I eat Chicken Lo Mein anytime I go to a Chinese restaurant. The Lo Mein here was absolutely not edible. The meat tasted like spoiled soy sauce, the noodles themselves were ok but in no way did they taste like Lo Mein. It also left an after taste. I was not able to even eat a fifth of it and threw it away.

Uncomfortable dining room, but friendly staff. Moo shu is not your usual, but is good....go pork!

Good quality Chinese restaurant. Not exactly a crowded place, but usually a few people there during lunchtime. The owner waits on the tables herself and is extremely nice and pleasant, constantly worrying if you have enough to drink or need more rice. Food is a cut above your average Chinese place, most dishes seem to be more freshly prepared but nothing wow either. A nice alternative to the horrible Chinese buffets that dot the landscape these days.

Liu's Garden is our go-to Chinese delivery place, largely because of the online ordering. I had laryngitis the first time we ordered from them. We've never looked back, though! The food is good standard American-Chinese that is consistent, tasty, and quick. The General Tso's chicken and the dumplings are particularly good, and the service is always prompt and polite.

Very good Chicken & Broccoli. Very hot even when delivered. Decent price. Packaged very well, no leaks. Plenty of sauces and other items to complete the order.

Stopped here for lunch last week on my drive through KY. Ordered the General Tso's chicken (because other fellow Yelpers raved about that dish here), and I agreed, I found it to be quite good. On par with the Chinese places I use to eat at back East. I tried to order brown rice though, but was told it only comes with white rice. Wish Liu's Garden was located down in my neck of the woods, because I would definitely stop back in to sample other dishes.

I don't usually go to these small strip-mall Asian restaurants unless necessity dictates that I must, but after reading several reviews, and in need of something new for lunch today, I ventured out in the rain and gave this place a lunchtime shot. My mouth and tummy...happy they are. The place isn't much to look at...no fancy menus or decorations, but I'm OK with that. Some of the best places to eat have the worn-in dive look, anyway. So, anyway...to get to the point here... My first visit was lunch, in case you didn't catch that before, so my experience is limited, but still impressionable. I chose to go standard and get the General Tso's Chicken (named after General Tso Tsung-tang of the Qing Dynasty, for all of you history buffs...you never know, it could be the question on Final Jeopardy), and found it pretty good. The chicken was not soggy, like some places, but had a perfectly crispy exterior. The sauce wasn't too thin or thick, and not overly sweet. All that was missing was some broccoli (because I love the stuff). Now, I'm no expert on Chinese food, but this meal had less of that "straight from the freezer to the wok/fryer" taste, but I have been fooled before. Service was good, as well. Attended to quickly, checked on several times, but not too many times. I look forward to returning so I can try their pot stickers. I have a Chinese friend who always says "you can tell how good a Chinese restaurant is by their pot stickers". If they don't look handmade, then just get some at Costco and make them at home. Cheers!

This is or standard chinese delivery place. Good portions good food. I normally order the general tsos or the sesame chicken which are both very good. My wife gets the sweet and sour chicken which is very crispy and very good. One things for sure they will give you 57lbs of sauce packets whether you ask for them or not which tells me they care if you like the food or not.

Maybe there just isn't good Chinese anymore like there used to be! It seems as though anywhere I go outside the northeast is always a disappointment when I have that Chinese food craving. The egg rolls and spring rolls were TINY and tasteless. Literally just limp cabbage in the wrapper... No options for veggie dumplings and they charged for a side order or dumpling sauce despite us ordering two orders of rolls... I ordered a fried tofu dish as my entree that was supposed to come with broccoli--it had 3 tiny uncooked pieces in the corners seemingly as garnish. My boyfriend had beef and broccoli which by contrast was heavy on broc and light on beef. The quality of the meat was poor and fatty. The dinner entrees were expensive at over 10$ each and for the quality and lack of combo option I would not come back. The positive was fast delivery and no fee.

So the hubs went out of town to visit some family and I was stuck at home, not wanting to cook at all. My friend had written a review about this place so I decided to check it out. I ordered the sesame chicken, some crab rangoon and the small wanton soup. HOLY COW that was a lot of food! I've found ways to eat that for three other meals since then and I STILL have left overs! I must say that it was delicious :) And it only took 10 minutes, so after I called it in, I got there right in time for it to be finished. The sesame chicken was pretty sticky and had large pieces which was wonderful, and came with a ton of rice. The wanton soup had four large wantons and the broth was very flavorful. There didn't seem to be much else in the crab rangoon except cream cheese, but those suckers were HUGE and very pretty I must say. When the hubs travels again, I'll be sure to call in an order, totally worth the $16!

We have searched and searched for a good, solid place to satisfy our Chinese food cravings and this place is it. They are the only ones that can nail general tso ... each and every time! (Very consistent) Lo mein is fantastic too, not overly greasy. One item that can either be good or not-so-good at other places are the crab rangoons. & holy moly, those are tasty here... maybe because they are homemade! Thats right, while waiting for our take out order, we saw her making them by hand. That's love people. The only downfall I would say is if you place a to-go order in person and wait, you will definitely smell like Chinese food ... forever. Ha, but seriously, we just wait in the car. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my general tsao's. what's more, I loved their wonton soup! I get it, that's a little on the boring side of things-to-love, but a Chinese place warms my heart when the wonton soup isn't that yellow crap and I can actually enjoy the savory flavor! my wife didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I did, so I'm not so sure about making it a regular spot, but I would encourage you to go!

Mmm, tasty and quick service Chinese food. Review based on only one lunch with two people there, potential for an update in the future. Really really good egg rolls. Crispy, hot, not greasy. Entrees were good for the money. Tasty sauce and veggies, meat was ho-hum in quality. I bet the vegetarian dishes are great. Clean place, good service and the food was on an actual plate and not plastic or styrofoam. For the about $5 plus tax and tip for lunch, good deal.

After remembering to write this review, Liu's will possibly be dinner again tonight. Last week, I had the Wor Su Gai & steamed dumplings last week and was overall very pleased. The steamed dumplings were tasty with just the right amount of seasoning and I'd recommend them for steamed dumpling fans. Now, the Wor Su Gai... I love Wor Su Gai, but this was cooked vastly different from what I'm used to. Everywhere else in the country that I've ordered Wor Su Gai - and I generally try to order it everywhere I travel - I've gotten Almond Chicken; deep fried chicken breasts with a light gravy and sliced almonds. This is one of my favorite dishes. The Wor Su Gai @ Liu's was served with a heavier dark brown gravy and while I'm still not sure what kind of gravy it was I was surprisingly pleased with it. Long story short is that while I'll never give up my love of Almond Chicken I will definitely give the Wor Su Gai here another shot as I think it will grow on me over time. All in all, it was a tasty meal at a reasonable price with good sized servings that was delivered very quickly. I'd recommend giving them a chance.

Finally we found good Chinese food near us. Shame they won't deliver to where we live! It's worth driving to get take out... This is our Chinese to-go place from now on....

Solid Chinese food. My husband and I had it delivered to our hotel since we didn't want to go out in a rain storm. Decent fried rice, good lo mein, outstanding steamed dumplings. Would order from here again if in Louisville.

Love this place ! I take all my friends here who have not been. Lucy the owner is such a sweetheart. She pays attention to your taste buds, and will also cater to your specific dietary needs. Some of her customers are there 2-3 days a week to have her special treatment.

Gotta love this place. Best General's chicken and Hot & Sour Soup in town! Fair prices and friendly service. It's right next door to Domino's in Middletown.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
