There's not too much to say about Moe's. You know what you're in for. I like to go for the Monday burrito special which is usually $5.99 for a burrito, chips, salsa, and a drink, but can vary by location. Mondays are usually pretty busy because of this though. What I love about Moe's is the fact that they offer tofu. I hear Chipotle will be doing this soon and may already be in some markets, but at least around here, that's unique. I don't always need a protein substitute to be happy, but it's always nice, especially when it's decently flavorful like the tofu at Moe's. Their ingredients always seem fresh enough, and I find the portions to be a good value for the price, at least on Mondays. My one disappointment with this particular Moe's is the staffing. The entire store seemed to be staffed by apathetic teenagers who didn't care to even look like they were making an effort. At one point, I asked for grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers, and the girl said something along the lines of, "Well so do you just want peppers? Cause that's all we have." instead of offering to grill up some more, a process which takes only a minute or two. I ended up asking for them later down the line when another employee put some more out. Beyond the staff being a little rude and unfamiliar with the menu, and the fact that my black beans were a little undercooked, it was a fine experience.

The food is usually good, but I guess I caught them on a bad day. Let's review, burrito artist, the ladle that you dipped the pork out with, has holes in it, that's for draining the water off BEFORE you put it in the tortilla. Second, when you rolled the sloppy mess up, you let some of the excess water/fat drain into the shredded lettuce container on the line, I doubt any vegetarian customers would appreciate that move. The dining room was a mess, photos attached, when we found a table and went to get our drinks, there were brown lemon slices in the bottom of the coke dispenser, photo attached, pretty gross. Now let's talk about the food, I took one bite, this was a dine on visit, and my tortilla disintegrated from being full of liquid. Take a look at the photo, pretty disgusting. Moe's, it's time to step up your game, Qdoba and Chipotle are less than five minutes away, that's probably where I will be going from now on.

It is an assembly line burrito place. Nothing stands out as very good, nothing is particularly bad. For the $5 Monday special for a burrito, chips and a drink, I consider it "Okay" Good: Pretty quick, not too expensive, comes with chips and salsa unlike Qdoba. Nice selection of salsas. Size of regular burrito is good without being huge. Meh: The "Welcome to Moe's" greeting is silly IMO since after about the 10th time on a weekday lunch hour, it sounds so tired and forced. Chips are basic. Meat is ho-hum, other toppings are decent. I like the chipotle sauce. Bad: Rice is really blah. Fancy Coke dispenser (the new touch screen ones with flavor options) means waiting forever in line and having to run the soda a little into the drain to get rid of the flavor of the last person's choice. Even just getting ice for the tea is a chore since you're stuck behind a half dozen people trying to choose the perfect soda blend. Overall the meal is just lacking flavor and quality, even compared to other fast food burrito chains (Qdoba and Chipotle mainly). So basically, there is nothing wrong with Moe's for a cheap and generally quick lunch. But there isn't much to get me out of my way to stop here either.

"Welcome to Moe's!" Greets me every time I walk in . Fun. Casual. I was expecting from the outside that Moe's was sit-down Southwest/Mexican food. It isn't. Instead I can most closely describe it as the south's answer to Chipotle - made to order tacos, burritos, nachos and the like made Subway-style up front with a chance to customize toppings and all-you-can-eat tortilla chips waiting for you. Your choice of beverage (beer included), a salsa bar, and (unlike Chipotle) really fantastic daily deals. If I were in college looking for a cheap meal that included fresh ingredients, I would eat here. If I worked by a Moe's it would easily become a stop for lunch. In my case I have a kid that loves going here because he can customize his burrito (chicken, black beans, rice, cheese sauce. Not of those suspicious looking vegetables thank you very much) and mama is happy because on Mondays I can get that whole meal for $5 and Wednesdays his kid's menu meal is free. Win.

I am typically a huge Moe's fan. Not last night unfortunately. I ordered my favorite vegetarian burrito, Art Vandalay Jr. and made it a meal deal which included a soda and a very small side of queso dip for about $8. The BAD: My burrito shell was undercooked and cold, quite frankly my food was flavorless even though it had plenty of ingredients that should make it burrito heaven! The help yourself salsa bar was a disaster, trash cans were overflowing and the tables/floor dirty. The GOOD: The queso was hot, creamy and very tasty. Service is reasonably quick. A lot of menu choices and great for kids. Perhaps this location was just understaffed for a busy Friday night...

Very unhelpful I have a party coming up and wanted to order the green tomatillo salsa to have at my party they said no at this location??? I could not order it. I have purchased it at other locations before however evidentially this Moes does not sell food at their restaurant.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
