In a jam and needed something delicious and quick to eat. Decided to stop by the original Bearno's (at least that's what I've heard) and see what they had to offer. This location has a good amount of seating but also offers take out right as you walk in. Went up to the window and ordered the lasagna and their buffalo wings. While I waited I decided to have a beer. Nice bottle options for their patrons that are dining in. Twenty or so minutes later, my order was ready and I was on the way home. So... let's start with the wings. I had bought them for my husband because he is super picky and doesn't like Italian. Well... unfortunately he didn't like the wings either. I had one myself and I thought it was just blah. On another note... the lasagna was delicious. I literally ate the entire thing before my husband got home. It's single serve - or at least that's what I considered it. Half when I got there and half later and I was super satisfied. They make their lasagna nice and cheesy, just the right amount of sauce, and it includes sausage. Not too much to make any part overwhelming, but enough to give you the flavors of each. Long story short, I went back a week later for the lasagna! Did I mention I love simple Italian? I would recommend the lasagna to anyone. I'm sure it's not the best lasagna anywhere - come on... it costs less than $10. But it's worth every one of those pennies. In summary (lol), this experience is probably worth three point five stars. Bearno's is known for their pizza and I haven't tried it at this location so I can't give it more at this time. However, I will no doubt be back!

I ordered online, and after an almost two hour* wait I telephoned the restaurant to check on my order. The employee that answered the phone first said she had no knowledge of my order, and then that my address was out of the restaurant's delivery area. I tried to give her my order number (the one from the order's confirmation email), and she said it "wouldn't help." Her answer was simply: "we don't delivery to your area." When I tried to explain that the restaurant's website said otherwise, she said I must have had the wrong Bearno's. As calmly as I could, I told the employee that both the website and my confirmation email listed the Taylorsville Road location. She was convinced I was "reading the email wrong." I asked to speak to the manager, she obliged. The manger repeated his employee, "we don't deliver to your area," but he also had a suggestion. He advised me to call the third party (Speedy Tab) that handle's the restaurant's online orders to complain. Apparently servicing a customer was not part of his job description. I will never again entertain the idea of pizza from Bearno's Little Sicily, and if anyone is looking for a suggestion for pizza in Louisville I will literary recommend every other establishment before Bearno's. *It was a game night, I figured the wait was due in part to that.

I love that this Bearno's is so close to Bowman Field! My husband and I often fly to Louisville, walk across the street to this location, enjoy our lunch and fly home to Lexington! Today, he's solo and bringing me back an order of cheese sticks! This always reminds me of my college days at U of L because a Bearno's was right off campus and a local hangout for classmates and I. My husband loves the meaty pizza. Everything I've tried has been great!

Worst place ever. They never showed up. We waited 2 hours and when we called to ask the stays, the manager hung up. This hotel will never recommend them again.

We were very impressed. We got the regular special pizza. Tons of toppings. They couldn't stay on. It came with sausage, pepperoni, black and green olives, bell pepper, onions, mushrooms. They didn't skimp on any. The peppers and mushrooms were so fresh. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. It doesn't resemble the fast food pizza of today. The crust was a great homemade tasting bread. Not cracker crust and not so thick, that you can't enjoy the toppings. Even the sweet tea was great. Strong tea and not too sweet. Our server was Carson. She was so sweet and enjoyable. I wish all servers were as happy as she. With great food, awesome service, very reasonable prices, and layed back atmosphere, we will definately be back while we are here in Louisville.

I agree with the previous posts in the sense that they are very generous with their toppings. However, I was disappointed in my experience. There was a very limited selection to choose from. While they did have a build your own, it would have proved to be very expensive. We got the BBQ chicken pizza and I did not think it was worth what they charged.

The pizza was GREAT! Bearno's is probably my new favorite pizza restaurant. The food came to the table piping hot and they didn't get skimpy on the toppings! Laura, the server we had was very friendly and helpful, she also provided prompt knowledgeable service! This was a fantastic visit and I'm already looking forward to the next time I eat here...

The pizza was great - got a all meats. However, was hard to enjoy our meal because the restaurant was so cold -servers and one other table including us commented on how cold we were. Get your pizza to go.

This place is pretty spacious and feels like a real pizza place. I ordered the customized pizza which is worth the money. I would definitely go there again.

Bearno's pizza is as good as it gets. I enjoy getting a tossed salad with ranch dressing and a large jalapeño cheese pizza. That with a large tea and I'm in heaven. I've tried most everything on the menu and there really isn't anything that's not good. If you like pizza, you'll love Bearno's

Bearno's is one of the great pizza restaurants in the area. Its great for singles and families alike. The pizza is amazing with, homemade crust and sauce, the taste is to die for. It is by far my favorite pizza restaurants in Louisville.

Eaten here many times, both dine-in and take-out as well as delivery. Pizza is flavorful and piled with toppings (try the All-Meats, which is literally an inch thick on a thin crust.) Breadsticks are good, but not as doughy as most places. My wife loves the crispy chicken salad, which is almost big enough for two to share. The parking lot gets crowded on Mondays and Tuesdays, when kids eat free, and when the surrounding neighborhood has their neighborhood watch meeting.

Bearno's serves up some good Louisville style pizza. Hearty amount of sauce and cheese, and they pile on the toppings. If you get a specialty pizza, the toppings are literally falling off. Most of the ingredients taste fresh. Very good pizza. A few years ago, Bearno's was my favorite pizza place in the city. I'm not sure if they've gone downhill some or my tastes have expanded and improved some, but I'm not head-over-hills for Bearno's like I used to be. I'm not sure what it is. The flavor of the pizza just isn't as good as some local pizza joints. Plus, it seems like Bearno's can be hit-or-miss. I've had awesome pizzas from here, but I've had pizzas that left me underwhelmed. Don't get my wrong, it's definitely good pizza. But with prices in line with Impellizzeri's and Wick's, the taste isn't on their level. I can't speak for the delivery, but the service at this particular location has always been slow. The pizza always takes longer than expected to come out. Your server really doesn't check on you much. This place has laid-back, family-type feel, kind of like people are just hanging out, so that could contribute. All in all, I still enjoy a Bearno's pizza from time to time. The pizza is good and they are a solid 4 star pizza place.
