PJs is a 5 star coffee shop if you're wearing your Parish goggles. Without them, they deserve 3 stars for dutifully executing the PJs franchise model - nothing less and nothing more. You see, PJs is the only full-service coffee shop in St. Bernard Parish. There are really no other options if you want to order an espresso drink, sit in a comfy chair, and get some work done. Because of this, I'm at PJs like its my second home. The iced coffee is consistent, the staff remembers my drink order, and they're as nice as can be. But there are problems... The wireless internet here was unapologetically down for a month without any posted notice that patrons shouldn't bother searching for a signal. That's just bad customer service.

The Drinks are great and the servers are very nice, only negative star is the wait time. Its a hit or miss, sometimes i am in and out and my order is perfect and i am very happy. Some times its a miss and i end up waiting and my order is barely what i ordered. Overall if i am in the area and i am too lazy to get out my car for some coffee they are perfect.

I wish you all had cups besides disposable. It's nice to sit down enjoy a latte in a ceramic cup. Less of the in/out feeling.

If you are a regular customer of the drive-thru, you can forget the extra car that joined you this morning because I will not be back - at least back through the drive-thru. My $5.17 little bitty order of "1 Medium Granita with a shot of espresso" took 28 minutes. I've seen longer lines at Taco Bell that took half the amount of time. At first, I gave them credit because maybe, just maybe, they were extremely busy, short-handed, or both. Then at one point, I am sure they heard me on the intercom when I grew impatient and blurted out, "OMG!" It wasn't until I made it to the window that I got to peer in to see what was going on. Three girls were behind the counter - perhaps one was being trained because only two actually looked busy. I thought one of them would have had the courtesy to at least tell me they'd be right with me or acknowledge my presence - boy, was I wrong! My time at the window was about 4-5 minutes, again, waiting for my itsy bitsy $5.17 order of "1 Medium Granita with a shot of espresso". My order came with about 6 others, carried by one girl who knew exactly what I had. She didn't seem too stressed or minded me having to wait by the window as if I was being paid to be there, so I assume this is how they operate *all of the time*. I guess if you have cute girls who are friendly you can get away with this sort of service. I dunno. I was very disappointed in the service. A brand will only excuse so much. My recommendation is that each worker, perhaps the manager and owner(s) too, take a time management course. The PJ's out in Harahan does a much better job under the gun. Chalmette has room for improvement. If I ever go back, I will get out of my vehicle and walk in, place my order, and see if the experience is different - more pleasant.
