When I think comfort food I think this joint. TV all over the place and a true sportsman watering hole, they have excellent food though a tad pricey but I always feel like I got what I paid for because it is quality and plentiful portions. Chicken temders, burgers, specials, and salads are always great but they do a pretty fair ribeye too.

Pass by here frequently for afternoon lunch.. You order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. Plenty of seating along with Great burgers, salads and chicken tenders.. plenty of TV's to watch the news or a game and a pool table I never seen anyone use. Clean place, good food, would recommend if you are in the area.

The atmosphere is a sports bar (obviously) and its a good place to drink beer. However, the food is bar food, and not very well seasoned bar food, at that.

First to review! This is going to look good on my resume. First, the easy stuff - the map is wrong. This place is tucked in the plaza at the west corner of Ormand and Airline. I've been here a number of times over the past couple of years including twice in the past week. Comfortable bar/restaurant atmosphere. Very casual, pool table, multiple TVs, booths, tables and, of course, a bar. Mixed crowd, young, old, families, couples, etc.. Nomex is not out of place. If you live in Destrehan, it is a easy place to get to. They have a decent lunch crowd. Service is quick and friendly. Place your order for food or drinks at the bar, they deliver to the table. Seems to work pretty well. Food is above average bar food. Generally large portions. My only complaint is it is a little pricy. Chicken sandwich, fries and diet coke was $13.30. That's about $3 more than I want to pay. In addition to a full service bar, they also have a fairly large daiquiri selection. Bar prices are reasonable. I wouldn't drive across town to eat or drink here, but if you are in the area its worth a visit.
