I love Piccadilly and eat there regularly. The food is always great. It is worth going solely for the wonderful staff and servers. They are such friendly, kind, genuine people. I specifically remember being served by Christy and Cassie and they are wonderful. Very fast and attentive. If you get something you don't like, you can send it back and they will replace it free of charge. Will continue to eat here.

Really wanted to eat here for lunch. Drove up with my wife, got out the car, and couldn't get past the cloud of smoke coming from the "chefs" all standing by the front door smoking cancer sticks. Seriously!? I don't want you smoking period if you are about to cook my meal, but several of them...standing by the front entrance. Get real. We left and will not be eating here. Have a little common sense.

It was either this place or Chick Filet, and I for one prefer not eating at chain restaurants, fast food, or places that do not have vegetarian options. Plus, being in Louisiana for the first time, I needed some local flavor. Piccadilly Cafe had a huge selection, and everyone there was very friendly. The food was great, but a little pricey. It seems to me that in that neighborhood, one might eat quite a large serving, and since this is a cafeteria, which means you pay by the plate/item and push your tray along the rail, things add up pretty quickly. I ordered the blackened fish, some vegetables, etouffee, and I do not remember what else. I do remember that with an iced tea it cost more than $20, and I am not the kind of person that eats huge portions, so the prices are a bit high. I probably will not go back there if I ever find myself in that town again, because I am sure that for what I paid I could get a better meal prepared for me, not just pre prepared, and for less than $20. Regardless, I am 100% sure it was better than Chick Filet.

UPDATED REVIEW: The only reason I ever came here in the beginning was due to the "$5 value combo choices" ... which is now gone!!! They have reduced the value combo of 4 choices to 1 choice and it's always the LAST THING somebody wants to eat!!! With that reason alone....I won't be back (unless they bring another promotional deal back!) _______ ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you decide to eat off the regular menu, you'll pay about $10.00 for your meal. However, the inside is always clean and the staff is always nice. BUT, the staff always seem to RUSH you whenever you're deciding what you want (there are soooo many choices and sometimes you have to think about what you want and NOT choose so quickly). There is lots of tables to sit in the large dining area (which has a nice waterfall), and there is even a private large room for big parties / meetings. Altogether, this Piccadilly is much better than the Piccadilly in the mall (so make sure you avoid the mall and come here!!!!)

I was traveling thorugh Alexandria and was homesick. I recognized this as a popular cafeteria chain in SC. I was expecting some down home food, but this place disappointed. None of the food was fresh. I got shrimp and it had a very off taste. The prices were high and even the dessert was a dissapointment. This place has spoiled me for Piccadilly's everywhere.

I reside in Alexandria and eat out most every day of the week. I usually choose Piccadilly to eat because as a cafeteria it offers a variety of foods from which to choose. One can get a good meal for less than $9.00 provided you drink only water with your meal. Yes, one can spend $20 as another reviewer noted, if one chooses the most expensive entrée along with a drink, and dessert, but that would be a whopper of a meal that would stuff most folk. The food is good, fresh, and hot. The only time I find an item not fresh may be the crackers on some days, that seem to be crackers left over from the previous day. Staff are very friendly, including management. I go during mid afternoons, so it is not busy, offers a tranquil environment and as someone already noted, pleasant surroundings. I just love their jalapeño cornbread. Watch out, for it is HOT! For the price, quality of food, surroundings, ease of parking and getting in and out I give the establishment a 3.5 star rating.

Passing thru & other restaurants too busy. Had read these cafeterias in general were not that great. The food did not look fresh, in fact, pretty sure the water was the freshest item we had. If there was an option for negative stars that is where the rating would be. Next time I'll wait it out at the busier restaurant.
