Our second time here, we absolutely love this place.. Small cozy, very friendly staff!! Food comes in large servings, most tender alligator, spicy gumbo, and seasoned fries!! Food is always spot on

Stopped by on our way back to Houston. So random but such a good find! Huge crawfish with the best seasoning. I had crab cakes topped with étouffée and a side of gumbo and I really enjoyed it. I recommend stopping here. This is true Louisiana cooking.

Stopped in for a quick and comforting lunch on this gloomy day. I had seafood gumbo and the southern sampler. Southern sampler includes fried pickles, jalapeños, and green tomatoes. They are perfectly golden and crisp but definitely too much for one person. Bring your appetite. The gumbo is a bit on the spicy side but that is what I like so I really enjoyed it. It's jam packed with seafood so you'll get some in every bite. Another plus, they have to-go trays on the drink station in case you can't finish your meal. Very smart.

Food is great but service was a little lacking. Teenagers that acted like they didn't want to be there.

I ate here with a friend on a long road trip from Dallas to my native Maryland, we wanted to hop off I-20 and get some good local cajun eats and boy did we strike gold on that mission!!! We stopped for lunch around 2:30 or so not much of a crowd. I first was going to order the crawfish etouffee but then I saw the crab cakes and said let me give those a try to see the difference. Upon further review of the menu the crab cakes came buried in crawfish etouffee over rice...and just $8.99. My buddy got gumbo which he said was good. My dish was great...great combination..given my MD bias they weren't the best crab cakes I've ever tasted but they were good, and the crawfish etouffee was outstanding. Both meals and drinks came in under $20 total, we left pleased and full..if I ever ventured through the area again I would definitely come back.

Being native to the area, I've often visited Shane's, for a taste of local flavor. During my last two visits, I've not been impressed by the preparation/flavor of the seafood/sausage, ect. Complacency may be the key word, but, I hope they raise their game in the future. Crawfish Hole is def an upgrade from Shanes 1.5 Stars

Ehhh, I was really disappointed with this place to be honest because the food was so bad and they charge way too much for it. I was actually taken here by mistake because a co-worker suggested a different Shane's in the Bossier City area and the person going to lunch with me went to this one by mistake. Their gumbo was a huge disappointment, it was actually so bad that I had to take it back up there because I couldn't even eat it. Then I got their red beans and rice which was watery and just had fatty chunks of meat, which may have been sausage, and a few red beans. For the actual entree their fried alligator was all breading, almost no gator, and had zero flavor. I understand that Bossier City is in northern Louisiana but if you're not even going to try and add flavor, just don't include the dishes on your menu or hire better chefs. I won't be back the next time I'm in town.

ehhh...I thought it would be better. Crawfish was salty, just like the people that work there. Maybe I caught the workers on a wrong day. The next time I went with a friend they were pretty nice. I gave them 2 stars only because of the free refills on drinks. That sweet tea was essential for me in surviving the salty ass crafish they made. Now your saying wait you ate it....heck ya I paid for those lil suckers. That's just my experience with the crawfish...I haven't tasted the BBQ. But from what I heard, well...there's other places for that too. haha

The food was fantastic. Besides going to see my Mom this place will be the other reason to go visit her. I had the half order of boiled shrimp with potatoes and corn- it was perfect. My sister had crawfish, it was great, my mom had seafood platter and loved it. I then was curious about the ribs- they were tender and fantastic. Great job, can't wait to go back and see you. The traveling sister!

Coming from Baltimore, this is my first time in the area and this was the first place we ate without any recommendations from anyone. Food was great. Nice portion and convient price. I had the BBQ chicken which was seasoned well and good sauce on the first day of my visit and the next day I tried the sloppy joe (pulled beef). Awesome love it and will keep them in mind on my next trip back to Bossier City, LA

No booze and crawfish on the small side and way too salty. Not impressed. They do have a nice menu and in all fairness, my partner ordered ribs and they did look good but based on my crawfish plate, I can only give them three stars. I'd have to imagine there's much better places in Shreveport for crawfish this time of the year.

I'm basing my review solely on the crawfish...... With roots in the boot I have to say that I was highly disappointed and embarrassed at the taste and quality of their mud bugs. Small and over seasoned. Note to any and all. Extra spicy does not mean extra seasoning. It took like to cups of water to get through a pound. I've had better crawfish at a casino in Louisiana than this crap.

Good place to get fast food seafood. I wouldn't call it authentic, but it's a tasty meal for not too much money. I got a crawfish po' boy (my wife got alligator). A little dry, but a decent sandwich. The jambalaya was ok, kind of like the dirty rice you'd get at a lot of fast food places. Sweet tea was great (very sweet), and you get to keep the cup. Not a whole lot else to say about it. Friendly service and some quick seafood.

Shane's is a great place to pick up fried catfish and bbq on the quick. We came here for lunch one day. I ordered the bbq sandwich. The meat was nicely shredded and flavored well with the sauce. It was a very plentiful sandwich. My husband ordered a catfish/crawfish tail combo. It came with french fries, bbq beans, and hushpuppies. Both meals were really tasty. It's definitely a good place to come eat, but be patient. The lunch line can be quite long. This location also offered a lunch buffet. So if time is tight for your lunch hour, that might be an option. This Shane's location is located in a shopping center, so there's plenty of parking.

Pretty good BBQ fast food. The seafood gumbo is delicious.. Perfect balance of spice for me. I tend to get the ribs every time and so far it's best during lunchtime. Service has always been good. The only thing I don't like is that it's a bit overpriced.

Don't eat here it's awful. Worst food in Louisiana as far as I'm concerned.

So, truth be told, I never ate here. We walked into the building intending to get some craw fish, as we'd seen it from the road several times. But when we walked in and sniffed the air, there was no smell. You can always tell when some craw fish is being served up just by the smell of boiling seasonings in the air, but not here. So, before we ordered we asked a couple who was slowly picking their way through a pound, while making dispassionate faces, was the craw fish good? They told us to go else where. We didn't stick around. Follow your nose folks.
