This cafe is located in the little center with Popeye's. I went during Mardi Gras season and they had great 'personal-sized' king cakes. I had their grilled chicken salad with avocado, egg, bacon, mixed greens, etc. It had very friendly staff and several of my coworkers hit this up as a favorite lunch spot. They have a good selection of salads, burgers, wraps, po boys/sandwiches, and a few platters. There is a kids' menu and lots of good sides (bacon cheddar fries, baked macaroni...) They are open everyday except Sunday and they also offer catering.

As one of the lunch regulars of this little gem, I can attest that the food here is really great. Although the menu is routine for the river parishes, there's a lot of pride in everything Mary, the owner, puts on a plate. I must say that the fried shrimp dishes and daily specials are really where this place shines. I've been eating the fried shrimp remoulade wrap here for almost 8 years. The reason that Kim asks if you have eaten their wrap is because it is kind of awkwardly rolled with the paper getting caught in the roll. In short, if you try to take the paper off the outside the whole wrap falls apart. As far as the other reviewers comments, I'll admit the buffalo chicken items are not Breeze's specialty. Still if you are looking for a consistently good place to eat lunch in the river parishes, in 8 years Mary has rarely disappointed and has, more often than not, more than satisfied this foodie. Prior to opening her own place, Mary, the owner, worked for a number of great restaurants in town and for a time at Emerils.

This hidden gem is delicious! Try the grilled chicken salad. Their food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly. A great place to call in and pick up from or you can eat there. Yum!!

Came here one day for lunch with co-workers. It's a tiny place in a strip mall but similar to many mom and pop restaurants around. Nothing fancy, just good food and locals. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was pretty good. My co-worker got that day's special; I don't remember what it was but the portions were HUGE, plus there were sides. He couldn't finish it all and that's rare for him. With all the good places to eat in NOLA I wouldn't say this is worth a trip out of your way, but it's nice to know it's close to work if I'm ever really REALLY hungry.

Small cafe located in the Red Church (Popeye's) plaza next to Trey Wah. They do a big lunch business here. I've eaten here several times including once in the past week. Lots of choices, nothing real unusual. Order at the counter and find a seat. I tried the Buffalo chicken sandwich for fun. As a long time customer at the Anchor Bar (the birthplace of the Buffalo Chicken Wing for you heathens), I am always searching for that classic wing sauce. They don't have it here. Nonetheless, it was a pretty good sandwich, good piece of chicken, decent roll and average sauce, The sauce was definitely hot. They serve a very large wrap which one my colleagues ordered. I thought it was interesting that when they delivered it to the table, they asked her if she knew how to eat it. Huh? Some kind of trick question? Do they come with chopsticks? Nobody has ever accused my friend of being coordinated, but she doesn't walk around with food stuck to her shirt. And she clearly knows how to eat (when she finally stops talking). I won't spoil it for you. Stop in for lunch and order one of the wraps. Comfortable, busy atmosphere. Quick service. A couple of tables outside if are interested. If you are in the area, its the best restaurant in the plaza.
