Food and service were awesome. I had the chicken fried steak. It was very filling and very delicious. I'm out here from California visiting my parents and I love the hospitality out here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt like family the whole time I was there.

I love Cracker Barrel. Sadly this is not one of the better ones. Poor service and poor food.

Driving thru and decided to stop here! Have a child with a severe food allergy and our waitress was very helpful! She was also kind and very nice! The food was great and we loved looking at all the stuff there! Not sure why their ratings on here are low. It did take a little while for the food but it was worth the wait. Clearly if we wanted fast food that started like fast food we could have gone to McDonalds! I would say the courteous and kindness of the staff is what sticks out the most! Great job we will return next time we pass thru!!!!!

Expanded selection to please all kinds of hunger. Great service even on a holiday (Labor Day) Try the blueberry pancakes! The prices are outstanding for the large portions, and you can modify almost anything to your liking.

Stopped here for breakfast before my flight out of AEX airport. It's nice that's it's open on Sundays. Lots of places are closed down there. I ordered plate that came with pancakes, eggs, and a choice of bacon or sausage. I chose sausage. My boyfriend ordered the French toast and a side of bacon. We also Both ordered the fresh squeezed OJ. It was nice and refreshing with some pulp. Everything was good. Wished the pancakes were fluffy. The service was good. The hostess and server were friendly. The food came pretty quickly.

This Cracker Barrel is the only actual restaurant in a cluster of several hotels and gas stations, with not much else around. There is also a McDonalds, Burger King, and a pretty good BBQ place that I think closes early. The service is pretty bad at this Cracker Barrel. It was very disorganized, and I was completely forgotten once seated. Waitress was apologetic, but she mostly abandoned me even after I ordered. It wasn't even busy. Pretty terrible. But, the food was actually surprisingly good (despite receiving not quite what I ordered). Chicken Fried Steak was pretty tasty. The food saved it, otherwise I'd give this place one star.

Took the family to this location and we were not impressed. After waiting over an hour they brought out my wife's food which was a soup and salad. Then 15 minutes later they brought my food and 2 of my kids food. It was all Luke warm and the fried food had turned soft. Then 15 minutes later they brought out my last daughters food (chicken fingers!). The entire time we were there we didn't get 1 refill of our drinks. We talked to the manager and he apologized and comped the ticket. I would have rather had good food and service and paid the bill.

This was our only choice. It is within walking distance of the hotel. Service was prompt and we were seated right away. The food was chain food but filled us up and was cheap and we would return in a pinch as we were.

Server Jazz was hospitable and personable. Food was awful. . Overcooked eggs and misadventures portions nothing thick about bacon, sausage or ham. Everything cooked to a crisp paid but didn't eat.

Do not go here. Sat 20 minutes for a disgruntled waitress to take a drink order. She never came back with the drinks or to take a food order. We got up and left. I realize this isn't fine dining but you'd be better off going to the subway at the Exxon down the street. Waste of time on an already long driving day.

First time I'd ever been to a Cracker Barrel after moving from out West last fall. Excited to try it, there was a half hour wait so I figured it must be quite good. Well, the service was rather unfriendly- waitress didn't smile, grumbled asking my order. The food was pretty good, tasty eggs, pancakes above average, sausage patty tasty but kinda small. I wasn't really impressed by the breakfast menu- no scrambles to choose from and few omelets- just mainly straightforward egg, meat, and pancake/buiscuit type choices- along with steak or chicken friend steak. I've been to chains like Perkins or even Denny's that had a greater variety of selections. Thus is it worth waiting 30 minutes for? Debatable- the food was good, but the service was subpar. Alexandria has few other breakfast choices, especially on weekends, so you can't do a whole lot better elsewhere unfortunately.

Cracker Barrels for me are all the same. The food is decent. The service is okay. The candies and merchandise in the shop are fun but unnecessary. It's fine comfort food in a pinch. I stick mainly to the breakfast menu. They do make a good meatloaf though.

Very disappointing! Biscuits were as hard as a rock. We requested fresh biscuits and were brought 2. We were told they were fresh, but they weren't. Ordered unsweet tea and received sweet. Service was very slow. The Chicken & Dumpling and Chicken BLT were mediocre. Our waitress never asked if we needed anything or how our meals were. Our waitress brought us our bill about half way through dinner and were told if we needed anything to let her know... We never saw her again. At check out we were not greeted. We did get a "thanks" as we finished paying. Not the customer service or quality of food you expect from Cracker Barrel.

I typically love their breakfasts, but this one was a bit disappointing. I'm thinking it is the chef's possibly since the wait staff was just as wonderful as at any other CB. The biscuits were good as usual, but the eggs were not cooked as well as I had asked. They were more over-easy and a bit runny in the whites. The biggest complaint though? The grits. As a southener, I have learned that we all like a different amount of butter in our grits. Even at my parents, they make the grits, but you butter your own. The first day, my grits had butter floating on the top of them. YUCK! The next day, while not as bad, there was still a lot more butter than I would personally put in them. I really wanted to question the chef and ask where he was from. I can't say I will never stop at this one again, but I'll just order pancakes next time.

I ate here a couple years ago, before I discovered Yelp. My husband was getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan from Ft Polk and I flew down to say goodbye. We ate breakfast at this Cracker Barrel and it was one of the biggest REGRETS of my life! No exaggeration. Hours after breakfast (which were extremely runny scrambled eggs but it took so long to get our order that I just ate them without sending them back) I started to feel ill. Fast forward through the gory stuff... I have never had such awful food poisoning in my entire life. Even beats out food poisoning in Morocco!! I ended up having to go to some HOSPITAL in the middle of the night to get an injection to make me stop vomiting and you know what. Food poisoning from Cracker Barrel. I have never set foot in another Cracker Barrel but will always remember this location as the worst (and I mean worst) eating mistake of my life. Eat there at your own risk!!

Hit this place often, to break up the boredom, stretch my legs, take care of one or two bodily functions and occasionally I stay long enough to grab a meal. The food is good and hot, the sweet tea is delicious and the bathrooms are clean. There is enough kitsch in here to keep your eyes busy and enough menu options, all of them very tasty, to more than satisfy your hunger til your next stop or final destination.

Normal cracker barrel food. They just started a new dish called BBQ Pork Platter and the cook didn't know how to make it. Hmmmm maybe you should start to learn to cook the meal before you introduce it not make my meal the first you make. Service was a little flustered because of the new menu items but overall good.

Not sure why this place has such a bad rating. My service was excellent and the breakfast was great, just like every other Cracker Barrel I've been to.

I understand the restaurant had been busy all day - because of father's day - but service was horrible. All the waiter did was apologize, over and over, table by table, about people having not received their food. I sat for over 15 minutes before I even received my drink and had to specifically ask they bring out biscuits while I waited another 20 minutes for my food. Two people just left and two others asked to take their food to go because they had waited so long. My waiter was doing his best but he was overwhelmed and really needed help.

This place has been good in the past and I began to expect this, but the last time we were in the waiter was not friendly and didn't come by to refill the tea glasses. I also ordered the fillett of fish and found bones in it. Just what would have happened if a child would have gotten this piece of fish and got the bone in his or her throat??? Very disappointing

Went for supper at the Cracker Barrel on a Friday night. We were seated immediately. Wait staff was right at our table. Brought us each 2 drinks right away. I had the chicken fried steak with the hashbrown casserole, coleslaw, and steak fries. Meal was very good. It was not the best ever chicken fried steak, but it was good. Hasbrown casserole seemed a little old, cloeslaw was good, and steak fries were crispy. Enjoyed the cornbread and biscuits.
