Stopped in one night with a friend. Was a little worried because it was 6pm, but we were seated immediately. Waiter was very patient as we took our time visiting before ordering. I had chicken tenders and house salad, friend had pot pie. I was a little disappointed that meal came out 2 minutes after my salad, so it was lukewarm by the time I got to it, but still good. Friendly environment. I will be back to try buffalo chicken wrap -- heard it was yummy.

We arrived at Cheddars on Saturday night. 1-24-15 Seen how the ambience was and went to the bar before our table. The taps were perfect. Had a great bartender and was very nice. What an awesome fish tank. Sat at our table and couldn't believe how great the prices were. The food was delicious. Onion Rings were great. A must return visit next time we're in Louisville, KY. #ysbh #marsphotoz

My family, a family friend, and I ate there for dinner, It was great!! The atmosphere was awesome. The prices on the food was reasonable, and the food was great. Our waitress was very good and attentive, I never ran out of a drink. She brought the plate for the 2 year old out early, we were very impressed.

I went here with my whole family and it was very delightful. This place has a great atmosphere and it's defiantly a good place for big families. This restaurant is so beautiful in general. The inside and outside is outstanding and has such a beautiful view. The waitresses are very kind and constantly helps you when you need help. Their food are amazing. Their fries, Mac & cheese, steak, and everything else.. Yummmmmmm. Their prices are pricey, which was the only thing that bothered me. But it's a restaurant, so I wasn't really surprised. I must say, their bathroom is also very nice. It's kept clean and works. When I come back to Kentucky, I'm defiantly coming back here! My family loves this place and so do I. (:

We get cheddars whenever we travel to a place that has it. Of all the ones I've been to, this one was the worst, BUT it was still good. Good food at a great price. I can't really complain. The strawberry lemonade is great and so was the monte Cristo. Id suggest cheddars to anyone. Friendly and helpful waiter too! One of the members at our table had a bad chicken dish though.

This venue in Louisville, Kentucky had me at Welcome to Cheddar's after being away from the DC area for a week. Our group had a brief wait in the bar area and we enjoyed cocktails along with great conversation with the locals. Kentucky is the south and we enjoyed the warm felling of welcome to our town while enjoying the cocktails made to order. Our wait was longer than expected and the management made sure we were compensated for our wait with appetizers. The wait staff reminded me of how attention to detail really matters. Every time our drinks were half full we had another drink placed in front of us from another staff member. Our food was delivered together at once and everyone enjoyed their selections. Mind you the selections were shared by the staff as they recommended nearly everything on the menu. We actually closed the restaurant and bar on this day. I highly recommend visiting this venue as we where looking to dine at the restaurant across the street (Texas Roadhouse). We made a great choice and I will visit the local Cheddar's in the DMV to see if it's the same experience along with trying other items on the menu. "Let's Go! Make It Happen!"

Visit here often...good food & good prices. Favorites are Key West Chicken & Shrimp, Grilled Tilapia w/Mango Salsa, Homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup & of course the Grande Top Shelf Margarita. Great place to get together with good friends.

I arrived at the Cheddars early on a Tuesday. It was the always important business lunch and I was not about to disappoint by selecting the nearby Jimmy Johns. We started with a crowd pleaser, the chips and queso. I found the chips to be a bit on the greasy side, with a strong presence of sodium kernels. The cheese dip itself hinted at a time from the old tex-mex days. Light pepper spice notes gave way to cheesy goodness. The menu provided ample dining experiences, from the always reliable burgers to the smokehouse style of baby back ribs. I opted for the jalapeno burger, with fried jalapeno's and a spicy chipotle mayo. The meat was cooked to order, medium well (as required by the Cheddars kitchen team). I found the buns to be buttery and the meat well seasoned. The mayo and peppers added a kick to the pants! In conclusion, Cheddars shines through the clutter with ample offerings and service nestled in the comforts of a pleasant and unassuming decor.

The sampler appetizer is great. Only the potato soup is really nice. My dinner was the Cajun Catfish and it is worth every penny.

