The best fast food chain burgers ever!!!! Along with the fresh cut fries you can't go wrong with Five Guys!

OK, I reserve five stars for really good food and really good service when it comes to a restaurant. Five Guys is worthy of these stars. Great burgers, great fries, and great service. For the virgin, here's what you need to know: A regular burger is two patties, a little burger is one patty. A large order of fries is enough for three to four people. My favorite burger is the regular bacon cheeseburger, all the way minus the mustard. Getcha one of these and an order of fries and you'll leave with a full stomach. I love the menu. Simple is better. Burgers, fries, and dogs. You want something other than that? Go to McDonald's. Chomp on some free peanuts while waiting for your order to be completed. I believe my quest for the best burger on the northshore has come to an end. Sorry Times Grill, you have good burgers, just not better than Five Guys. Easy to find location and great hours make this place even better.

I come to this Five Guys pretty often and always know what to expect. The food is very consistent. I absolutely love their burgers and cajun fries. It is a little pricey for fast food but the quality is so much higher

My first Five Guys experience was in Panama City, FL. I was hooked, because I had never had a burger like it before, plus I was very hungry that day. When it opened in Covington, I was really excited. Now however, after having tried other "high class" fast food burgers (Lee's, MVB, etc), the Five Guys burger isn't as magical as I remember it. I love the options for toppings, which I think is what puts it ahead of the other burgers, but the burger itself is well done so it's a little dry. It's still the basic Five Guys experience, which I like, but it's no longer the 'died and gone to Heaven' burger.

Once Five Guys went in my mouth, I knew I was in love! Five Guys is great because you can truly have it your way in a fast food restaurant. Want bell peppers on your burger!? Throw em on there. Jalapenos? Throw those on there too. They are free. This is just as good as Carl's Jr. burgers and the fries are awesome. I never have been to a fast food place where I couldn't finish the meal. At 6'2" and 165 lbs, you would think I don't eat a ton, but I am like a vacuum when I eat. I eat fast so the sensation of being "full" doesn't set in so I can finish. This didn't happen here. It went from "dieing of hunger" to "I think I need to go lay down" in a matter of 10 minutes. The only negatives is the atmosphere, price, and not being that "fast" for fast food. The atmosphere seemed too cramped in there and it was loud. A little annoying, but not a deal breaker. For my 1 burger, fries, and a drink, it was $10+. Was it worth it, hell yea. Still a bit pricey for a fast food joint. The order took around 10 minutes to get out... This is a negative, but no way to get around it because they make the burger fresh. So technically you can't complain about it. These reasons are why I prefer Carl's Jr as my fast food hook up, but there are none in the area...

I agree this one seemed greasier than other Five Guys I've been to. fries were very limp.. It was just ok for overpriced fast food..My problem is why would they put an employee to work the dining room area that can't speak or understand English and can't communicate with customers????

Only tried once. Not my favorite. After hearing of a certain problem with a employee and the food prep, I wouldn't eat there again.

I've been twice now and would say a little salt and pepper on the burger before cooking would greatly improve them. I've tried the regular and Cajun fries, didn't care for either, they were limp, I like my fries crisp.

Not so sure what the big deal is here. Burgers are just ok, not great though. Meat could be seasoned more. For fans of really good fresh cut crispy fries, you will be sorely disappointed! They got the fresh cut down, however fail miserably on frying them up crisp. The fries are soggy, mushy, and greasy. They'd be so much better if they did a twice fry on these. Overall just another burger homogenized, chain oriented burger joint. Nothing special. (much better tasting burgers right across the street at Lee's)

Definitely one of my favorite burger joints. Thank god all the places I have lived recently have one. So so much better than lees across the street!

The first Five Guys I tried was in Pensacola Fl. I had been on the road for quite a while and was hungry and didn't think the burger was bad. Let's say a 7 rating. Then this store opened and I live within 3 miles and went a month after the open and it was packed at 3 in the afternoon. The burger was totally devoid of any seasoning or taste and very greasy, the paper bag attesting to that fact. I stayed away until today and tried again--which will be my last time. Besides no salt or seasoning in the meat, the whole burger had what I can best describe as an unappetizing smell and taste. And the fries were loaded with cumin spice. Its 7 hours later and I am still queasy.

I went to visit to see how this compared to others. I waited for 20 minutes for a burger and it was smashed. Fries were decent and as usual abundant. Staff was fine, but in a pinch for time, eat elsewhere.

