I was approached by the manager and was asked to fill out a comment card. Turns out this location is "in testing." They're trying out "new concepts." It was evident because the associate was lost on how to use the IPad to process my order at the register. I can't blame her, though. Seems like a great place. The sweet potatoes were great, considering I've never had any. The shrimp po'boy was a bit pitiful with the small amount of shrimp in it for the price.

By far the worst BBQ experience I've had in New Orleans. Extremely small portions for the price. BBQ shouldn't be weighed in front of you. Pulled pork was tender but lacking in true smoke flavor. Although the corn pudding was pretty good, it and the other sides seemed leftover from a previous day. All the sauces I tried were excellent and I would purchase them to use at home. I WOULD NEVER RETURN EAT BBQ HERE AGAIN.

Whoever allowed them to use the Voodoo name should be fired. My favorite brand of barbecue has now devolved into a bad school lunch line. Bad service was exceeded by something that was supposed to be pulled pork, that after one bite, not only did we not eat but wouldn't even give to our barbecue loving dogs.

Brisket + grilled veggies. Cooked awesomely. Lots of light and good service. Not bad for a quick bite after some Sams shopping...it's literally next to Sams.

I was super unimpressed with the restaurant. Although the cashier was very nice and the only person on staff that knew anything about the menu, she wasn't enough to make me even consider going back. The food was warm..... And not all that fantastic. Oh well......

Best thing here is the white chocolate bread pudding. That should tell you something..

Went there on Tuesday around 6:30 pm basically pre cooked food kept in a steam table after looking at the food in the steam table everything was dried out and uncovered, not very sanitary the employees seemed very disinterested manager sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant as he observed me enter and exit without making a purchase and didn't, seem to be concerned! I give them a year at best!

I expected it to be quite different than it is. I heard rave reviews from friends about seafood nachos at Voodoo BBQ. We get here...no seafood nachos at this location :(. My fiance ordered brisket sandwich and a beer. It doesn't come with a side, $11 something total for his. They do have a really great local beer selection, probably the best thing about this restaurant. The food is definitely over priced. I had a cheese burger and corn pudding. I'm pretty sure that corn pudding was made last week....the food is a lot more bland than it should be for a New Orleans style restaurant. Although the lady cooking was pretty awesome. She was polite and had a great attitude. I was going to give it two stars, but the manager or franchise owner or whatever he does, Greg Frazer did come and stop by our table and ask how everything was. We said OK. Really, it's just OK. I'm not dying to go back. But it wasn't awful. I'm glad he cares and wants to improve it. I think Mr. Greg should visit Bobby Hebert's Cajun Cannon on Veterans and take a few notes. Bobby's is expensive, but it's worth every single cent. Presentation and flavor are important. Also, if they could do away with the McDonalds style trays and clean your own table, I think it would be so much nicer, and their employees would get tips. Employees love tips!

This has to be a franchise!! Usually I get the 3 meat combo: ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. It comes with 2 sides. Well I went to order the 3 meat combo and the manager was like "what's the problem?, it's listed right there on the menu...". Well they (this location) took the ribs off, and replaced it with chicken, turkey sausage, and some other nasty sausage. Because of the line behind me, I said "something's not right, but for the 3rd item I'll take the chicken." The next girl tells me "what 2 sides would you like?, and you get a cornbread with that." I said "I'll take the corn pudding and the dirty rice." Those were the only 2 things I could see- everything else was hidden with Saran Wrap dripping condensated water into who knows what was under that wrap. Long story short, I had to pick the meat out of the dirty rice. It looked like chunks of meat that were sitting out overnight, and the "juicy" chicken was so dry I had to drown it in sauce to eat it. The guy at the counter got taken aback when I told him "if you had syrup instead of coke I could make a snowball with this ice." It was crushed so finely, if you took two sips out of your drink you needed a refill. Seriously-go there and depress the ice and you will know I am the truth. Hated to eat supermarket chicken (when they place it under 200 degree heat lamps for 6 hours. Then I get a $20 for this? Ugh. Go to the joint in bywater and get your money's worth. I always offer an alternative to the best in the end. Or if you don't want to go that far stop by SAMs club and get the pizza for $2. The 3-meat pizza is better than the 3-meat combo. Picadilly express lasted a year. I give this place 6 -12 with time served.

I gave this restaurant 2 stars, only because I think the pulled pork would be good if it was warm. Don't ask a server for a recommendation unless you want to hear, "whatever you like".

Food was good, a lil pricey but overall quality was good. Manager very friendly, even offered my daughter free desserts

I dont know why this place has such a low rating. The food was fresh and tasted home cooked. Service was fast and had recommendations on the food. Wonderful price and large quantity. I maybe spent ten bucks and had to request a to go box, because there was no way a normal sized person could finish all the bbq they gave me in one sitting.
