Yummy beef Nachos! Very friendly atmosphere. This is the best Mexican food in town. It's a small place compared to most in town. Friendly service and the prices are fair. Service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait.

Best true Mexican food I've ever had in my life!! Portions were huge! Prices were low! Salsa was excellent with the perfect amount of cilantro. Everything was fresh and service was top notch. Will be coming back here again!!!

I ordered the quesadilla, yuck. The chicken was dry, it was filled with mainly onions, nasty tomatoes and barely any cheese. My husbands food was burnt. The queso dip was definitely a mixture of sour cream and cheese but the sour cream was over-powering. Very disappointed.

The only Authentic Mexican Food in Owensboro!! Originally from So Cal and I had been missing REAL Mexican food, since relocating to Kentucky. Hubby & I tried out this place on the recommendation of a co-worker. He had Carnitas & I had Carne Asada tacos. Bother were absolutely delicious. Chips are fresh & salsa is very tasty, not too spicy. We will definitely be back!

The salsa is on the spicy side but not overpowering. The chips are tasty. I had the twin burritos with chicken in them. They were good not great. My dining partner had the fajita quesadilla. It arrived with no cheese sauce so we ordered some additional cheese sauce. Overall good service. Passable food.

We ordered take out from here last night. It was amazing! I ordered when I arrived & it took less than 10 minutes to receive our food. We had crunchy beef tacos, chicken enchiladas & a kid's quesadilla. We also had the cheese dip (so yummy). Everything was delicious, including the sides of beans & rice. Highly recommended.

Very popular spot - packed on Thursday evening. Service was OK even though they were slammed. Margaritas & guacamole were excellent. Chips were average, salsa was fresh & tasty. Bean burros kind of bland, tacos carne asada better. Worth a stop for American-style Mexican food.

Met here with some friends on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. It's not a fancy place by any means. It had a mix match of different type tables and chairs. The safe greeted us and were very friendly. The chips were hot and the salsa tasted fresh and spicy. I ordered a the quesadilla Veracruz with chicken. It the food came out fast. I enjoyed the chicken in the quesadilla, it had a lot of seasoning that wasn't overpowering. The onions and peppers were okay, they could've been cooked just a minute or two longer. The rice was the usual Mexican restaurant variety, not amazing but not bad. I'll come back and try the other food if I'm in the mood for Mexican. If I'm looking to meet with some people and spend a few hours at a restaurant, I'll probably try another, because the atmosphere isn't the best. The food is pretty good though.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
