After waiting 6 months for the crowds to die down, we finally went. We had to go early ( 4:45), to get a table! The food was good, but not great. Service was also good. The only issue I had was we had ordered an appetizer and not two minutes passed and our entree was there. We definitely felt rushed. Waitresses were very nice, to almost the point of being annoying. When we left, the people waiting were everywhere and we had to dodge out of the way. Too many people waiting, most wouldn't get out of the way, because they thought people would jump in front of them. All in all, fair to good experience. We'll go back when we get hungry enough to get there at 4:30 like early birds!

I don't enjoy giving bad reviews and this isn't what this is. I typically like a quiet dinner and quiet this is not. But that's just my opinion. Loud country music inside and out with a crowded dining area and turn-around time at record speed that the bench seats are still wet from the wipe down. Hey, at least they're clean. The call ahead system is a little confusing. I called earlier that day since our first attempt to eat here had a very long wait time. The nice girl who answered the phone said if I call at this time, our time to be seated is an hour from the call time. So I called again an hour before we planned on getting there. We arrived 30mins earlier that expected so I told the girl at the counter that I was early but was checking in anyway. She said I was good because I called 30mins before and that's how long before I can call anyway. Confused? Anyway, everyone was super nice and we didn't wait long. Our waitress made eye contact with a smile. Better than the service we got at Ruth Chris. Even one of the managers came around asking if everything was ok. Food was good. We both got a filet medium rare. I'm not much of a steak eater but it was ok. Loaded baked potato was good. The grilled shrimp on a skewer had a little too much black pepper I think. I literally spit it out like a kindergartener (the man friend's words). The peach margarita on the rocks with a test tube of Patrone was more that I bargained far since I was driving home afterwards. Sometimes I forget how gimmicky these places can be. I just wanted a peach margarita with Patrone. But I didn't read the menu correctly and got what they were promoting instead. We were in and out very quickly. I felt like this is how they can serve so many people in a night. Food is good, service is excellent, atmosphere is noisy and chaotic.

We decided to eat here with friends while my wife and I were visiting from out of town. We had 8 people in our party which is not an unusually large group. We tried to call ahead as they advertise but they would not put us on the list due to the size of the party. Strike 1 When we arrived, we put our name in and fortunately it did not take a long time to be seated. When we were taken to a table they split us up into 2 booths. The idea of going out was for us to enjoy a meal together. Since the booths were back to back that was not possible. Strike 2 When our waitress arrived she only took orders from one table since the other one was not in her section. This also meant that there would be 2 separate checks even though one person was paying. Strike 3 I asked for a manager as this should be an easy fix. When she arrived she explained that the checks could not be combined since there were 2 waitresses. They way they lay out the stations it is not possible to have 2 booths together with the same server. She offered to move us to a larger booth that she said would fit our group. It might have fit 6 but not 8 comfortably. All they have are booths, no tables that can be moved together. Strike 4 With this much inconvenience I would have expected some kind of accommodation but none was offered. Strike 5 If you have a party of 6 or more I would recommend going to a different restaurant as they are not set up to take care of larger groups and don't seem inclined to change.

The food is of great variety, quality, and flavor. The server was nice, when I was able to reach her. Unfortunately the entire staff is forced to dance on command for the amusement of management, much like the fools of kings' courts in medieval times. I was afraid a member of my party was going to die from thirst b/c we could not reach our server until hick song #3 finished playing. The music is very singular in genre'. If you are one of those over compensating jacked up mud truck types with prosthetic testicles hanging off of the back of your bumper, you should feel right at home. The country music was so loud, obnoxious, and unending that when we finished our meal I immediately drove to my first cousin's house and asked her on a date. When that failed, I instead doubled back to MLK to the Wal mart and bought myself a 10 inch belt buckle, leather boots, wrangler jeans, a flannel shirt, a cowboy hat, and 12 pounds of Skoal. I'm writing this from the lobby of John Deere. I've decided that I need to go back to Texas Roadhouse in full uniform, and the only thing I'm missing is a tractor with tobacco juice stains on the side.

