We came here on a Friday night for my sisters birthday. We had a party of about 20 people. It was not busy at all but that could be because it was July 3rd. Our servers were very attentive and courteous! The chips and salsa, YUM. It's a bit spicier than most places but it was great! I'd come back just for the chips and salsa I ordered the guac, ($6) it was very under seasoned. After adding a little bit of salt to every bite, it tasted MUCH better. My sister ordered the steak and shrimp burrito, the sauce was great! It was only something that I could take one or two bites of. Way too heavy a meal for me at night. Her boyfriend and my husband ordered the tuna tacos trios. ($17) My husband ordered it without the cream sauce and he liked the way they seasoned the tuna. My sisters boyfriend seemed to enjoy his the way it was intended. I ordered the ahi tuna salad ($16) , I did love this salad. The dressing was warm which I loved even more! My little boy ordered on the kids menu and when we received his nuggets and rice ($5) it was so tiny for a child to eat. Idk how it tasted but he did finish the chicken. I only gave them 4 stars Bc I found the prices were $1-2$ over what I thought I should pay. Our ticket in the end was $50 before tip. We had the guac, ahi tuna salad, tuna tacos trios, kids nugget and 2 lemonades. Overall, I'd come back mainly Bc of their salsa. The food was good :) happy belly, unhappy wallet

Impressive and different! I only review restaurants after I've been there twice and this one is definitely worth the second trip. It's not your typical mexican faire but it's all the better because of it. You have to get the flaming queso! It's always nice to have a little showmanship with your dinner and this delivers. Kids menus are available so if you are in the mood for mexican with a twist, this is the place to go!

Absolutely amazing....food was over the top the flavors were very very good! The frozen margarita was the best I've ever had.....dinner for 2 for just under $25! I would say this is the best kept secret in Lafayette....quiet atmosphere and quick service....I will definitely be back

I could not find a flaw with my meal apart from the fact that they had to roll me out of there... I chose 3 specialty tacos in which I added steak shredded beef and chicken... Amazing, especially the way the steak was prepared. I went with the mango and pineapple margaritas which were nice(if you like frozen). Side of the patatas/spinach and boom!.. Satisfaction. Was kind of empty for a Thursday night but for their sake I hope it's cause the place is real new.. Cause the food was amazing! Great service and nice modern clean feel inside. Parking is also ample. Considering I've lived in Dallas and I can't find anything this good I was quite happy. Similar feel to Taco Lou in Jacksonville beach. Well done guys!

This place really IS seriously good. I had the pineapple salsa, black bean dip (oh man this was good), Pom Pom margarita (yum), grabbed me two tacos with grilled pineapple, jala's and one shredded chic, one carnitas... And a side of creamed corn (if you get rice or beans, you're a fool). Go here..... NOW! Great service too!!! Young, hip and Genuine to this 47 year old.

Would highly recommend this MX restaurant. Everything was fabulously fresh and delicious! Table next to us had the flaming queso which was delivered to table literally in flames! When asking the waitress about the unique appetizer, she quickly brought us a sample to experience. Awesome!

Unlike other Mexican places, Acme serves up light, refreshing and healthy options. This is a Mexican place you can eat at for lunch without crashing afterwards. My husband and I each got the 2 tacos and a side. We barely finished them. The salsa was awesome, obviously homemade. I am not giving 5 stars because of the server. He was inattentive. From the time he set our food down until 10 minutes after we were done, he did not return to our table. We had to flash him down to get a check. Other than that we had a great experience and would definitely go back.

Food was good, service was fast. Our server was a bit cold but not mean. Now the dessert was freaking fantastic!! Simple fried donuts with dipping spaces topped the meal off.

Stopped by for lunch when out of town on business. For me, getting tacos anywhere outside of Texas or California is a shot in the dark. Showed up right when it opened. Clean. Good seating. Could be fun for later drinks and snacks after work. I got the 3 taco and a side platter, couldn't finish so could have done with 2. The carnitas was really dry but the buffalo chicken was flavorful. Not as many flavors as I'm used to, but it hit the spot. Was impressed with the spinach/potato side. Quite good. Compared to the seafood and fried food in the area, the price and experience was a good change of pace.

OK tacos at best. I ordered four tacos and two sides. The waitress failed to tell me that a certain side cost extra money (and it was not indicated on the menu). Order took an eternity.

Trendy Mexican Food in a Yuppie Atmosphere This is *not* Taco Bell ! ... and that's a good thing. If you like Mexican food, and consider yourself a "foodie" (or a "yuppie"), you're probably going to like this place. The menu offers items which put more of a high-end spin on Mexican restaurant standards. For example, you'll get shredded beef rather than ground beef as a meat option for tacos, enchiladas, salad, etc. The service is good. The restaurant is clean. The atmosphere is, well, kind of "yuppie-esque," which is not exactly my taste, but it is what it is. We've never had a bad meal here. For "different" Mexican food in a "different" atmosphere (definitely not your stereotypical Mexican or Cajun restaurant), I'd say this place is a pretty good bet.

This is a great place to rethink traditional Mexican. Try as many of the salsas that you can. Go with a dicerning palate. It will not disappoint.

It was quite a bit of fluff and not a lot of flavor. I was expecting an explosion if flavor with the new twist on the tacos. Quite disappointed. The additional a salsa aren't worth the extra dollar the free one is the best. I did like the Quattro queso maybe one of best quesos ever. It alone made this a 3 star bcaa ur I wasn't impressed with the entrees.

The free water and complimentary chips and salsa were good. Sat for 45 minutes waiting for our food. We asked the waiter what was the hold up and he said they lost our ticket. We asked to speak to the manager but apparently he was too busy to speak to us. He said we could come back later if we would like to talk to him. He can wait on that. Will never visit this restaurant again.

I keep hearing about how great this place is, and would love to be able to leave a review about their food, but I've been there 3 times now during the hours of operation posted both online and on their door, and all 3 times they've been closed. I'm not sure when they're actually open, or why they're constantly closed during posted hours of operation, but I haven't managed to have an actual meal here. I can understand having to close early once in a while for extenuating circumstances, but after the third time it's just inconsiderate to not even post a note or something on the door explaining why they're closed when they should be open. I guess they just don't want my business, which is unfortunate because I hear they have great food, as you can tell by the other reviews. Please let me in Acme Taco! I like tacos and I have money that I will gladly give you in exchange for them.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
