Best pizza I've had in a while! Love love love, was a little sad they didn't have pizza by the slice on Saturday due to them being busy but it was well worth getting the whole pie. So delicious- I will definitely be back! Garlic minis were also delicious, husband has also a calzone there and loved it too.

Pizza is thin and not flavorful. Sauce is bland and watery. Service is slooow. Beer options are lacking. I wish we would have driven to Westport Village and ate at Tony Boombozz - they have a larger selection of specialty pizzas and a much better beer selection.

Usually very good pizza. Eating there seems Better than the delivery but still is very good. I would like to see something on menu that was a more exotic Pizza as I believe the very upscale neighborhood would support such exotics such as sausage, fennel and shiitake mushrooms with buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato just to mention a few. Goat cheese or smoked Gouda would also be nice with pancetta and artichoke heart. Overall excellent for quality

We've been here several times had great service. If today was my first visit, I would never be back!

The tagline on this pizza place is NY Style Pizza. True NY Style pizza is a thin crust, paper thin crust. You can even fold a slice in half. Outside of NY, this delicacy is hard to find. The crust is never thin enough. Johnny Brusco's is a decent pizza. It is a decent combination of sauce, cheese, toppings. The garlic knots are delicious. The pizza crust, however, is not NY style. The crust is thick and very doughy. This is not the paper thin crust of true NY Style. So the tagline is not accurate if you are a are looking for NY Style.

We LOVE this place and visit at least once a week but today the food was not up to par and service was definitely lacking. My husband didn't get what he ordered and the server didn't check back. I ordered two slices which were obviously very old w some pepperoni thrown on top. Balls were way over done. Hoping to return with a better experience.

Excellent pizza!! Thinish crust (I could just sit and eat the crust) with a yummy sauce and any of the toppings we've had are outstanding. Service was fantastic would come back in a heartbeat!! Only downside would be ordered the macaroni and cheese and it wasn't that. It was pasta with some mozzarella on it which was a little disappointing. But it was still yummy.

Edible but nothing special. Need to work on both sauce and crust. It's not truly New York style either. More like hand tossed. Kudos for offering it by the slice though. Draft selection isn't so great either.

Great pizza place and easy to get to by walking. Every time I go the stuff is very nice to me. They even offer me a to go cup at the end of eating to take the drink home with me and if I'm not finished they offer it to go container for me. I recommend this restaurant to several people and they all love it.

"You can have a seat where-ever you like!" I love options :-) This was my greeting upon entering Johnny Brusco's. I have visited Johnny's a total of three times so far- and every time- it has been delicious. Plus 3 stars for consistency. You need not look far to talk to someone in charge if you need something you don't see, because your server is also your proud local owner, and she is here to fill up your belly with deliciousness and your drink whenever you get to draining it (even if it's water). It is of UTMOST importance to we water drinkers that they are full most of the time- even though you aren't making money on it. Filling up that water cup shows you care :-) Thanks for keeping me hydrated, I think I'll partake in another brew as a result. Generosity breeds itself I suppose? They were EXTREMELY busy when I came in and I managed to post-up perfectly in a corner booth complete with outlet for access to their FREE WiFii- thanks Johnny's! I didn't see the Wifii advertised, but I took a chance and was rewarded. I ordered the Buffalo Sub and received a pickle and fries for $7.99 (included in the Friday lunch special- see menu for DAILY specials- I love daily things because I get bored with the same old same old) with extra sauce on the side and a side of 312 ($4 for 16 oz). Even more delicious when I saw my receipt! I order buffalo-style anything and it was good. I also had a tasty side of ranch to accompany and some extra sauce- it was good. The sauce had an extra italian-ish spice to it if there is such a thing, but that was appropriate for a restaurant serving mostly basil and parsley based dishes + subs of course. Street parking -but there isn't any competition for it. Norton Commons is well designed in that you don't have to go too far for much. I learned that they will soon be working with more local owners to start up a dessert menu and a LOCAL wine menu with other businesses (Copper Cupcakes (the best mind blowing cupcakes that are perfect for everyday anything celebrations and the big stuff too!) and the local wine shop) in Norton Commons- just think, you can get a pizza and then an amazing pastry, all in one place. Yes! And there is collaboration to boot. It's like one big local ball of awesome. I was able to sample their new rotating tap (Matilda by Goose Island) served in a wine glass. It was suggested that I try it since I ordered a 312 Urban Wheat (both served in the PROPER glasses mind you- I can't even begin to tell you how OCD I can get about that at other places!) and learned that they have a rotating tap every 2 weeks. Not too bad. I was eating alone (No sad faces! I was getting 'work' done)- and received tons of interaction. It was a nice lunch. I received excellent service at Johnny's and I will be back. Five stars- well earned. I'm looking forward to their Valentine's Day pizza's, yea, I found out they would be heart-shaped. How can you not heart that?

My husband and I just moved to "The 'Ville". forget the unpacking, forget our search for some new furniture, our first priority has been to find our perfect go-to NY style pizza place. The quest is over. Johnny Brusco's is it! I was invited to lunch by two of our new neighbors and we made our way through the lovely Norton Commons. Parking was no problem, but it may have been because we'd beaten the lunch crowd. I love that they offer pizza by the slice and ordered a regular cheese and an antipasto salad. While the salad was delicious, I was delighted when my two slices arrived. The crust - perfect with cornmeal on the bottom, gritty and exactly the way it should be made. The outside crust was soft but sturdy enough to support "the fold". The sauce - tasty but not overly done. The sauce should not drip off the slice. The cheese - not too much with the right amount of oil glistening on the surface (or grease, as my hubby would call it). I was so excited I ordered a medium to go. The price was $12.99, around what we used to pay for a large back home, but well worth it. My husband declared we have found it - our new pizza place in our new town!

Buffalo chicken pizza was delicious. Garlic knots sinfully good. Beer cold. Nice place and people. Will make it a regular stop.

Located in the new community of Norton Commons. This place has a great atmosphere with multiple flat screens to catch a game. The wings are great, big and meaty. Try the Carolina Gold sauce. It's a honey mustard based sauce and is very very good. The pizza is New York style and is pretty good, although I've had better. They deliver within 5 miles of Norton Commons. That is huge!!! We will be eating Johnny Bruscos a lot. 4 stars overall for location, convenience, food and service.

Pizza.to few toppings on it. It was hard to find any sausage or mushrooms that we had ordered on it. Sauce was good.

We live in the neighborhood and dine here pretty regularly both for take out and dine in. We love the outdoor seating which is ample with both covered and uncovered options. We have a small dog and typically bring her when we eat outside and it had never been a problem, which is SO nice. The service is always friendly and prompt. The food never disappoints. I have tried nearly everything on the menu. My favorites include the house calzone and Stromboli, Johnny's special, lasagna, and the garlic knots. They've done a lot of Groupons and Living Social deals too which is nice. Dollar slice night on Mondays. Give them a try!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
