Having spotted the awning while passing through Radcliff, Kentucky, we decided to stop by for dinner. (To our pleasant surprise, the owner/manager was a previous restaurant owner of one of our favorite establishments in Elizabethown, Kentucky. ) The complimentary breadsticks and marinara were very fresh and our server was most generous in keeping us refilled. She did a very good job checking on our table and refilling our drinks. We enjoyed the Fettuccini Alfredo, Grilled Chicken Parmesan, and Kids Cheeseburger and fries. We will definitely return again and tell others about it.

Yeah, they're closed, and have been so since late March. It's pretty sad that they didn't bother to make it clear to those coming by whether their closure is permanent or otherwise - frankly, I didn't post that they were closed back in March because when I stopped by to try something new and the place was closed for food service, the handy-men convinced me it was because of some broken glass that they were actively working to fix. There I go, believing people... Which led to an additional 4 visits, while never finding them open during their normal business hours. Anyway. This place is no longer. Defunct. Otherwise disposed. Done. And from my initial two experiences, not much of a loss.

Went to DaVinci's on 1-27 and was not pleased. I ordered the baked lasagna and a salad. I was asked if I wanted my salad prior to eating and I told the waitress yes. Never recieved the salad and when my lasagna came out it was luke warm at best. This is the second time I have gave them a chance and both times have been disappointed. They need an incredible amount of help with their servers being trained and apparently the cooks in the back as well. I give it maybe six more months and it will be closed.

This just opened up, we found the food to be good for a new restaurant. They served Pepsi products which was a plus, the service we received was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Areas this place could improve upon are there was minimal decor so it wasn't very Italian and they could have brought out breadsticks or bread with the meal. Overall not bad I will certainly come back again.

I love the new Italian restaurant in the area. My husband and I both loved our meals. Mine was a veggie pannini on which I left off the cheese since I don't eat meat and cheese. It was delicious. Delicate but lively seasoning. We even ordered desert which was perfect - chocolate raspberry cake. It's a very up to date restaurant. The decor and atmosphere is nice, simple, and warm - the current trend in eateries. The plentiful staff was attentive and very friendly. I will go again.

I went with my friend two weeks ago for the $5.99 lunch buffet. We were a little dissapointed. First the buffet was not maintained and kept full and fresh. The pasta had looked like it was sitting out for a while, and didn't appear appetizing. The pizza was the hit, everyone wanted the hot fresh pizza, and you had to wait 10 minutes for the next pizza to come out. Secondly, the placement of the buffet is awkward. It's situated right under the service window. While patrons are trying to get to the buffet, the wait staff is hovering over trying to pull orders out of the kitchen window. Some things to work on... add more decor, put salt and pepper on the tables (had to ask waiter), consider relocating buffett within the restaurant, maintain buffet, and offer some sort of bread.

Staff was very confused. Asked for a Greek salad and got a garden salad with random toppings with ranch dressing. Food was way over priced. Odd experience to say the least.

I wasn't expecting much since the reviews didn't seem very good but my husband wanted to come here. I was pleasantly surprised. The food on the buffet had good taste and there was a good variety. My only complaint is that the temperature could have been hotter. Service was quick. I will come back for lunch again.

I have not gone into eat at this place because it's decor is not inviting. However, the menu does look appealing. Being in a small town a place should have a line out the door if it's worth coming to. When I arrived around 8pm on a Saturday night and seeing ONE customer at the bar, should be enough to tell you this place may need Robert Irvine's or Gordon Ramsey's help. Mind you, I have high standards when it comes to red velvet cake and cannolis. However, since there was a special occasion and I needed something quick and simple I took the risk of trying their desserts. Cannolis are made in such a way that unless it's only been in the case for about an hour it's really not worth eating. However, the first ever cannoli I ate was a day old and the softness of what is supposed to be crisp of the shell is actually my preference. So, my standards aren't 'that' high. So, the shell of this cannoli met my satisfaction and so did the taste. Yet, most cannolis are supposed to be filled. This one looked like they took a teaspoon and placed half of the filling on each end! Needless to say it was a great disappointment. Had it been filled to its expectation this review would be raving! Then the red velvet. For one, most dessert cases are not set to a normal refrigerator level. If anything, most bakeries I've been to don't even have a refrigerated case! So, putting a red velvet cake in a fridge should only be to set the icing. Otherwise, all of what should be moist, velvety and smooth becomes dry and crumbly. Yup! That's what I got. If my feedback serves a purpose, it is in hopes that the owners do not take insult but only to look at what opportunity there may be to make this place a standing room only restaurant and one I'd be willing to retract my review to change to raving.

I was so disappointed in this restaurant. I had been looking forward to their opening, as it is the only Italian place here in town...something different, you know? What a joke. Waitresses didn't know the menus, food was sub-par at best, everything was overpriced and/or unflavored. The calzone I ordered literally had 3 nickle sized pieces of pepperoni in the entire thing, with about 2 cups ricotta cheese in its place..making it watery an inedible. The dough itself tasted like cardboard. The only thing I DID like, was the spinach/artichoke dip, which is why they got 2 stars vs 1! Save your money and cook at home instead of trying this out..unless they REALLY get their mess together!

Mmm... Not impressed at all. I was a little confused when I started reading the menu. Was I at an Italian restaurant? They had gyros on there. Their entrees were a little less to be desired. I settled for the panini with the meat in there. I could have literally took left over oil home that dripped of the sandwich. Don't get me wrong the taste was good. And I wanted to eat it. Way to oily, by time you have the olive oil and then the oil from the meats.

I visited for lunch. It was my first time so I tried the buffet. Small salad bar. Limited options for entrees. Spaghetti, Mac n chz, potatoes with cheese and tomato sauce, couple of pizzas and one soup. No meat options at all. That was disappointing. Service was below average. Had to ask another waitress for soda refill. Then my waitress brought a refill and two breadsticks. This was after I had been to the buffet 3 times. (I was hungry ;-). She could have brought them out sooner. Bill was $8.63 which I thought was fair if there had been more meat options on the buffet. Without that, I felt it was overpriced. Overall, I will stop by again. It's a new place and really the only Italian option in Radcliff. Hopefully it will be better.

Went here for lunch today. This is a brand new restaurant. We were not impressed. The spaghetti didn't have anywhere near enough sauce, nor did the rest of the pasta dishes on the buffet. The meatballs were from Sysco. There isn't even an Italian flag!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
