We were so shocked by the $33 /person price tag at a nearby seafood buffet, that we went with our second choice: New Orleans Hamburgers and Seafood. Looking back, we have never been so thankful that we went for plan B. The food here is phenomenal. From the thinly sliced catfish to the po boy sandwiches, they were colossal in taste and in size. I had the Raging Cajun burger, and the moment I bit into the burger I had to savor each bite. Patty was perfect medium and paired well with pepper jack cheese. The burgers were among the best I've had in the South, and the fries topped by garlic aioli were the perfect complement to the burger. They had all of us licking our fingers and mopping up every last bite. The free ice cream at the end is a nice touch, but we were already sold by the meal. Excellent food and easily edged out places like Chelsea's (Lafayette) and even the dinner places we tried at the French Quarter.

Excellent! They have the best hamburgers in all of New Orleans. However, after saying that be prepared. It's nearly impossible to bite into the burger due to how large it is, but it's well worth it and the price is reasonable ($10.81-total without cheese and it comes with your choice of fries or onion rings). The burger consists of delicious large, thick and juicy burger meat inside a large sesame seed bun which also includes two thick-cut slices of tomato, a thick slice of onion and lots of lettuce and pickles and your choice of condiments. The fries are large, but I usually get their tasty onion rings. Their drive-thru is fast and I live about three blocks from a Metarie location so I like to stop by from time-to-time on the way home from work and eat the meal at home. It's funny, but everytime I order one of their burgers I can't help but think of what an insult it is to the hamburger that places like Burger King or McDonalds and other fast food places offer (dog food on a bun). The shrimp basket is another story... Delicious, but a bit pricey if you get the onion rings to go along with it. Whatever you order I'm sure you won't regret it!

A local recommended the restaurant. There was a big group of us and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Big portions reasonably priced. My mom and I shared a seafood platter with the catfish, fried shrimp, fried oysters, crab cake, fries and slaw and there was plenty of food for the both of us. I would definitely go back.

This is a pretty nice joint. We had a big group from work so they blocked off an entire side room for us. Plenty of room to spread out. I like their setup. Upon entry, you walk up to a counter and place your order and pay immediately . That eliminates the hassle of splitting up checks at the end of the meal if you're with a group. That is my biggest pet peave. I had a buddy who used to order drinks, apps, surf & turf, dessert and more drinks. Then, after dinner, he'd want to just split the check in half. Uh, I had a glass of water and a burger. I don't think so. Anyway, I digress... I ordered the veggie burger and side salad. I know, not very manly, but at 40 years old, I can't just slam a cheeseburger and fries anytime I want to. I've got to ration out my splurges. I was pretty happy with the burger. Nothing that blew me away, but tasty nonetheless. They have a condiments bar where you can get your lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc before your sandwich arrives. Then, upon arrival, just build your sandwich to your heart's content. I believe it is worth mentioning that they have a FREE vanilla ice cream machine. Yea, I said free. Nice touch, New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Company. Nice touch. I'm also extremely appreciative of your 10% military discount. If I'm hanging out around Manhattan Blvd in the future, I'll definitely go back.

Great place for lunch. The speed of receiving my order was fast and accurate. The staff is friendly, though, today, my waitress didn't understand that I needed different sized and a certain number of to-go containers. I had to go to the cashier to get the containers I needed. Other than that, I haven't eaten here and had a bad experience.

This place is awesome it's one of my favorite places. The catfish Lafitte is amazing along with their charbroiled oysters and gumbo. You have to stop in and pay this place a visit

The thin catfish not only tasted amazing but it looked just like the photo. It was pretty for the eyes and awesome on the tongue. The servings were large. The fries were the best I've had in years. The garlic aoili on them just about made my night. As someone who uses ketchup liberally, I didn't need it anywhere on my meal so take that for the extreme compliment it is. The prices were reasonable for the serving size. The staff constantly checked in and were happy to fetch anything we needed. In addition, I greatly appreciated the staff's patience and friendliness as I lost my voice before going so they were fantastic with listening to sign language to get my needs across. Finally, the staff didn't stop cleaning our entire visit. Tables were cleared and wiped down quickly, they were sweeping, dusting and wiping whenever the customers didn't need anything. I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars.

