If you want really good Greek Lebanese food at a low price this is your spot. It's s little restaurant inside a gas station but don't let that fool you. Outstanding humus and gyros. My favorite place around.

Best Lebanese/Greek food in Lafayette. Better than the sit down restaurant of the same name, and about half the price. 5 stars because it is the best under $10 meal in town, I believe. Fast and delicious.

I've been regularly ordering at this place since I moved to Lafayette over a year ago. I always get the chicken shawarma plate and it's so good. You get a salad, hummus, flatbread, rice, and grilled chicken that is shaved off the vertical rotisserie. The flavor is so good and can't stop eating it. Too bad it's not so cheap anymore since they've increased the dinner plates to $8.50, but I still come and order it anyway. Don't let the facade deter you since it's inside a gas station. It is Athena express but they do have some tables and chairs inside should you decide to dine in. I always order mine to go.

This was my first time at this location(3-30-13). We ordered the Athena's Dinner Special for 2 to go. It consisted of (Gyros, Chicken Shawarma,Beef and Lamb Shawarma, Hummus, Grecian dip, two kibby, two meat grape leaves and two feta salads). Yes it is located inside of a Citgo gas station. Don't let this stop you from trying this hidden gem. For under $20 dollars I really can't complain. The amount of food we got for 2 was more then enough. (Still have leftovers) The, Chicken Shawarma was ridiculously good. I could have eaten just that and would've been happy. The rest of the items were really good also. My only complaint is that the flat bread they provided was a little chewy. No problem I had some really good flat bread at home. Bottom line I will most definitely try this place again.

Athena Express is located in a Citgo gas station off of Kaliste Saloom. For a Greek & Lebanese restaurant in a gas station, their food quality is really good. I often eat here for lunch and I've yet to have a bad meal. Their prices are cheap, the service is quick, and the food is good. It's about what you would expect for a express Greek & Lebanese food place in a gas station. If you are with someone that is craving something other than Greek & Lebanese food there is also a Krispy Krunchy Chicken inside.

All I get here is the chicken pasta and the baklava. They are both very delicious.. but now the flavor lacks from what it use to be.. not sure if they changed cooks in back or what.

The gyro is fantastic! They shave they meat off of a large skewer like a Brazilian steakhouse. In a town with so many great restaurants, I can't go all the way to five stars. If I lived there, this would be a regular lunch spot. I order the gyro pasta. It was big enough to have for lunch and dinner. My lunch mates were eyeing my plate jealous like. I think I made the right choice.

Our family loves this place, unfortunately it is just a gas station with a few tables to sit at. The gyros are the best I have ever had, and I'm including comparison to places in NYC and Philadelphia. They put a ton of meat on the sandwiches. There is no way even a large man could eat the entire meal and be left hungry. The chicken pasta is awesome, the portions are huge. Have never gotten anything bad here. A definite must try!
