    Yelp says delivery, but they use a taxi service with a 6 dollar surcharge. I decided to pickup my order instead. I ordered a Plain Jane (cheese pizza with basil and oregano) and some garlic knots. The garlic knots weren't all that great, could have used a little more garlic, but the marinara given for dipping was excellent. Next time I will ask for two marinara sauces since one doesn't seem to cover the 6 large pieces of bread. The pizza was good, not excellent...just ok. Keep in mind that I play picked up my order, so it wasn't oven to table. The oregano and basil was a nice touch, added color and tasted great. The crust could have been a little better, maybe more butter or a little more crispy. I checked out the menu, and some other photos here on Yelp, so I may just try this place again. The Righteous Pig pizza looks excellent in the pictures, so next time I may dine in, and give that a try!

    I've heard about this place so much I was very eager to try it out. I haven't had very much pizza since coming to Louisville, but so many people voiced their disappointment when the Bardstown location closed so I figured it must be worth the try! Fortunately for me, I decided to stop in a few days after the snow storm. It was absolutely empty inside.Usually that would have been a concern, except I had passed a week earlier and they were packed - so I knew it was solely due to the weather. Anyhow, I sat down at the bar and was greeted immediately. I told the bartender it was my first time visiting so I wanted some suggestions. He recommended a lovely red wine (of course I forgot the name) and the tex-mex pizza slice. I ordered the slice and also a side ceasar salad. The bartender recommended adding bacon to the salad because apparently that's something they do. ::shrugs:: It was absolutely delish. That bacon could have been an appetizer all on it's own. Pizza was good - crust was a little tough - but the flavor was definitely there. Overall I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. But I'm planning to go back for just a plain slice... to me that's where the truth will reveal itself. I'll update accordingly.

    Craving Italian and tried this place, a little hole in the wall but great food and a fun environment. We sat in the patio and both had "righteous pig" entrees, myself the pasta and he the calzone! Salads are AMAZING...even if a bit overpriced. Overall a thumbs up, good for a chill night.

    Was out exploring today and found Papalinos. Righteous Pig! This pizza is great! We also got the bacon Mac n cheese for an appetizer. The bacon on the Mac n cheese and also the pizza is seriously good bacon. It is so good I want to order bacon to go! Wish their was one closer to our home.

    Probably my top 5 favorite pizza places in louisville! Papalinos has AMAZING pizza and the beer on tap is up to par for my taste. It's the place you take your cool beer drinking father who loves thick cheesy pizza with artisan toppings. You can order a single slice with whatever you want on it or 14" or 18" pizzas. They even smoke/cure their own meats in house. They used to have a location off Bardstown Road near my house but they since opened a more sit down style place near Springhurst, but because I love the pizza so much, I am more than willing to drive all the way out there for some grub and beer! It's a must go pizzeria, amazing food and beer

    Louisville's pizza scene is really competitive and this place just doesn't make the cut. First off, this particular building is way too small. There's virtually no place to wait around for a table to become available, especially if it's cold outside. My party of 5 came to the consensus that our particular server was...well, a sassy lady, to put it nicely. One of my friends asked for their beer selection, and sassy lady just handed her a folded piece of paper to look over. I have tons of respect for those in the service industry but it's an essential part of the job to memorize the menu. It took ages to keep our drinks filled. The bathroom area was creepy, there was this fluorescent light flickering that was reminiscent of any horror movie where the zombies overrun the hospital. I hope that makes sense. Creepy, got it? I ordered a calzone and it came out burnt. It took awhile for them to bring it to me, and I was hangry anyway so I didn't want to wait any longer. I'll pick at it, get it to-go, and slather it in melted garlic butter like a real calzone for some drunk leftovers later. I gotta say, the chalk walls in the bathroom with chalk to draw is an awesome idea. That's about it for what I really liked here. There's too many other phenomenal pizza places around to leave a bad first impression in this foodie city.

    First off, based on what we had tonight this was not NY style pizza at all. It was thicker than that standard, lacked crunch on the bottom of the crust and had a bit of sogginess in the middle. We had a 14" trio, zero taste of fennel in the sausage, we found the canned mushrooms lacked in flavor and the pizza itself was just firmly okay. With a good NY pizza place about 5 miles it's doubtful that we'll be back.

    So we come back and again food is good, service is better but they have no plates, no silverware, no napkins, no red wine. The server did the best he could. One of the two pizzas came out wrong even though he entered it correctly. We ate out of bowls. Get your crap together management!

    Disclaimer! We used to go to the Baxter location on a regular basis. When it closed I was devastated. Springhurst is exponentially farther from New Albany and the traffic and construction kept us from driving over and checking this location out. Now- on with the review! We got there around 6:45 and it was already busy. We were behind several families and there was about a 45 minute wait for tables but there was a two-top right by the bar that was empty so we were seated right away. Of course, being busy we knew it would be a wait so we ordered beverages (beer for him, iced tea for me) and settled in because we knew it would be a while. We started with the Meatball Al Forno appetizer. It was lovely. Tasty meatballs, plenty of sauce and cheese and grilled bread. Hubby was enamoured and decided he would definitely order it as a meal on our next visit. We moved on to the 14" Cheese pizza. We find that you can always judge a pizza joint by its basic Cheese Pie. It was as good as we remembered from Baxter. Cracker crisp crust, tangy sauce, plenty of cheese and fresh basil. The only difference- the outside edge is not as big and fluffy as before and frankly, we miss it. It's what makes a NY Pie unique. Plus- with the bigger outside edge- you get more bubbles and we fight over bubbles! Plus- the bigger the outside crust the more to hold on to when you fold it over. Finally, we moved on to Zeppoli. If you don't love Zeppoli- the Italian version of Beignets- you just dont' know what you are missing. When they came out, piping hot and smelling like Heaven, Hubby said "Wow- isn't that a lot of powdered sugar?" Well- yes but good Zeppoli is doused in it. And then there is the blueberry puree that comes with it. Homemade blueberry puree; just tart enough to cut through the sugar and balance it out perfectly. We took them home with us and they were divine. So- to sum it up. Our server was lovely. They were busy enough that she was being pulled in a million directions but she didn't miss a step. The food was great. We were pleased with the new dishes and comforted that the sauce and cracker thin crust had not changed. Our only criticisms are that we need that bigger outer edge back. Oh- and the parking situation is GREAT compared to trying to find on-street parking. A nice big, well-lit lot. That was a happy surprise. Note to the owners- you NEED to re-open closer to the west-side or maybe come across the bridge into Indiana!. Where I used to feed my staff lunch from the other store- we just can't do that with a 30-40 minute ride back across the bridge. We will definitely be back, it just can't be as often as it was when it was so convenient. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

