Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

I love Texas Roadhouse and I was very sad to see that the closest one is about an hour away from where I am living. We made a day adventure out of it, and decided that we would eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse to satisfy my craving. Like always I was pleased! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the rolls were hot! I would recommend to anyone who hasn't tried their food! Oh and my daughter loved the girls when they danced with the music! That's always fun for kids, so I'm glad that Texas Roadhouse does this!

Stopped in while we were traveling. The service was good, and the staff was friendly. Had a great time.

My one & only experience there was not very pleasant. We had a very long wait to be seated. The waitress did not take our order for 20 minutes. When the rolls were brought out to the table we found a fly baked into them. The waitress did not want to do anything to correct this error. We had to ask multiple times for the manager. Was hard to enjoy the rest of the meal worrying about what other bugs could be in it.

The food was great till my husband found a cooked hair on his steak. We didn't say anything to the little girl that was waiting on our table because she was swamped and frazzled. There were so many nats that I was worried I was going to eat one. Other then that The service was great.

Been here twice this week. Sat at the bar both times. Lindsey is a professional bartender. Her eye for service is impeccable. Lindsey expects perfection. This is quality is what makes her an exceptional bartender. My filet mignon the first time and delicious. Make potato was steaming and was also delicious. My second visit I ordered the exact same, while it was cooked to perfection it was slightly cold. I also ordered the apple pie cold with ice cream on the side. The cold have apple pie did take a bit long but Lindsay explained there was a problem. The manager Fisher came out and explain why the delay. He was professional and courteous, thank you Fisher. Some other manager came out with my dessert, there was no apology for the delay. Not professional. I'll be sure to sit at the bar and be taken care of by Lindsey.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2015 NEW I always eat at a Tx RH if there is one around and they never disappoint. this particular one (6 yrs. old) is quite a bit smaller than most and a little different set-up wise. sat at the bar, Lindsey server was pleasant, efficient. as usual, has 1/2 roasted chicken w/broc/carrot mix and side green beans. blue moon on tap, shiner bock in bottles...who could ask for more? food was good, prepared well and there are always (here too) plenty of peanuts. if I were in Alexandria again I would definitely stop by here. happy trails.

After a disastrous chili's experience we went here because we knew they would make it all right. Greeted and seated promptly and no hesitation on our order being filled. Food was properly done and tasted wonderful. The margaritas was excellent as well. Great price and great service was always the best. Always enjoy the service and will keep coming back.

Love the food and their take out is top notch. This place is ALWAYS crowded. They need to add on to the restaurant because the wait can be ridiculous. I normally just take out because it is still really good and I don't have to sit there waiting. I would give five stars but the atmosphere in the restaurant is lacking(to be specific, it's actually way too much. Too much music and dancing, etc,but this is TX Roadhouse). Their portions are Texas sized too.

Service sucked as waitress took forever to show up: while we got there at 5:45p to take advantage of the $8.99 early dinner, she showed up at 6:05p and told us it was too late for that. Thankfully, effective and dedicated manager showed up to check on how things were going. We told him and he arranged for us to get the $8.99 price. Quite importantly, food was very good even though GF's meat was medium rare rather than medium but I like it less cooked so I finished her plate... Nice place, waitress needs some training and supervision. Oddly enough, no peanut shells on the floor that night. Maybe shop's policy?

Always a pleasure coming here to eat. Wait staff is friendly and food is delicious. Their country fried sirloin is amazing and covers the whole plate ! Your sides have to have their own plate its so big ! Chili's doesn't even come close. Even the bus boys are quick to clean up the tables, and the waitresses are quick to get the tables set for the next customer. This is definitely one of my fav places to eat.

I was pretty pleased on our visit here. The TR's in our area aren't nearly as good at cooking a steak. The standard free bread here are nice sized dinner rolls with a choice of two different butters. Oh and you can throw peanut shells on the floor which keeps the kids occupied (not sure why - but it does). The only negatives were that they don't seem to be capable of cooking a prime rib in any other way than the "usual" way. My cousin asked for it seared and it came out just as red as the normal way of cooking it. He said this happens every time he comes here which is pretty bad. There's this annoyingly loud line dance they do for people's birthdays - the music volume is doubled and they should hand out earplugs for this. Their drinks are very mild - we couldn't taste any tequila in their margarita. And last, their desserts weren't up to par according to the people that ordered them. None of them ate the brownie and said it was horrible! I can't discount them much for this since I've noticed that all desserts at chain steakhouses pretty much suck! So it's a good place for a good steak and to bring the kids. We had a group of 11 and they were okay with splitting our check up and our waitress was happy to adjust any issues we had. Just beware of the obnoxious birthday thing if you have sensitive ears!

Call ahead for seating. It gets crowded. Shared a ribeye with my brother & it was done to order & well seasoned. Apparently all Roadhouses are loud, this one was consistent with all of the ones I've eaten at in TX.

Fodd portions were good.... One entertaining aspect was the fact that (what seemed like) every 20 minutes the entire wait staff gathered in the may walkway of the restaurant in order to partake in an impromtu line dance. I found it rather funny since I am not used to something of that sort. The food was well cooked (at least the BBQ chicken I ordered) seemed to be cooked well, yet maintained it's tenderness and was not dry. The mashed potatoes were also equally good and overall the place was good. The feeling of the place on the inside was that of an old bar with peanut shells on the floor and relaxed atmosphere. Def would go there again.

This is a typical Texas Roadhouse. Raunchy attitudes, cute waitresses, corny dancing, shells everywhere, bar is loud, people celebrating. This place crowds quickly, even for a weekday. I've never really seen a wait longer than 20 minutes but if you're starving and ready to eat, this place isn't exactly where you want to be. I would suggest to not bring the children, either, since there's a large drunk-dad crowd here. Food is always great and if you're looking to have a night-outing away from, say, a place like Leesville, you got yourself one at Texas Roadhouse.

Enjoyable? You bet. Great value, friendly service. Have I had better steaks? Of course, but not for the 15 bucks I paid here. Nice, casual chain steakhouse. Compares very favorably to outback across the board and particularly on the steak itself.

This is the best roadhouse in Alexandria, the waitors and waitresses are very nice and check regularly to see if you need anything. The inside is visually stimulating as the have many things to look at and admire, just watch out for the cacti!