This was a convenient lunch stop after my odyssey to Gretna for king cake. We placed our orders at the counter and took a seat in a yellow pleather booth. Our server greeted us right away and showed us how to use the tracking device on our table. (It let her know what menu items to bring to our table.) The TVs in our section of the restaurant were all tuned to "First Take" which made it hard to maintain conversation with my guy. We split an appetizer Crawfish Queso and Chips. It was good...as in...Google search for the recipe when you get home good. After the first bite I wished I'd ordered one of my own. Unfortunately, I think the City's Best Gumbo took the day off. The gumbo in my bowl was serviceable but nothing special. I usually enjoy the gumbo at the Uptown location so I don't know why it tasted different here. They should stick to the recipe. I probably wouldn't recommend New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood to someone seeking out a true New Orleans culinary experience. In a city with as much to offer as New Orleans, restaurant chains should be for the locals--or at the least for people who know this isn't the most authentic food New Orleans has to offer and just want a fast, casual dining option. I will say that writing this review is making me crave another bite of Crawfish Queso. Right about now I'd trade every Chili's, Applebee's and TGI Friday's in town for one New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood.

Great place to go for an inexpensive byte. They have a few locations throughout New Orleans, polite staff great quick service. They do have beer. Love their burgers and fries. Excellent seafood. Plenty of parking.

I was visiting from Texas last weekend and wanted to eat something that I could only get from New Orleans. It was pretty early in the morning and this place was the only thing open so we decided to give it a shot. Man did it change my life. I got the Bayou Pasta. Personally I hate pasta, all types of it (even spaghetti) but this place made it so perfectly that I inhaled my plate! I even hate shrimp, but it was SO GOOD. The bread that came with it was really good too. I've been on Yelp for years and never thought any place was worth making a review, but this is my exception. GET THE BAYOU PASTA. Coming from someone who hates shrimp and pasta entirely, but in love with this dish? Get it, you won't regret a thing.

Usually go eat here when I want some good fried catfish! but what I really LOVE is the crawfish queso I can usually eat 2 orders of it, they should really make it like a soul though it's that good!

One would think that most New Orleanians have tried this place at one time or another, so I'll just do a quick review. Pretty good portions, decent quality, consistent, and fast. However, the big down side for myself is that almost everything is fried. I wish they had more grilled and/or blackened options.

The food was overpriced and cold. Both boudin balls and roast beef po boys were cold. However, Customer service is fast and efficient.

Eh, I went here for the first time for my friend's birthday last night. It was just okay for me. Not something I'd go back for. I ordered a burger, the Big Western which was grilled jalapeños and onion with cheddar cheese. Meh. There was nothing "big" or even "Western" about it. There are two sizes, which I didn't realize, the classic and the deluxe. I was charged for the deluxe size burger even though I didn't order it. The girl at the cash register looked at me as though I was retarded for telling her to take it off my tab and order me a regular sized one. I asked her why did she charge me for a deluxe when I didn't even ask for it?! I guess they try and up charge you whenever possible and if you aren't paying attention... now they also have a "toppings" bar if you can call it that. It consisted of diced onions, pickles and wilted, sad lettuce. Yeah... Also VERY huge pet peeve of mine... if you have "hamburger" as a part of your name, please don't use frozen patties and don't overcook it either. My boyfriend ordered the Catfish platter. It came with catfish, 2 hush puppies, garlic potato wedge fries and coleslaw (yuck). I had a bite of the catfish and good grief, they must have used extra lemon in the batter. My lips instantly puckered up. The hush puppies were small and greasy- no thanks. The coleslaw was not happening. The wedge fries on the other hand were very crispy and yummy. They also drizzle on some yummy garlic butter sauce on the fries. Part of the reason for me giving them 3 stars- I love fries! You serve your own drink at the fountain (they actually have a lot to choose from) and there's coffee and soft serve at the end of the meal- which you serve yourself. 3 stars for the drink selection, end of meal softserve and tasty fries.

My friends always tried to get me to try this place but I judged and turned it down. Today I gave it a shot and .... I looved this place. Service was great. Potato wedges had some sort of garlic aoili-like sauce dripped on them, oven baked or fried to perfection.. ZOOOMMG. And the oyster Poboy was so good, well so good without the cabbage sub lettuce and BBQ sauce with sharp cheddar cheese. I can't even type this review right... That's how good it was, guys. Lol. Swiss mushroom burger with sautéed onions was alright but it doesn't matter b/c service and the food was really good!

