I like McAlister's for a quick lunch or dinner, especially on a weekend. It's reliable: all of the locations have the same layout and feel to them, and you can expect that after placing your order you will receive your food fairly promptly. Staff is consistently polite, friendly, and attentive to filling up my iced tea as I enjoy my meal (I always order the tea, and theirs is consistently brewed to taste delicious). I like their selections, particularly the spuds and the Italian or Savannah Chopped Salads. I'm usually too full for their desserts, but when I've ordered the brownie to nibble on, it's had a great chocolate flavor and fudgy consistency. In sum: great iced tea (both sweet/unsweet), consistent food, consistent service. Overall, a good place to count on for a bite to eat!

Came into this location for a bowl of their all meat chili. That's all I wanted and that's all I ordered. The young lady at the register had a pissy attitude. The place wasn't busy so I'm not sure what made her so unhappy, but good customer service should always be your goal. First strike. Then I waited about 20 minutes to get my order of chili. WHY does it take so long to spoon the soup into a bowl when it's already prepared? No, seriously, please explain it to me. Second strike. Are you waiting for a third strike? There is none. The two strikes were enough to tell me not to bother visiting again. It's a shame too because that chili is a tasty bowl of obliterated meat.

Not good. That sums it up. I might be harsh but it's the truth. The place is employed with teenagers who don't give a shit about anybody but themselves. They talk to one another for 5 min before taking your order, give you not so nice looks, and stand around chit chatting when the food clearly is ready to be served just sitting on the counter. So yeah, their service sucks more than McDonald's or chick fil a. The food?... Is it even food?... The sandwiches suck. It's worse than a deli in the ghettoest part of town. All I can say is, I'll rather eat fast food than mcalliater's... I'm sorry.... It's just not worth the money. It's just really not that good.

I agree with KaLin. This McAlisters is run like a school cafeteria. Dirty nobody cares. Very slow service. Expect 30minutes to get your order.

Always consistent, clean, and friendly. Great location within the chain. I eat at this store all the time.

I'm only giving this 4 stars because I couldn't judge the ambience/service. I was sick and in bed and made my husband get a takeaway and bring it home to me. Ok, I wasn't sick or in bed, it was hot out, and I was lazy, and I wanted to watch a DVR'd episode of Breaking Bad. Sue me. First off, McAlister's is famous for their sweet tea. And living in the south, we take our sweet tea VERY seriously. We drink sweet tea like it is water and wars have been fought over how to brew the perfect sweet tea, and McAlister's is pretty damn perfect. A giant takeaway cup with a nice hunk of fresh lemon, the tea was a beautiful amber and perfectly sweetened. It's pretty ridiculously good, and when I was done I wanted more. My husband informed me had I actually gotten off the sofa and we had dined in I could have gotten free refills. Damn you comfy sofa and 90% humidity! I had the Orange cranberry club which was served on a seedy wheat bread which was lovely. It tasted like REAL food, and not weird faux Frankenstein Sandwich which is what a lot of " fast food deli" type places taste like to me. My side of potato salad was excellent, not mushy or creepy and with a nice mustardy flavour. We split an excellent piece of carrot cake which had a perfect cream cheese icing. I like this place. I will make him bring home food from here again. And a gallon of sweet tea!
