All the reviews of this place mentioned how the service is bad...well, let's just say that there was no exception on my recent visit to thai chili. My wife and I went here because it was Sunday evening and all the other thai restaurants nearby happened to be closed. I was hesitant to even try this place because I saw that it did not have great reviews. But I ended up giving in and trying it out...once again, I know better than trying to be cheap and agreeable. So, we walked into thai chili at 8:10 pm. They close at 9:00. We were seated immediately, as there was no one else in there apart from the loud and obnoxious table of women who worked there. Our waitress asked what we wanted to eat before we even opened our menus. I told her we needed a few minutes to look it over; she said ok and left...only to return 30 seconds later to ask again. To appease her I went ahead and ordered some vegetable spring rolls for an appetizer (I prefer fresh spring rolls, but they don't even offer those on their menu-ok whatever), she said ok, went and put the order in and came back immediately and asked what we wanted to eat. When I said I was still looking the menu over she told me that the kitchen closed in 15 minutes (it was 8:15 at the time) so we needed to order now. Then she asked if I like noodles and asked if I had ever heard of phad Thai. I said that I had tried just about everything on the menu because my wife and I eat Thai food often, but since this was a place we'd never been I was just taking my time. She proceeded to stand over the table asking me if I like curry or rice, so getting annoyed I finally just ordered the drunken noodles-Thai hot. My wife then orders exotic vegetable soup. The waitress then leaves to put our order in....but comes back very soon after to ask if we wanted to pay with cash or card. Really?! I told her cash, and she went and sat down and mean mugged us from across the room. When our food came out it was all pretty good. My drunken noodles were actually kinda spicy. The portions were large and the food was better than average. However when we got outer food the waitress took my drink to refill...I ordered a DIET coke, but when she refilled it she brought me a regular one. I know, not a huge deal, but a definite annoyance. At around 8:45 when we were nearly done eating a man came in and asked if he could place an order for carry out. Our waitress was the one taking his order; she looked at the clock and said "ok, we don't close till 9:00, no problem". Uumm...excuse me? You told me at 8:15 that I had to order NOW because your kitchen closed in 15 minutes! Clearly that was untrue. Excuse me for asking you to do your job. Giving my wife and I five more minutes wasn't going to get you outta there any later...especially since you still take orders up until close. Then we were rushed to pay (it's worth mentioning that the food is slightly over priced compared to their competition) and take our food to go. I was still trying to enjoy my meal, but just put it in the to go box and left. Needless to say, I did not leave a tip and I will not be returning.

I had the Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken. Portion sizes were big and had great flavor. Service was friendly also. I'll definitely be back. Overall good experience.

I had the Tom yum soup, which was nothing short of delicious, however, when paired with bad service and a rude waitress the restaurant suffers a 2 star... I tried to clarify my order Bcuz I didn't know if the waitress had written down all I wanted, and her response was short and abrupt and rude. She said in a nasty tone, "ma'am, I know!" I was surprised... Especially because being nice is actually really easy if one tries! To sum up the 2 star, the food was great, but service was definitely disappointing...

First time I came I had a decent experience albeit the snarky attitude from the woman that works the cash register and tables. I wanted to come back because I wanted fresh, non fried spring rolls and this seems to be the only place near for that. Well when we got here and started ordering she brought out the fried spring rolls instead. I asked for the fresh ones and then she laughed and said, "no, not today, no one here to make them.." Um, wow, last time I checked you should probably train your cook to make everything on the menu. I gave 2 stars because the spicy basil is really good but I changed it back to 1 when I realized there was more than 1 cook in the back (SOME BODY could have made 2 simple spring rolls). I will be finding another place to try before coming back here.

This is a review of the lunchtime buffet. Located in a strip mall near a title change place, Thai Chili serves up a decent lunchtime buffet. If you are a Thai food novice, this could be a good opportunity for you to sample several different dishes. I love Thai cuisine. Since trying it a few years ago, it has become one of my favorite types of food. I really enjoy the ability to order dishes prepared "Thai Hot" which is far spicier than almost any dish you've ever tried. Unfortunately the buffet was prepared to a very mild temperature in an effort to satisfy even the wimpiest palates. The buffet had all of the Thai staples including Pad Thai, Red Curry, Fried Rice, etc. While not the best dish, the best named dish was the D.U.I. Chicken. I can only assume that was shorthand for drunken chicken, but I laughed to myself. Prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. They were also very good sports when my buddy began ordering beer in Spanish. They even responded in Spanish which was a nice touch. You won't be amazed by the buffet, but if you want to try a bunch of different items, I encourage you to come check this place out.