I visited the brand spankin' new Texas Roadhouse in Houma for their soft opening. It was a real treat! The service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! We started out with hot so-straight-out-of-the-oven-it's-still-steaming bread. Their bread is made with honey so it is sweet and delicious! It comes with a cinnamon butter, which gets to be too sweet for me, so I asked for regular butter, which was not a problem. I ordered the 8oz filet, it was thick, tender, and cooked to perfect mid-rare temp. All of the steaks are cut by hand in house, so they are all good cuts. I want to have one right now, even though I already had dinner. I will eat this steak any chance I get. Because it was the soft opening, I did not get to take advantage of the choose-your-steak option, but when you go, make sure you take a peek into the window and stake (ha! get it?) your claim. I got to sample the onion blossom and smothered fries, both were great! Usually the batter on onion apps are either too soft or too crunchy, but this was just right. The dip was a perfect compliment! The steak fries were smothered in cheese (shredded cheese, not that goopy nacho sauce garbage) and bacon and were every bit delicious as they sound. The margaritas are out of this world! From my understanding, the recipe was created by Kent Taylor, using three different tequilas. They mix the margarita mix in house, not the bottled crap... Unless you get a fruity one, then I think they use the standard syrups. Unfortunately, TxRh does not take reservations, but they do have a handy Call Ahead Seating program. You basically call to add your name to the wait list. For example, if you call and the current wait is 60 mins, you arrive in 50 mins and only have to wait around for 10. However, if you miss your spot, game over. Still a better system than waiting around for an hour though. Another note, they're not really set up for large groups. If you have a party of 8+, expect to be seated at separate tables. Definitely give it a shot if you're around... you won't be disappointed!

I've waited a bit to write my review of roadhouse to give it a fair chance at balancing out from opening. Their call ahead seating program is a bit different than most I have encountered. You are given a code by phone to give to the hostess when you arrive, expediting your wait time. The catch is that your entire party must be present in order to be seated. The food here is your typical steak and potatoes majority. The 8oz Dallas Filet is my favorite entree item. The steaks are displayed out front by the hostess booth. The margaritas here are outstanding according to my husband who gets a couple every time we done here. My biggest pet peeve is since it's such a busy restaurant the servers do their best to rush you through your entire meal. Overall I enjoy the food here and the atmosphere. Hopefully it settles down after its no longer the newest place to have a sit down meal in Houma. I will return for my steak fix.

Upon arriving my husband and I had no problem with the wait to be seated. This was to be expected. We had an appetizer, bread, and a bottle of wine. We both ordered our meal with a side salad and got our salad before our entree as we requested. This is when it all took a wrong turn. I found a hair in my salad . This was not a long hair it was a short hair . It appeared to be a pubic hair to me. We asked our waitress to cancel our entries because we would not be eating them. Our waitress could not seem to understand why we would not continue to eat. The manager came to our table to let us know that the entrees would be taken off our ticket. I would only expect to pay for the bottle of wine myself. I guess I could have made big deal but I did not feel like I should have to after all there was a hair in my food. This is just bad business. We will not be returning to this Texas Roadhouse anyway. This was my first visit to any Texas Roadhouse. I left with a horrible first impression.

Arrived at 12:37 on a Saturday afternoon. Seated after approximately 30 minutes which is what I would expect for a restaurant like this. After getting seated, we got our appetizers in a reasonable amount of time. Its 2:11 now and our food still hasn't arrived. Waitstaff is polite and friendly, but be prepared to wait! Honestly, it doesn't look that busy here...

Went for an early dinner. Glad we did, we were seating immediately upon our arrival, wait staff was prompt and attentive. Food came out, main meal a little to quick as we weren't done our appetizer. Wife had prime rib and baked potato, which she enjoyed . I chose the ribeye and shrimp combo, shrimp were grilled perfectly, steak was cooked perfect but was a little fatty. When leaving there had to be 50 people waiting to be seated

Place looks great, however you will not be seated even if 90% of your party is presented. They have huge sign warning folks regarding the matter, however with the new popularity your wait time can dramatically shift if you have someone a few minutes late....disappointing.
