Donut Wheel is located in the old Kree Mee location which was an iconic burger drive-in for many years that I frequented in the 1970's. Lee the current owner purchase the building from the original owner Mrs Morgan who taught math at the local school for years. Lee has been making fresh homemade donuts for the past 20 years and has perfected the art of donuts. This is definitely a local favorite and the traffic mid morning was steady. Lee insisted that we wait 4 minutes so we could have a few fresh and hot donuts that he drizzled in a sticky sugary glaze that melted on contact and covered the wax paper tempting you to use your fingers to wipe it clean. After spending a few minutes talking he graciously offered up several fresh Kolaches prepared with sausage and jalapeño for the road you much stop in and enjoy the sweet and savory offerings as well as the conversation.
