This is the best Chinese in Houma. And it's not a buffet so everything is made FRESH, yay :) The staff is friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. They even will make off menu items if they have the ingredients - for example I'm a vegetarian and even though they don't have tofu on the menu, they'll make it for me if they have it. If you're dining in and looking for "ambiance" there isn't much but the food makes up for it. My husband and I love this place and eat there once a week.

Best take out our done in in town. No buffet. Every thing is fresh and hot. Not a bad dish on the menu. Wonderful.

Gross. Chicken and broccoli was tasteless, egg rolls soggy and imperial chicken was so sweet you couldn't taste the spicy peppers. Hubby and I are getting to the point where we just don't go out for dinner anymore. Unless it's a chain restaurant there's just no consistency whatsoever ! Oh and shrimp toast? Uhm no... Deep fried WHITE BREAD single sliced. Shrimp were non existent !

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered the chicken Lomein and the chicken smelled bad. The rice was mushy and tasteless. The only thing that was ok was the egg drop soup.

If you're not a regular, don't expect to be treated attentively by the wait staff. The fried rice was "old." Looked & tasted like it had come out of a vat that had been cooked & sitting out for a few days. The Phoenix Shrimp (wrapped in bacon) was dry, shriveled & room temp. The Shrimp Lobster Sauce was a tasteless, globby mess. The chicken, corn soup was good. The big claim to fame is that they don't use MSG & their not a buffet. If the food is not prepared fresh, they may as well become a buffet.

This restaurant is HORRIBLE, worst Chinese food ever! I NEVER send back food, I had to at this place. Beef and broccoli tasted more like motor oil and some foreign type meat, who knows....then they had the audacity to charge us for it! Not to mention the owner was reprimanding the new really nice waitress in front of all of the customers for dropping a glass of water!!! How horrifying! Oh yeah fried rice sucked too, Yucko... I'll never go back to this place! I'd suggest you not either!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