I was craving Pad Thai so went here for lunch. They were offering a buffet for lunch which included the Chicken Pad Thai on the buffet so I went that route. Huge mistake. It was dried out and not tasty. The buffet was just okay. It was cheap I'll give it that...only 8.95. The really bad part was when I left I immediately started having an allergic reaction to the food. BAD! Nose stopped up, headache & drip in my throat. This tells me they had an excessive amount of MSG or other preservatives in the food. Will NOT go back.

After reading the prior reviews, I was extremely disappointed to say the least. Summed up, the server was not friendly, the soup and spring rolls were bland at best, and the drunken noodles tasted burnt. I don't know whether to attribute this to a lack of good Asian food in the South in general, or I just went on a really bad night. Either way, it was not a good experience and I will not be returning.

Love this place. They put basil in their spring rolls, instead of cilantro (& we adore the cilantro). My sister & her husband love the basil. Regardless, we ask for them with cilantro, & the nice ladies make them special for us. The green curry (36 on take out) is superb, yum, good with chicken, or shrimp. Dried Chili & Cashew is good (30), veggie lovers is sort of a wonderful stir fry (33), we got it with shrimp.

So, I never really write reviews, but after my last experience there, I feel like this place deserves one. My husband and I ate there for a late lunch. We missed the buffet, so we ordered the Penang curry and the pad Thai. We also ordered the fresh basil spring rolls and the fried spring rolls as appetizers. The rolls were great, but our main courses were terrible. My husband's Pad Thai smelled like dog food (no joke) and my Penang curry wasn't absolutely terrible, but it looked/tasted as though many of the 'fresh' veggies were out of a frozen soup mix bag. And to top it off, our waitress was not very friendly at all. Not just to us, but also to the tables of guests next to us. It just was NOT a good experience for us, so we will not be back for sure.

Just had lunch at Thai Chili on a lazy Sunday with a friend. Was just passing and decided to try this place based on the good reviews and we were not disappointed. We shared the Basil Spring Rolls, Green Curry and Penang Curry with chicken. All food was fresh and delicious. The Penang Curry was 2 stars spicy and the Green Curry we asked to be more spicy and it was 3 stars - perfectly spicy with a bit of a kick but not too hot to burn. Our server (nice lady) was super friendly and helpful. The place is clean and I can't wait to return.

Have been here multiple times and am never disappointed. The food is delicious, restaurant is clean and comfortable. The curry is absolutely excellent. Relatively reasonable pricing. The staff were wonderful.

We went here today for the lunch buffet. I was impressed with the pretty and clean atmosphere and with the variety on the buffet. There were only a couple vegetarian options and lots of chicken items. My favorites were the spicy basil chicken, the green curry and the veggie lover's mix. It was a lovely way to celebrate my husband's birthday. I'm sure we will eat there again.

I went in here for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. I asked the server to recommend something other than Pad Thai, but there was a language barrier, so I got the Pad Thai. I thought it was fantastic. I returned recently for the lunch buffet (I'm not usually a fan of Buffets, but I wanted to try more things) and I had the best Curry I have had in a while!

Just had the worst server in the history of bad service... This woman's attitude was so bad... I wanted to tell her to kiss my ass before our food came out. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! I will never go back because of her terrible rudeness. The food was good but being my first Thai experience this left a bad taste in my mouth and not cause the food was bad.

Not bad, but nothing exceptional either. I asked for my food to be Thai spicy, which was rated as 4 stars for heat, but it was only moderately spicy.

Always great Thai food. We mostly do take out because a small restaurant and our five year old son usually equals big trouble, but the service when we do eat there has been good. The staff is very friendly. Our favorites are the Fresh Basil roll, the pineapple curried fried rice, and the masaman curry, but everything we have had there is very tasty.
