This place is actually pretty good. I had a steak that was pretty tasty and my husband had ribs. He's a pretty picky rib customer and he really enjoyed them. Service was fast and friendly. The salad bar was clean and well stocked. I also really liked the country store. Overall a really good experience.

I went here as a visitor to the town to have a meeting with the Rotary Club. It took a while to get even my drink order placed, because the waitress was trying to bring out the food and would quickly run away. However, the service was really nice and waitresses looked all very fast paced and busy. Also, the food came out at all different times which was kind of awkward to be eating at different times. I had a chicken Croissant with fries and the fries were yummy but the chicken sandwich had way too much mayonnaise. It was only 6.99 though so it was cheaper than the other items. It was an okay experience, but it could improve the quality of chicken sandwich.

I went here today with a co-worker for lunch and it was a nice restaurant. Of course it was busy, so it took about 30 minutes for our waiter to come and take our drink order, and the food took another 30 minutes. I got "The Club" with french fries and my coworker got the "Roasted tomato & grilled chicken panini" with chips. They were both great meals for a descent price. The gift shop was also nice. Very friendly staff.

This is a great place to stop for dinner. The tilapia was more than pleasurable, too. My only qualm with the establishment is the decoration, which I find a bit gaudy and overbearing.

Visited the Pine Mountain Grill for lunch couple weeks ago (refer to the pictures posted "me digging in." Had a very typical Eastern Kentucky lunch, big chicken mashed potatoes, green beans and couple rolls. It was very good and I had to end up getting a box to take home with me. I was invited to eat here but the prices are actually really good for the food quality. Customer service is really great too as I spoke with the waitress and she was very amiable and helpful. Let me repeat it again just to make sure you get this... their chicken is awesome!

The Pine Mountain Grill is a beautiful establishment nestled off the road that leads into Whitesburg, next to McDonalds. My visit here was to attend the Rotary club meeting. The waitresses were very friendly, but never offered me a menu and just assumed I wanted the special. After a 15 minute wait for my drink, it was brought to me and I must say the sweet tea was great ! Then soon after the waitress took my order and from looking at the menu, I had a hard time deciding because there were so many options! Ale food looked great, but I decided on the Mediterranean Chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and salad bar. The Salad bar far exceeded my expectations. There was so much variety that I finally after a long time of searching through restaurant could put everything I wanted on my salad Then shortly after my food arrived and I was really shocked. The chicken was so bare next to a bowl of potatoes, now when they say looks can be deceiving, I would say this is true, the chicken was superb! I found myself wanting more after. The only thing I would offer is better servicing. The food arrived at random times and it was a bit distracting eating while others weren't.

I've been to this place many, many times. If it's during a busy period the service can be a little lax, but the food is always amazing. Their Out Of This World Ribs are the Number 1 reason to go there, and as many places as I've had BBQ ribs, this place takes the cake! I've tried several other menu items, but I always come back to the ribs, for good reason. Along with their perfect yeast rolls, which are an upgraded throwback to my high school cafeteria lunches (lets be honest - rolls and pizza were the two best things back then). They also have a very fresh salad bar that is constantly being updated - just be sure you don't arrive close to closing, or they may actually take items away to clean up as you're trying to fill your plate! Their sweet tea is also perfection - just make sure it's actually sweet and don't hesitate to send it back if it's not - they'll make you a fresh glass and be sure to add sweetener for a proper southern tea. Also, their gift shop has a lot of nice little odds and ends. Very cute stuff.