One my fav places to eat, fast service and friendly waiters/waitresses. The general rule of thumb in New Orleans metro is don't eat chain food restaurants but this is THE exception. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I love the cowboy burger, but my favorite is to share the seafood platter with my wife and child. I one thing they don't have is soft shell crab. Don't worry about dessert, you can have all the soft serve ice cream you want. The fry is seasoned just right the potato wedges are heavenly done. Probably not good for my body but GOOOOD for my Soul! If you can't find something you like there's a problem.

Food was good but the service left much to be desired. The cashier (order food & drinks at the counter then find a seat) didn't know what drinks were included in happy hour, nor could she answer what came with certain menu items. Bottled beers came out after cocktails and almost the same time as our burgers. One persons order was about 5 -7 minutes later than everyone else's.

My favorites are the triple decker club, free ice cream, and onion rings. I highly recommend the decaf strawberry iced tea. The prices are high, but the food is good. Try the cowboy burger with grilled chicken.

When I saw that yet another restaurant chain was coming to the Westbank, naturally I rolled my eyes. I mean, between the Friday's, Chili's, and Zea's, Manhattan Blvd is becoming everything I hate about food in the suburbs. I was skeptical when this place I opened. I tend to steer clear of any restaurant with "New Orleans" in the name. If the food is good, the place doesn't usually have to associate itself with arguably one of the best cities for food in the country. But I digress. I have never had a sit down meal here. The two times I went, I got take out, but the food is the same either way, right? The first time I went here, I got the *thin* sliced catfish. I love catfish. If a place has fried catfish on the menu, most of the time I will give it a shot. They weren't kidding when they said that this catfish is thin. It's really thin. It's so thin, it probably more batter than fish. It came with fries, hush puppies and bread and was about $10. I think the thin catfish would be perfect for a lunch. The second time I went, I got the *thick* fried catfish, which is basically what you think of when you think of fried catfish. It was really good. It was lightly battered and had good flavor and came with the same sides as the thin fish. I was pleasantly surprised by this place and I would love to go back here and actually have a sit down dinner, just to see what the experience is like.

I tossed about giving this a 2 Star rating, but nothing was really "bad," so I went with this staple. There is a bunch of stuff on the menu - but it is all pretty pricey. You could find a lot of the same items for way cheaper in other locations. That said, the portions are pretty large, and the fries are really good. Plus, free ice cream - I am the type of person who will eat it just because, no matter how huge of a meal I have eaten or how gross I feel, that ice cream is going inside me. The burgers are big, and well cooked. The service is OK - except for the bizarre table card slot system. It's pretty needless, and if you slip that card in the wrong slot, you better believe you will look like an idiot when a waitress comes up and slides it around in three other slots in alternating order, like a complex game of service industry bop-it. All in all, it wasn't a bad meal. I probably won't be back, but I would stop short of telling someone not to go here. If I was making a recommendation to an out of towner on where to try some "New Orleans Style Food," I probably wouldn't send them here. If they wanted a good burger, however - I'd point them in this direction.

This place is perdddyy good! Service is always good, food is always good. I love that they have a drive-through for if you want good food but are too lazy to get out! Their veggie-burger is soooo yummy! Their shrimp-zilla po-boy is also really good and innovative. A score for the westbank!

Asian Shrimp and Abita beer....what's not to like. Service was quick and polite. The bar area is quiet and well kept.

If you like catfish, you can't go wrong with the Thin Fried. Even though you order at the counter, service is good. And you can't beat the free ice cream cones. Nice touch!

The good: The food was cheap, the menu featured all your standard New Orleans fare with a few interesting surprises. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the prices are a great value for the amount of food you get. The bad: One of my catfish filets tasted rotten. Seriously. The rest of the food was average but not great. Hence the two star review. Aside from the rotten catfish filet, I would eat here again. I have a feeling I will end up eating food from here again, since this place is a favorite with the inlaws. If I have a better experience next time, I will update my review.

The burgers portion is huge. It's good but can be a little on the salty side. Other than that everything I've tried here is good.