    Papalino's serves the best pizza in Louisville! I love that they use fresh ingredients; you can really taste the difference. You can't go wrong with any of the specialty pies you can order, so be adventurous. I HIGHLY recommend trying their knots. When I went there last night, we did half garlic and the other half cinnamon. The cinnamon knots were very tasty.

    This is my go-to place when I'm in Louisville for business. Pizza is very good with quality toppings and you can order by the (huge) slice. One slice is more than enough for me. They have a good bottled craft beer selection, but I could use a few more draft options. Service has been friendly during each of my visits. I'll continue to go back when im in town.

    This is hands down. The absolute best pizza anywhere in Louisville. No joke. You must try this place. Amazing pizza. Homemade toppings like whole milk ricotta and sweet Italian sausage. All Of the meats are cured in house in a curing room. Smh it's unreal!!! Do yourself a justice. Eat here!! You will never regret it!! Amazing white pizza as well and really good garlic knots.

    So-So. Place has so much potential and was highly disappointed. They opened about 3 weeks ago and are clearly not up to speed yet. The service was not good. Ver slow and uninformed on the menu and how to properly explain or describe the items. I like that pizza is available by the slice at all hours. They have a nice draft selection and are open late on the weekends. It amazes me places open and are not prepared. Often a patron who has a good experience will return and those that dont wont. With a new business it is critical to build a strong following right away. I would not go back here anytime soon until they have a few more months to work out all the kinks. To many other choices. This is precisely not what a new business would want to hear but just being honest. Should have had their act together before they ever opened the doors to take in their 1st customer.

    This is not good food. It's Olive Garden bad. We ordered the pizza Margherita and it was terrible (for a Margherita). It's the most basic pie and how you screw it up, I now know. They cover it with Pesto (not Margherita) and some cheese. Then they put 1/2 a cherry tomato on each slice (not Margherita) and balsamic reduction (not Margherita) and no fresh tomato sauce (not Margherita)! It's crust is not well cooked. The service was just ok. I asked for a side of tomato sauce and they gave me a tablespoon from the refrigerator for 50 cents. That's really poor. It gets 2 stars for the beer selection and price of beer. The owners have obviously never eaten at Coals.

    We called for take out. Ordered cheese sticks, 14" pepperoni, and a special order calzone. The calzone was ordered without cheese due to an allergy. Since they fix vegan pizzas I thought they could handle an allergy order. They put parmesan cheese on the calzone. Which isn't too big a deal, they just remake it. Except it takes 20-25 minutes to cook a calzone. So we asked if they were remaking the pizza and cheese sticks also. Nope!!!!! Oh could they put that in the warmer while we waited an extra 30 mins? Are you kidding me? The pizza & cheese sticks got home barely warm. It was ridiculous. Spend almost $40 for slightly warm pizza. I hope they enjoy it because that's the last $40 they get from us.

    Food Is great. Service sucks. We order our favorite moscato wine that only they have what we got was a somthing different. In the words of the waitress we were put and hoped you would not notice. It ended up taking us 1.5 hours to get our food. Others were leaving. We were hungry so we stuck it out. It was so bad they ended up comping our entire meal. The waitress was the one that told us the manager was no where to be found. Did even visit our table. We may go back if and when we have 2 -3 hours to kill. Hope it gets better food is awesome service and management stinks

    We visited Papalino's for the first time last night and it was great! We had the Hawaiian pizza...instead of the Barbecue sauce, we had the regular pizza sauce and added their DELICIOUS mushrooms....the ham was great. We will definitely be going back!

    ... I have...... I really just don't know what to say about this place. It's not the food... No quite the opposite. I loved the food and love is almost an understatement. The cheese bread were amazing(again, understated) and the pizza had the deliciousness you'll really rarely find outside of NYC's borders. No the problem here is service. Now, let me explain that my complaint isn't with any employee. I've been there twice and both times or servers were very satisfactory. It's just that... Listen, anytime it takes 30 minutes to just receive an appetizer and then 15 more for your meal, there is something wrong. I'm also not counting that it took 30 more minutes to be seated(doesn't really bother me). As I've stated earlier, my wife and I have eaten there 2 times. I gave them a free pass the first time and argued that they are in fact new(opening week) and in a busy part of town. But I simply can't defend the wait anymore. I could go into a real NYC's Pizzeria and have my food in 10 minutes. Sure the atmosphere wouldn't be as "fancy" but there simply has to be something to be done. I didn't care when it was opening week, but It pains me to see this place suffer from slow service. I truly write this with love because this is some of the best pizza in town and I haven't given up on you.