Finally one of the best burgers in the country comes to the new orleans area. Worth the ride to the north shore especially if you havent had the bliss of eating a five guys masterpiece. Its better than the one I had in NYC Laguardia. A less greasy fry and and burger.

My son and I went here for lunch while in Covington a few months back. The pros: free peanuts to eat while you wait for your order. The cons: Way too expensive for what you get. Service does get a thumbs up, though.

There was a time when I was a vegan....for 6 months. It was challenging because I lived in the swamps with only a convenient store within 25miles. What I missed the most were burgers. The best burger I could get in my area was at Wendy's. Boy, was I missing out! This place is right up there with some of the best. And I assure you, it's better than Wendy's.

Finally a Five Guys location near me. The problem is now that there is one close by, it has lost some of its allure. Don't get me wrong, they still put out a damn fine burger, but it isn't the holy grail of all hamburgers. It is the best six buck burger I have had. This location is brand new. I was lucky to go right at opening one day so I could avoid the inevitable rush that all locations experience. Burgers only come cooked medium well. Even though I prefer medium, the burgers come juicy and very flavorful. There are an enormous amount of free toppings including grilled onions and jalapenos. There are an enormous amount of people working at this location. All were friendly and efficient. While waiting for our order we ate some complimentary peanuts. There was a warning sign that prohibited peanuts from leaving the restaurant. The warning said it was due to potential peanut allergies in the neighborhood, but I found this odd due to the outdoor tables. The fries were also very good. There was a sign on the wall that listed the farm where the potatoes came from. Lined up on the sides of the restaurants were 50lb. bags of potatoes. They apparently take their fries very seriously. The fries came in regular or Cajun varieties. We tried both. The regular were my favorite. One tip when ordering fries: only order the regular size. When they make the regular size the bag it comes in is filled with more fries than are in the regular cup. It is enough for two people. I would definitely recommend Five Guys if your in the mood for a quick, cheap burger. If you're looking for a more homemade type burger, you should probably go elsewhere.

Five Guys is as good as a burger gets! No frills (except all the toppings you want, fo free!) , just a really good burger & fries. This is a great place to go if you want to eat your feelings. Try the Cajun Seasoned fries! They'll wake you up a little

Love that you can make the burger different each time since the toppings are free. Sometimes the burger can be a bit dry. Love the Cajun fries!

Proof that a fast food chain can be done really well! They serve 100% fresh beef with no preservatives and no trans fats. Does a semi chubby fella like me really care about that? not really but it sounds really good when you are scarfing down 1200 calories in 1 sitting. I ordered a cheesebuger. A cheeseburger here really means a double cheeseburger as there are 2 patties. You want 1 patty? Too damn bad go to Burger King if you want it your way. They have all sorts of condiments including grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. That's a star all by it's lonesome. The french fries are fresh cut. How do you know? Well for 1 they have the 100 pound sacks of potatoes right there in the dining room. There is even a dry erase board telling you the type and region they are from. I had the Liberty Gold potatoes from Blackfoot, Idaho for those keeping score. Since when did french fries become like wines? Does it really matter what dirt the potato grew in? It just may, cuz they were really good. All the fries are cooked in peanut oil and there's even free peanuts to serve yourself. So don't bring one of those peeps that have a nut allergy. Then again go ahead, the hospital is only half a mile away and it will be worth it. Well done Five Guys. I now eagerly await for your Elmwood location so I don't have to cross the lake.

Good burgers, and I always tell my kids about how burgers are NOT food. I am willing to forgo healthier options and have a burger and fries from this place, and this place only. You can choose from a small burger(which is not small) or a regular burger and pay extra for bacon and cheese. All the other toppings which include grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, green peppers and A.1 sauce among other things, are FREE! Have it your way. The fries are fresh cut and you can opt to get them seasoned with something that tastes more like Lawry's rather than Tony Chacherie's. They also have malt vinegar if you are into that. There is no drive through and your food is not prepared until you order, so it is more like medium, rather than fast- food. Dining area is bright and the kids (or the grown ups) can entertain themselves by shelling roasted peanuts while waiting on orders. P.S. If you are taking food to go, you may want to bring newspaper or something to protect your car seat from the increasingly more greasy as time goes on brown paper bag they serve their food in.
