up with salsa and give you next to no gauc) I've been to this chipotle multiple times too. There's a reason this chipotle is the only chipotle that doesn't have a line.

I've only been to this chipotle twice and each time there's an issue. The first time I went in you guys were completely out of guacamole and there were 5 employees behind the counter and nobody in the store. Therefore, there's no excuse. The second time you guys we're running "low" on steak so I barely had any steak in my bowl just vegetables. The employees didn't seem to care or even notice they gave me "extra tomatoes" as if that makes up for steak. I won't be coming here again.

I've been to many Chipotles and this one is easily the worst. The portions are half of what I receive each time I eat at one in DC. it's not even worth the money at this location when they only allow you one scoop of rice. I love chipotle but I will not be coming back to this location until the employees are trained better.

If you like hastily prepared quasi-mexican food.....where the bearded guy behind the counter doesn't wear a beard net....then this place is for you. A sub-par store for sure....doesn't do the brand justice.

I really enjoyed my steak burrito. The steak was tender and wasn't dried out. Even though they offer less ingredients than other burrito places, all the ingredients tasted fresh. It was lunchtime with no wait. The restaurant was clean. My overall experience was positive. I recommended this place and looking forward on returning soon.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