Left coaster here, so not quite sure what passes here in the area. That said, our party of 4 went with three different burgers and the seafood combo plate. Two sides of the garlic fries and one side of onion rings, Also two sides of fried green tomatoes. These were better than the Irondale cafe FGT of movie fame. All were pleased with size and quality of burgers, and the seafood combo was good. Nice beer and wine selection. An added bonus free soft serve ice creams! Close to our hotel, and not really that pricey, all in all thumbs up

Easy ordering followed up with fast, friendly N'Awlins hospitality. Servers checked on me, but didn't smother me. Portions (& Taste) were BIG! Visiting my hometown & now wondering how can I leave. Shrimp were fried "right", Roast Beef Debris was yummy, it all just came together on that French bread. I'll be back! *smile*

The price at this place is kinda ridiculous for the amount of food they give you. Their burgers are ok to say the least. Nothing makes them stand out, but their fries are awesomely good. I would only go here if a friend wanted to try it out, but never at my own will. The food isn't bad, but it's not all that great either.

Came here recently for lunch after being away from the area for many many years. Had been here in the past and looks like they have added to the menu and improved the ordering process to make it more efficient. We ordered a seafood platter to split. It came with fried catfish, shrimp, oysters , hushpuppies, crab cake and fries. The serving size is massive. Between my husband and I, we couldn't even finish and had plenty of leftovers. Back to the ordering process, you decide what you would like then place the order at the register and pay. They give you a plastic number that you insert into the contraption on the table you choose. It's supposed to alert the servers on where you are located in the dining room. Drinks are self serve with free refills but the server was nice enough to offer to refill for us when our glasses got too low. So use your discretion when it comes to tipping. Overall, a nice experience here and a great addition to the Westbank.

The bartender didn't know how to use a wine key. Food was alright, it was very greasy. The prices were more expensive than other places nearby and even though they had prices for raw oysters listed on their board they said they were not offering them.

All I can say is yum, yum, yum!!!! I freaking love this place. I have been here a few times and I always try to order something different. Everything I have ordered has been incredibly delicious. The way it is set up is a little different than most restaurants but I like it. You order your food first at the cash register and then you find a table and a server comes to help you. They have a nice beverage station with many selections of iced teas. I love this! Also they have a little food bar area with toppings for your burger or sandwich, and best of all you get a free ice cream cone. That is really the topper on the cake :). This place is really amazing and they have a drive thru too. What What! If you never have tried it you should.

I don't really get this restaurant. This location is fairly new, so maybe they're still working out the kinks. It's reminiscent of a Fud's, but with much less stuff on the walls and no arcade games. The food is overpriced, especially considering the decor and ordering/paying up front setup and getting your own drinks. The hush puppies were basic, unseasoned. The burger was cooked well, even though I ordered medium asking for pink. It was huge, and there were tons of toppings on it (mmm, bacon). The garlic fries were awesome and my favorite part of the meal, although the service size was smaller than average (weird, considering the huge burgers). Tables are, as someone else mentioned, bolted to the floor. They have a surprisingly good wine list, with recommendations on the menu (that you read while standing in the lobby). We totally missed (/were not told about) the free ice cream cones, wherever those are.

I must have visited this place on a very bad night! When we got there we had high hopes and empty stomachs. It was VERY busy there and tables were difficult to find. My husband found an empty one that had not been cleared and cleared it himself. As he was doing so the waitress came out telling him not to do it because she was going to get "yelled at" and that he "should have just waited" (in the mix up the waitress took our cups). We were told that tables could not be moved to accommodate us all (7 people). This, I realize is not their fault because the tables are bolted down. However when we asked to move to a newly cleared, larger table we were told we couldn't because we had already slid our card that tells the servers were the food goes (this was a cool concept but was proved to be annoying). After being seated two tables apart from our family, my husband asked the waitress for our cups and was told "Oh, you could have just asked the women at the register." My food was delicious but my husband's fish was brought out 10 minutes after ours and raw in the middle. They handled this issue well and brought out a freshly made fish that was again. . . . raw in the middle. Although my food was good and the location of the restaurant is close to where we live, I highly doubt I will be able to convince anyone from that party to go back.

These people are as polite as their food is delicious. I sent back a poboy because of a food allergy, and I can't rave enough about how the management handled my issue with such grace and service. The shrimp poboy I ended up with was positively delicious. And I must add, as a person who likes drink variety, I was very happy with their selection of teas. A great experience overall.