I've been to Cheddar's a few times, but this time the service was ridiculously awesome! Our server was delightful, and made sure that we were taken care of. I just went for drinks and appetizers with a friend, but she didn't make us feel slighted. We had the nacho's which were omgosh yum! They set out the nacho chips individually and make sure that beef or chicken and cheese gets on every single chip! I recommend doing half chicken and half beef, but that's a personal opinion. I also got a cherry something alcoholic drink which was delicious. On other visits I've ordered the chicken fried steak which is always tasty :) For sure will be back!

For a chain restaurant, I really enjoy the occassional Cheddar's visit. The food helpings are abundant and the price is well worth it. The fish tacos are superb and the kid's meals are not chinzy at all!

My roommate is obsessed with Cheddar's. Granted, she worked at one in Illinois for several years and I'm sure much of her love has to do with fond memories as much as it has to do with food, drink, and decor - I still felt the need to try this magical place because of her passion for it. Last night was my second time at Cheddar's, and I know I will definitely be back. Highs: - You can combine any of the special flavors for either their lemonades or teas (and presumably you could combine a flavored lemonade with a flavored tea and make a Phil Mickelson...which is what I'm now calling an eccentric Arnold Palmer). I tried the peach/raspberry tea and it was delicious! - Huge portions. I got the Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms ($9.49)...and brought 3/4 of it home in a box. It came with 2 chicken breasts, mushrooms, rice, and 2 sides (plus I had already drank like 5 glasses of delicious tea). - Classy and clean looking restaurant. Strange fan contraption hanging from the ceiling in the central dining area that looks like something from A Bug's Life.( 2.bp.blogspot.com/_oWpFG… ) Low: - Waiter kept up with our table and brought us refills as needed, but he didn't collect the glasses as they were emptied...so our table had a dozen or so empties sitting at the end of the table just taking up space. Granted he may have thought we were in some kind of competitive drinking club and that we would want to keep track of our progress. Summary: Yes, this is a chain. Yes, the restaurant may be packed with UK fans. Yes, one patron was an adult wearing a coonskin hat. Yes, all of the lightposts in the parking lot are armed with cameras. But don't let those factors scare you away! Cheddar's calls itself a casual cafe, and I agree that they are good at that and do it better than most.

This was our first time to this establishment. It took an hour to order and receive our entire meal. The staff delivered two meals to our table 10 minutes prior to the rest of our group receiving our orders. The food was extremely salty not too mention extremely slow. The waitress did a good job , but overall the service is extremely slow. I would not recommend this specific location.

Almost, ALMOST a five star experience for me. Let's touch base on everything... The food was very good. We got a variety of things, from chicken fried steak to pasta, appetizers, tried quite a few things. Overall the the food was very good but nothing jumped out at you as a spectacular/have-to-try-this kinda item. There wasn't a single that thing that was disappointing or bad however. The portions are huge and the prices are excellent. You can come in here and pay a little less for, what is in my opinion, better food and a better experience than some comparable casual chain restaurants (I'm lookin' at you Applebees and Chilis). The service was great. They were very busy, not quite packed but it was just about a full house and our servers area was full. He was on the ball all night, quick to are table for drinks, quick back for our orders, the food was prepared in a timely manner and was brought out to us promptly. Excellent experience on that end. The facility itself is decorated well, the interior and exterior are very aesthetically pleasing and it makes you feel like you're in a little bit classier establishment than you really are. Be forewarned, this place gets LOUD. That was the only thing I really wasn't expecting and had a problem with. Now, it wouldn't be unusual at say a dive bar or packed little hole in the wall establishment that was poppin' every friday night...but this is a casual family place (or at least is advertised as such) and this place gets CRAZY loud to the point where you're shouting at the person across the table from you to keep your conversation going. This probably isn't the best place for a quite family outing with the kids while you're trying to wind down for the night. The noise shouldn't be an a HUGE issue however for most couples or small parties. All in all it was an excellent experience and I'd recommend giving Cheddar's a shot for a big heaping plate of some good food.

