I had heard from a few people and also read in other reviews that this is the best pizza in the area. I have to say that it is indeed the best I have had so far on the north shore. If you're wanting great pizza then this is the place to go. They don't offer anything but pizza. No calzones, breadsticks of any kind, sandwiches, etc. Just pizza. Some may consider it a bit pricey but the beer is cheap. $2.00 mugs of Ultra which is what I drink so that kind of makes up for it. The service was great. My server was on top of things and checked on me regularly. They have a window where you can watch them make the pizza which is fun for the kids. There were several of them having a blast while I was there. Good stuff! I'll be a regular.

Pizza ordinary - definitely better choices on the North Shore. Limited toppings, nice they have andouille sausage. Generous cheese, good flavor overall but thin, soggy crust and lots of grease on top the pizza and the plate. Took so long to get our pizza we finished our sodas while waiting, then we learn NO free refills. Won't be going back.

One of the top 3 Pizza joints on the Northshore. Real Pizza oven, thin crust, great sauce! Great Pizza!

The best and most consistent pizza you will find! I like the olive oil special pizza with gaic in the crust. Unbelievable

The pizza is good. I like a thin crust and brick oven style pizza. The pepperoni has a good taste and the sauce taste good. I feel this pizza restaurant is a solid contender for Covington. The guy behind the window greeted me as soon as I walked. The cashier was nice and polite. I got a half special and the other half pepperoni. So you can divide the pizza. One pizza place didnt allow me to half an order. It's worth a shot-- if you brick oven style and thin ;)

CASH ONLY...BE WARNED...CASH ONLY!!! We picked up a large, 5-topping pizza last night. I'll agree with the other reviews that it's very tasty, yummy pizza. Having said that, for the price we paid ($19), I could have got 2 of the same thing from Papa John's, and we would have been more stuffed! What I mean is, Pizza Man makes their pizzas "thin crust" by default, so if you're looking to feed 4 hungry people, you'll need to order 2 of them (which will run you $38). I'm sure this is a great place to bring the kiddos for an evening out, but for my money, I'll head elsewhere. I ate 1/2 of this thing by myself with no problem. Oh, and I can honestly say that this is NOT the best pizza I've ever had. It was good, I won't deny that, but the price outweighs the satisfaction. I think I'll stick with Isabella's Pizza.

I just had to say I love the Wow pizza with the crabmeat and artichoke heart. The staff is always friendly and the Pizza Man puts on a great show making his pizzas.

This really is in my opinion the best pizza around. The menu is not as diverse as others but the pies on the menu across the board rock. Thin crusts, but not crispy and very good ingredients = great pizza for me. The atmosphere is unique with many locally themed artisitic works on pizza boxes that are hung all over the place. They have a juke box that plays mostly oldies but it fits the scene. Very kid friendly and very reasonable prices. The salad is enough to feed two people easily so keep that in mind. If you're looking for great pies in a no frills environment you can't go wrong with Pizza Man.

Good pizza. Old & run down atmosphere. We were quite cramped in our space, ( 7 of us) since the place was packed. Service was good. Can watch the pizza guys make your pizza through a large window. One guy got his stuck on the ceiling. Was very funny.

The. Best. Pizza. Ever. I can't say enough good about this place. Hole-in-the-wall, yet a little slice of paradise too. Only open in the evenings. Window into the kitchen... you can watch them toss the dough. Kids love it!

This place is so fun- a traditional family pizza parlor that probably hasn't changed much since the 70s. The pizza is hand tossed with a thin crust, but chewy edge. You can get sauce or garlic-olive oil. All the traditional toppings plus some gourmet. I always say I'm going to try the Wow pizza- olive oil, lump crab and artichokes, and I have no explanation of why I have not. The salad is ok- your basic iceberg lettuce "Italian" salad variety. The kids have a blast watching "pizza man" behind the plexiglass partition, they can watch him make pizzas, toss the crust high and throw some flour at them. They have a great jukebox too. You have to go regularly so you can keep up with the pizza box artwork and stories that line the walls. Cash only, no delivery and only open in the evening.

We substituted spinach for the green pepper, then added garlic sauce on the Pizza Palace meat eater. Salad to start. All Amazingly delicious ! Plus $2 Ultra or Shock Top beers. Really great dinner.

It has been a long time since I have been to The Pizza Man, but from what I remember IT WAS THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD, EVER!! The atmosphere is very casual, so its perfect if you just want something on the low key. Service was okay. But the pizza is so worth it. I cannot wait until we go visit my Mom in Covington again, this is going to be the place we are going to eat...cannot wait.

Not only do they make their own dough the night before, all of their ingredients are fresh as well! Go to Dominos or Papa Johns if you want your pizza to be nothing but bread! Pizza Man offers a delicious not-too-thin dough with every topping under the sun. I love talking to the owners and seeing them throw dough through the window while I wait. They do offer a delicious salad, but their main focus is pizza. You will NOT find calzones or a long menu. They stick to what they do best, and that's rocking your tastebuds with fantastic pizza. It's THE BEST hole-in-the-wall, locally-owned pizza place on the Northshore.

Here's the thing: sometimes they burn the crust on one side. And this causes me actual anger because they see the pizza when they box it up and they KNOW that they are giving you a burnt, unevenly cooked pie. And that's pizza sacrilege or something. It's disrespectful to the pizza-loving community (me). Frustrations aside, I've found that asking them ahead of time to turn it while cooking, to avoid the burn, is effective. Despite the prices ($20+ for a large plain cheese) and the potential for ruin, it's still my favorite pizza on the Northshore. The cheese is fantastic and the crust is nice and thin. I know my boyfriend's daughter will grow up to have lovely memories of coming here to watch the pizza makers work. Tasty greasy goodness, gimme.

Just moved to Covington and Pizza Man was suggested to us. The pizza is really good, BUT, there were no free refills on drinks (who doesn't give refills?!) and a large cheese pizza was nearly $20. So it tasted good, but for the price, it's not really worth it.

I have been to "Pizza Man" at least a half a dozen times and was always pleased with the service and food. However, we stopped going after we realized they were charging for soft drink refills. I understand that a restaurant is in business to make money but lets face it, charging full price for a soft drink refill is way over the top. Especially when the first drink comes to the table packed solid with crushed ice. The last time we ate there we honestly spent more for soft drinks than the pizza. If I ever hear that they have stopped charging for refills I will start returning but until then its off our list.