All you really need to know: Dinner for 8 $160 with tip. Unbelievable value. I had never heard of Cheddar's until last week. Some of our local friends recommended it and we were all surprised. The menu had a good variety and it was super affordable. Our group had a couple of appetizer sampler platters, entrees, beers and desserts. Everything was great. The service was friendly and accommodating. I can see why it was so busy last Friday night. Way better than any of the meals we had on the river in Jeffersonville.

I can't recall the first time I went to a Cheddar's, but I've been there a handful of times - all different locations. This past weekend, I convinced my friends to head to Cheddars for dinner. I'm in the business of counting calories and had looked up that they had a under 700 category with some delicious sounding options. We waited about 15 minutes before being seated - Cheddar's was hoping for an 8pm Sunday night dinner! Our server was personable but was soft-spoken. I needed to lean in to hear him! Unfortunately, this location was not a participating location of the under 700 menu. I had decided I wanted a steak so I ordered the the 8 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. I also really enjoy flavoring options for drinks and Cheddar's happens to have mango, raspberry, strawberry, and peach for either tea or lemonade. I order a raspberry peach tea. Sweet, and flavorful! The server did not take the empty glasses from our table, so we had about 12 empty glasses towards the end of the meal. I wish I were exaggerating, but I'm not. My steak was perfectly cooked to order - medium-well and the mashed potatoes were so delicious. I do not know what they put in the food here, but I really like it! The seasoning on the steak was full of flavor. I've previously ordered the cheese fries, caesar salad, club, and edamame, all that I enjoyed. I have to give this particular experience only 3 stars. All of the empty glasses on our table were somewhat obnoxious. Also, later that evening, I realized that I never received my caesar salad! We had ordered an appetizer and my food came out and I forgot completely about my salad. The server also charged me two drinks but corrected the charge. I look forward to returning, trying more delicious food from their varied menu and bumping my rating up!

No real complaints but we ate at Texas Roadhouse the next day and both the food and the service put Cheddar's to shame, well, at least lowered it on the food chain. It's always crowded and always loud. Like the 3 star rating says, it's "ok".

I have to say that Cheddar's is consistent. We decided to try this new location after a graduation. We were not disappointed. I had the fried catfish with two sides. It was delicious. My wife had the choose three. We both had more food than we could eat, so take home boxes were in order. The service was very good. My only complaint is the noise level. Seems like every time we go to a Cheddar's the noise is so loud we have a hard time even hearing each other talk at the same table. The acoustics are horrible.

I'm a fan of this chain in general. Very tasty food offered up at prices a couple bucks less than it's chain competitors (though, there's no freebies here like chips or rolls... so maybe it evens out). I enjoy their chicken tenders. They don't have as much flavor compared to others, but the large portion size, the large size of each piece, and the awesome crust more than makes up for it. A dip in the great honey-mustard adds plenty of flavor. My partner tried a "New Orleans Pasta" dish. I grabbed a bite and it was great... I'll try it next. Wait time was about an hour. This place is still crowded like it just opened. Most people don't seem to mind waiting an hour. Because of this, the tiny waiting area is tight... I was literally pressed up against other people while I waited. People were waiting in the dining areas too... standing over other people as they ate... now that's crowded. I mentioned prices that seem a little less than competitors. In my opinion, the look of this place is a notch or two better... making it an overall good value. I love the incorporated stone and copper details. I didn't have good service this nice. Not bad... just dry. In the end, I still like this place.

Great Food! Good service! Large Portions. My favorite is the Philly Cheese steak. Expect a wait to be seated on most days. I was told that Mondays are easier to get seated quickly. Last I was told, they did not have the carry-out service up and going but it is planned for the future.

Love the broccoli casserole. It is my favorite. Huge oirruin on chicken tenders. Don't recommend the red beans and rice.

I love Cheddars. It's clean, friendly, great tasting and large portions. I love the Chicken Caesar Salad Pasta. I've never seen it anywhere else. Great prices too!
